Great video, I have the same saw and it works well for what I do. I think DeWalt markets 20v because of licensing fees from Milwaukee as they own the 18volt name. [Edit] I would also recommend getting a 4 or 5 amp hour battery for longer runtime.
When I do a cut where I know the angle and length is important I take my carpenter pencil and use it to wedge the guard open so it much easier to position the saw where you want it. Just dont forget and set the saw down with the blade still spinning....
I wish it was brushless, but I still like this saw better than the 570. The smaller size and weight is just handier and I find the left blade easier to use in most situations. If I didn't have a corded 7.25" saw though, I'd probably go with the 570.
Hi, Yes, this a great 6 1/2 circular by DeWalt. I agree on the cut line it's a little off. Works great with 5.0ah or 6.0ah (new battery) with the 21700 cells. I also like using the diablo blade on this saw. What a big difference with blade and larger ah battery. This dewalt saw has been out for a few years now. I hope DeWalt can make a Brushless motor version with a LED light, rafter hook and correct that cut line. Also a 7 1/4" left side blade with top handle. Not the rear handle that they have now. I hope this saw work out for you and thanks for the video
Ya I have the same saw mine has a different shoe only thing that's annoying with this saw is shoe and how it chews thru batterys other than that it's nice and lite for quick rips if b this saw had a brushless motor I think battery life would be way better
Johnathon Check your number and if it is NOT DCS391B You do not have the same saw !!!>>> DeWalt has THREE 6 1/2" circular saws and the DCS393B is the Most powerful !!!
I would have to double check my model number it is several years old now has held up well only that I find annoying is that there is no clear bevel lines it would be nice if they had painted them or something
I bought a Dewalt drill, with 2 batteries, charger, bag, and this came free with it. Great deal. First thing I noticed that I was somewhat disappointed about was the plastic lower guard. I have not seen that before, and I am concerned of breakage and safety. Should that be a concern, or do you think it will suffice?
You have your hearing protection on which is great, but no eye protection. Great video! Enjoyed it
I used to watch you for reloading and all the sudden I look up for a tool and here you are. Subbed. Good work here

If u take the guard off you can make a 7.25 inch blade fit.

I kind of had the same concern but mine's holding up very well.
The makita one is plastic as well
good test
Branded as 18v in the UK
Like your video good info but I would wear a safety glass.
agree about the video review ad safety glasses.
WHY did you take the yellow tipped DeWalt blade out of the package and mount yet your cutting was with a red blade ??? Bait and switch ???
Diablo blade, they specialize in making better blades
Kobalt is 24v✌️
