Dam that cop looked fresh out of high school
Thanks for posting a positive video about a police encounter. Cops that actually care about the job they are doing, and the people they work for, don't get enough recognition.
People saying that they're worried for the cop about his job with this video being up, that's not how it works. Almost every traffic stop (instead of something like e felony stop) is officer discretion. Which means the cop makes his own judgment calls and is completely supported by pretty much every department. Him not giving him a ticket was his choice and he is allowed to do that.

I was traveling at 150 mph and when i looked in rear view mirror i seen a cop car under blue lights and then stopped. When asked why i was speeding i told the cop that my ex wife married a cop and when i looked in my mirror i thought he was bringing her back to me 😂... He seen the funny side and let me go without a ticket... How cool was that 😂!!
The interesting thing is that, the fact that the cop did not give him a ticket made this guy reluctant to speed, which is the same intended effect as a ticket or fine, so the cop is still doing his job of dettering crime.
I was riding my bike when I was a teenager and seen some cute girls walking up the side walk so I pulled a wheelie , what I didnt know is there was an unmarked cop behind me , he pulled me over and gave me a tongue lashing I told him i was showing off for the girls , he let me go with a warning

Sometimes a warning is more productive than a ticket. Good job Trooper.
At least this guy was honest enough to call himself an idiot when he willfully broke the law

Part of the reason why you didn't get a ticket was the fact that you complied instantly. You turn off your bike, you showed the palm of your hands, hands up, with no abrupt moves. And finally you were honest and respectful.
You were very cool, honest, and showed respect, this is what made the difference.
