In the acute stage before onset of ROP hypoxia causes high VGEF. After the onset of ROP high VGEF may result PROGRESSION . Higher SpO2 target may reduce VGEF and reduce progression. But this results in more BPD. Hence maintain SPO2 between 91 to 95 always if on any respiratory support.
