This made me tear up a little because i’m 22 and just two months into my first big girl job at a hospital lab. i find myself being overwhelmed by the slightest events at work and wanting to do things perfectly when in fact, i need to give myself more grace
Danielle in the calm yourself video chapter is 100% me, and the fertility issue is huge. I agree that a lot of the narrative about women pursuing their career and life goals before marriage and/or kids tells a very one-sided story about achieving success as a woman in a "man's world" and leaves out the [emotional, physical, financial, even social] costs of potentially high risk pregnancies.
Work anxiety can be real intense at times! You’re completely right, and I like how you phrased the realities of the risk of continually putting off children if that’s something one desires! Thank you for watching and adding to the conversation Anthonia ❤️
This mini series has been amazing and so helpful I cannot thank you enough for sharing such key information in an easy digestible form. As I am going through such a transformative stage in my life, doing this that I never would’ve imagined so early in my 20s all these tips and viewpoints are something I will carry throughout this new decade 💖
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching and being open to some of the concepts and ideas. I wish you all the best in these upcoming years and beyond! ❤️
I'm glad I stumbled across it. I can see why it's bittersweet. Being in your 20s in the information age is definitely a blessing for us. Nonetheless so many of these tips transcend decades. I hope your 30s have been and continue to be good to you.
I'm about to graduate from college and have no idea what I'll be doing next, but seeing the lives that other women are building for themselves is definitely inspirational in navigating this phase. Love your content; I find I'm actually inspired and pushed to make change in my real life after engaging with it.
Honestly, this is why I started this channel. Hearing you feedback that the content is useful and inspirational warms my heart. Good luck with graduation and beyond whatever you decide to do ❤️
I am quite grateful to find this channel just before hitting 20. Like 3 months. I am trying to actually learn and implement things from your video. sending my smiling heart whelming "Thanks" to you.
Thank you for sharing this! I’m not 20 yet, but just started my apprenticeship a few weeks ago and this was really useful to hear, particularly when you spoke on how confident is gained through doing. God bless you and yours Adama ❤
I’m so happy I came across your channel. I recently turned 24 and it hit me like a train knowing I’m one year away from turning 25. I have this urge to want to get my life together but was feeling so lost as to where to start. Your videos have been a huge help in this process so thank you 🤍
Wow, I really just wanted to say thank you. I’ve been in the process of building a house for the last year and a half (started at 22) and buy a car outright. I’ve been feeling so many things around not having been able to enjoy my youth, and signing up to financial pressure to early. This video truly made me feel validated and I really appreciate knowing that I haven’t wasted precious time. I’ll def reach for this book 💛
You sound like you're doing amazing. You're making the decisions that are right for you which may look different to others- always remember that. I hope you enjoy the book! ✨
This book has been on my radar and I greatly appreciate you for doing a mini series on it. I am extremely grateful to have these topics already at my personal forefront. It is so important to be intentional, even though I am not sure of the complete end game, I have an idea of the direction I need to work towards. Stay blessed Adama 💛🙏🏾✨
I’m 50 and my main piece of advice is do NOT not have children in your 20’s. You’re still developing mentally and so are the males you may like. Practice birth control. ❤
I agree with Berenice. If you see value in attaining a degree in terms of education and career prospects then it’s a no brainier. Given the finances make sense etc then go for it! I would say explore the options for degree apprenticeships too. Where you get the degree effectively paid for and work at the same time for a company building up work experience too can be useful! Wish I’d known about that one lol ❤️

Okay so what do you all think about starting uni again at 21? Im scared scared
If you see value going into college, do it. It’s a commitment. Age doesn’t matter, it’s what you gain from it that matters. You can do it. ✨
