  • This time of year, a lot of you are wanting to get ripped. Today I will go over 5 reasons why you might not be hitting that goal. Some of the things I talk about might sound simple, but putting them into practice isn't so easy. Let me know some of the reasons why you might not be getting that beach body in the comments.       A lot of California gyms will be opening Friday of course a couple my gyms already been open one of them about a month and the other one about 2 weeks my third gym will open this Friday some will be with restrictions like no showers class kid clubs and depending on the size some will do appointment only the ones that I go to there is no appointments just can't use the showers

      I weigh myself only once a week when I first start it I did about everyday and it would go up and down then I did it once a week

      John simply gives honest solid advice and doesn’t need to create drama or lift fake weights to attract subs. I really value his advice, honesty and integrity. What’s helped me the most is his workout sequencing - Activate, Load, Fatigue and Stretch (ALFS). To help me remember, I nicknamed John’s sequencing as Uncle ALFS way.

    John miss your wisdom so much, I really needed to hear this. Im really skinny, I only weigh my self once a week and this week when I weighed my self I lost 4 pounds :( I had one stressful day/ no sleep! I almost wanted to give up because it took me months to gain that 4 pounds idk I’m just stuck rn and really need your guidance :( miss you brother I’ll take your word and stay on my plan!

    Hey John love the content I always look forward to listening to the advice you give as I am on my own fitness journey and have been going through a period of major weight loss by really changing my life and have gone from 346 lbs. to 207 lbs. over the last year of training and have used tips from you and Jeff Nippard both to improve my nutrition and my training protocol to lose weight and gain muscle in the process and I am now closing in on my goal hoping to hit it by mid July to August so once again thank you John and keep up the great work on your videos

    I went from 195lbs to over 220lbs. This is because I drink Premiere Protein Shakes everyday. I will keep working-out and drinking my shakes. I'm different. I want extreme muscle. No diet for me. When I get my money again I will buy more shakes. I'm not able to get real fat. I think about what I would look like with an Incredible Hulk Body. Without these shakes I would stay at around 190lbs - 205lbs.

    Definitely agree with the snacks. We all have that hobby of overeating through snacks. It's okay to have snacks but you need to watch the calories. I recently found a snack that taste good and is low on calories. I started to eat low calorie snacks and it has helped me a lot.

    Just another thing I’d like to add. I live in NJ and one thing Ive been doing to lean out is just walking around my house/backyard. I aim for 10-15k steps a day and when I’m doing that I notice the most differences. However I still make sure I’m doing resistance work 4-6 days a week

    Great to see you back and looking healthy John - started a good diet and losing weight that I always called my bulking phase that lasted 20yrs 😂- my concern is that my body type is bulky big, 30 years training and I’ve never been ripped! With covid I want now to be strong and good overall physique and healthy- full body routine 3 times a week - tips welcomed and continued good health and happiness 👍🏼

    Thanks for the advice. I keep trying to lose weight and then I over do it cutting calories. Then I end up with a major headache and muscle cramps. It is nice to be reminded to make smaller adjustments.

    Thank you so much I was over training and didn’t lose anything that created more problems cause I couldn’t sleep and became obsessive but I’ve learned now and just taking it as it comes.
