you just made me realize why I love fall this much. after the overheating terribleness and how difficult it is to do things when it's so hot, like you feel like you've run a marathon after two stores and a walk, and also the oppressive crowds, and increased social engagements, having a slow, chill time doing nothing much but sitting and reading is such a relief! (even if we're at the end of septembre and it's STILL 27° here lol. We had One (1) rainy day lately and I was amazed).
I never really understood why I loved autumn so much until you mentioned "because the world matches my vibe in these months" and that's just so true. I love rainy autumn days at home - loosing track of time and just spend time reading or cooking or watching series. And I LOVE your vlogs on this channel, they're so lovely and calming - please keep on doing them!!
wuthering heights is my favorite classic ever, i love it so much with my whole angst seeking heart
Literally my two favourite transitions in year are when after summer comes autumn and when after winter comes spring...i just love it
I read Wuthering Heights for the first time this year and it became an instant favorite. I think you're really gonna love it, especially since you love Jane Eyre 💖

If you read gothic novels, read Carmilla by J Sheridan Le Fanu!! It’s only 100 pages or so and it’s the vibe!

I'm so jealous of your autumn weather. I live in Portugal and today, the last day of September, it was 34°C and obnoxiously sunny. How can I enjoy all those cosy vibes of a good book with a warm cup of tea by the fireplace when my face is melting?!

Between is such a lovely book! It's very long, it's technically two books in one but very sweet and funny. It's like if Neil Gaiman's Sandman were to be written by Terry Pratchett.

Ah, the moon from Le voyage dans la lune! 🙂 (right at the beginning, in the collage) A silent movie from 1902.
I mostly know it because the French group Air made a soundtrack album for the movie, though I've never listened to it. It's a later album, not from their golden era of Talkie Walkie and Moon Safari. But who knows, might still be good.

It's so funny I was just looking in my Wuthering Heights book before watching this video, and it's the same edition you found! 😂 by the way, use the scalp massager before you wash your hair not while it's wet as your hair is more fragile while it's wet. I usually just use my fingers massaging my scalp every night before bed and its so relaxing. The scalp massager is not as relaxing but good to use for taking away build-up

I loved your reasoning for why you love the autumn season. I never really understood why the autumn season calls me more than any other season and your reason as to why you love autumn resonated so much with me. I also feel like I dont match the "energy" that spring or the summer season brings and when autumn comes around, I too, feel like finally I can keep up with the energy of the current season where everything is at a slower pace, easeful, and a bit more gentle. Lovely video!

I tried to read through Wuthering Heights earlier this month and I couldn't finish it. I think it is a good book, but I was just really in the mood for a super dark, ghosty book and it just didn't give me that. I will return to it eventually, but I would love to hear your take on it!
I've loved most of the book recs that you talked about in your Fall videos so far, so maybe you can romanticize Wuthering Heights enough for me to get back to it and finish it haha
