The guy "Playing a guitar like a piano" is playing a Steel Guitar. They are more complex than a regular guitar and are commonly used in "Classic" Country music to get that warbly sound.
I recommend listening to "Crazy" by Patsy Cline
Edit: When I was a Sound Engineer in Theatre I did the sound design for two separate versions of the Patsy Cline musical so I'm quite partial to her music. I also worked with a Steel Guitar player who made his own guitars so him and I collaborated to find the best one for him to use in the shows. It's an incredible instrument.

Definitely try Patsy Kline's Sweet Dreams or Crazy. Also, if this like this country rock sound, try The Eagles Hotel California.

I get lost in that song every time--Linda's voice a perfect pitch of sultry and soul. Had to remember to open my eyes to watch the twins' reaction lol. Another great pick, and great reaction!

Check out her duet with Aaron Neville when they performed "Don't Know Much" on the Grammy Awards. Just a phenomenal performance by both of them.
