Every time I hardened my heart, I knew it was wrong, but foolishly thought, "Oh, God will forgive me". And indeed He would, but I never, ever expected to pay the price I would eventually have to pay.

I declare and decree that this spirit and strong hold of smoking will become so uncomfortable and disturbing to his spirit that with your lift up a standard of renew strength in him that he will not allow even his thoughts to take control of him. Lord when those thoughts come May You give him the power and strength to rebuke them, and that he will not even go the store to make that purchase. I can personally attest to the truth of this message. I was astray (willingly hardening my heart periodically) for 13 years. I finally submitted to the Lord completely in '10, but am still paying the price for that time astray.
Here's something I learned in hindsight: It wasn't until 7+ years after complete submission that the Lord allowed me to fully comprehend the seriousness of my sins during that time; I spent 12+ hours one day repenting of every single sin He brought to mind. Afterward, I thought of Nebuchadrezzar, who spent 7 years being greatly humbled before returning to his right mind.
After repenting, the Lord finally allowed me to begin bearing fruit again, although in greatly humbling circumstances.
In short: If you're considering doing something you know the Lord doesn't want you to do, don't do it. Whatever it may be, it's definitely not worth it.

Dr Stanley's videos always match the situations I encounter. It's like I need Jesus to speak to me and I get His answers right on time. I'm in thr middle of job search where I am tempted to take jobs that I know that are out of God's Will (since those revolve around money). I hope God gives me another job offer where I can fulfill God's plan in my life.

I can personally attest that I was about to leave my job a little over a year ago because of situations going on, and I was not yet a christian. But you see I stayed in there a few months longer and it got so bad I cried out to God and after being self deceived for two years that I was a Christian when I in fact was not, I gave my life to Christ. I know the exact day, almost time of day, I know the exact place, song and situation (including the weather) in which I gave my life to Christ. But you know I just switched apartments a few days earlier and if I never would have stayed and moved into that department, I never would have met a co-worker many months later who threw me into a turmoil, nothing by her own volition. I send greatly, but God used her, combined with other circumstances including k
covid, and got me back to church with my uncle. I love that place till death do me part from it. Just my testimony.... You will have yours, as it is building right now.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for giving me much hope. I did get a job but it's not something related to what a I studied for and is very toxic. It has gotten so bad as well and yesterday was the worst. I'm left here, stuck and crying out to God.

Having difficultly at work, working on a book for five years then go on vacation (making me homesick) and coming back to find I lost my will to write it and setting in that my high school "friends" had yet to reach out after a summer from graduating... I began to feel a longing. I had been a self-deceived Christian for quite some time. After said events, I realized something was missing so I took a walk. In an exact spot, at an almost exact time in the afternoon on my birthday, with rain just finished sprinkling and listening to "God of All My Days" by Casting Crowns... I realized he had only been my God because I wanted to succeed with that book. Now I didn't have it, so did I need Jesus? I realized I did and gave my life to him in the conditions I said above. There's a lot I'm leaving out for personal reasons, but I felt something different. Only months later in the midst of Covid-19 did I listen to a Dr. Charles Stanley sermon where he said about Christ being born 2000 years ago. Thinking to myself "Well, 2000 and twenty technically" I realized that was wrong and I trusted, for the first time, Christ had died AND rose. I looked andk and realized the moment I had months earlier was when Christ changed me so I wouldn't be so technical anymore, one of my biggest previous flaws.
Thank you Dr.Stanley for your sermon! These days I hear and get courage from the Spirit of the Lord so that I follow the path even though I couldn't see the whole picture. Thank you again and again Dr.Stanley.

Before I was always worried about my present and my future because I had nothing that was mine but when I started to listening to this sermons I knew how to live my life and that was to live the purpose, plan, will of God and according to His time. My life has changed a lot i can see a better tomorrow and the best future because am living according to His will. Through the will of God, He has changed my life, the way i think. Now, no matter how hard life gets, I remain strong knowing that Lord is working the best out of it because God does the impossible. And I know am gonna be very rich, i may not see a way now but I know God, will make away for me at His right time and I will wait patiently by living a godly life. I always tell myself that lam blessed indeed not only to set new standards for my family but also to bless others, before I turn 30years i will be aliving testimony and people will praise God for His goodness in my life because I will be a shining light to the needy, widows, orphans, the sick and thank you God because you are fulfilling my dreams and goals - nevertheless not my will but yours be done

Awakening message!
So I stepped outside the will of God for my life at a young age. And I'm still paying the cost, it's so bitter that often I just want to go home, and be with the Lord because I can't seem to bear it. So teach the kids and grandkids to fervently seek and follow God's will for their lives, to spare spare them the pain.
Nevertheless, I praise the Lord Jesus for all he's done for us, for his great faithfulness and love, for his power that saved us prodigal sons and daughters.

Thank you Dr Stanley, for always speaking words of life. I pray the Lord blesses you always! This teaching is so true. For me, I believe that the Holy Spirit can grow in us if we keep obeying Him and yielding to Him, and we do this by listening to His voice and as Dr Stanley says, think at least 3 times before we step out of the will of God. If you're a believer in Lord Jesus Christ, you'll have the Holy Spirit in you, but to amplify His voice, keep listening to Him and obeying Him, then His voice will be loud and clear and it will be much easier to stay within the shadow and protection of the Lord. HalleluYah!
His preaching now is deeper, truer, better than in his entire ministry. Earlier, he did not speak enough about consequences of sin only that you could be forgiven. I remember he said once saved, always saved and said he could wear a low cut shirt, a gold chain around his neck, skin tight pants, go and drink at a bar but he would not lose his salvation. He said he chose not to do that but never stated the reason he didn't. People laughed uproariously-- and felt like they could do what they wanted and still be saved. He never mentioned consequences then. But I believe he should have. Maybe he thought it was obvious. But he doesn't think so now or we wouldn't hear this message so clearly.

I can testify to this message, I have been living for about 6/7 Years with God now and the first years i was really active for the Lord, reading His word and living for Him, but than i faced many injustice for the will Of God, Like satan attacked me often trough people out of nowhere and i was bullied in school for my faith, and than i open up a door for satan and started buying things online, first things where ok but than i lost more and more the control of buying until i was in high debts. the Lord always in my heart pushed such a strong feeling, i feel like spiritually, i`m having an heartattack, but me in my ignorant mind thought like ``oh this is just me. i`m just playing fear`` but it was the Holy Spirit warning me, not to walk that way. i ignored that and had to suffer years over years because of stepping out of the Will of God, i had so many heartache, pain and depression trought being desobedient to God, my relationship towards God was really weak, i didnt spend time reading the word as much as i did before and i also behaved very fleshy towards others, sin will harden your heart! and forsure i`ve realized that everyrthing God does, is for our good. He is not someone who just like taking the things we want so bad, no! HE IS someone who exactly knows what those things brings to us. so He protects us, because His will is not that we have a miserable life, but a blessed life! God is so good and i repent so badly for my behavior. and I thank Him, He is still there to start over
