I had another queue jumper today Tony, in Exeter City Centre on a 2 lane one way road with red traffic lights at the end. Queue in lane 1, nothing in lane 2. Then suddenly a car shoots past in lane 2 to the traffic lights and cuts into lane 1 when the lights go green. Guess what make of car it was? Yep, Always An Audi!

I wish I had a dashcam when driving a 16-seater mini-bus with capacity for up to three wheelchair passengers through narrow suburban streets! Now happily retired for more than 4 years! Incidentally drove through central London as a learner driver many years ago, not any more :>) !!!

Re the learner driver at 11:00. I dont agree with your analysis and think the instructor probably gave the entirely correct instructions for positioning of the car. There is a so called lane for a right turn but it is ridiculously narrow and I have no idea why its been painted there. Even if a car was positioned 'within' it (which is impossible) there would still be no room for you to pass on the inside so they were quite right no to move over to ensure no-one tried to pass on the inside.
The first time that I drove on the M25 was in 2010. I was going to my nephews wedding. I was on a motorcycle, and I was wondering why no one was overtaking me. After about 10 minutes I suddenly realised why, I was doing my normal cruising speed but I wasn't at home, you see I live in Germany, and my normal cruising speed is160kph(100mph). 😱

There was a woman behind me at the temporary traffic lights this afternoon on her phone, I saw her doing it. Lights changed and I moved off and I was thinking with the horns blasting, I looked in the mirror and she was still sitting where I left her! The live drive vids sound good, could I watch them afterwards? I just watch your channel at night I don't really do much internet during the day.

You should consider waving to such as that lane changing white car driver as you catch him up. And as for the white car later coming towards you partially in your side, why didn't you toot your horn - as a wake up call to him? And those cyclists riding across crossings deserve as much - but i know you don't toot just out of annoyance.
I would have done the same as the learner giving the van room, but only on the basis nothing was coming the other way so I don’t stop and impede cars behind. Rather than ‘Why should I?’ It’s why shouldn’t I give a bit of free room so we’re all a bit further apart? It’s like moving over a bit so oncoming cars can pass parked cars using a bit of your lane.

Not interested in live drive. If two lanes onto roundabout there are generally two off, so to go straight on or turn right you can use right lane. The problem comes if you exit across to lane one when car was using left lane onto roundabout so should stay in right lane until safe to move into left lane.

I would like the live drive it would be interesting, the pedestrian crossing,why use the light if the road is not busy ,why stop one car why not wait 5 Second's then cross I hate people who like to inconvenience other people for no reason.
The thing is the road is big enough for a car to go past it if it's in that half a lane, this road can get very busy and normally you just wouldn't be able to turn right without waiting for oncoming traffic so next time that learner goes down that road and tries the same thing it might not be able to turn right but will be holding up traffic behind it because it's not using the right turn lane.
@thelondondashcam There is no way that that section of road is wide enough for two cars to pass safely and impossible when one vehicle is slightly wider, ie van or lorry. And I wouldn't be surprised if the instructor told the learner NOT to try to get into that half lane to prevent anyone thinking that they could pass safely on the inside!

If the police were that interested in prosecuting then they would reach out to these dashcam channels asking for more info but they don't. Filling out the form and uploading a 3 minute clip of every bad car driver you see would also take 3 days a week and you'd need a secretary to deal with everything, if the police had a more visible presence on our roads they wouldn't need the public to do their job. As far as YT earnings go I think the vast majority of your subscribers don't care what you earn and, as you've said before, your channel earnings allow you to buy better equipment to make better videos. IMO though I don't care what anyone earns, it's their business and no-one else's and, as someone who had a channel with 20-25k subscribers, I can confirm you ain't taking a month off every year to visit Antigua or Bermuda, in fact my earnings didn't cover car MOT/insurance for a year in my case (I wasn't a dashcam channel). Spending my time working in my local Aldi would have given me 10x better earnings per hour as most videos were earning me about £1/hr although I was just proving to my kids, between 6-10yrs at the time, that being a big YT star was not as good as having a real life job unless you were the one in a million channels that made it really big.
The police would note of being on the phone or anything but they will not care. They have to see to give people tickets and stuff they can’t just knock on somebody’s door and say give me all your dash cam footage. They have to see it with their own bloody eyes
The merc at 12:40, nothing even remotely happened.. yet another useless clip to shame people for pretty much nothing. They would need to be blind to not see you. Did they get close? Was there almost an accident? No? Well then why put their face on the internet to shame them? Once again you are going too far.
The point of the clip was to highlight inconsiderate driving. It would have taken less than a second for the Merc driver to lift a hand in thanks but they didn't despite LDC waiting for them and this typifies modern driving and other people's attitudes. That's why the clip was included!!

The chap on the Mad Mile.... You say it's a mile, and according to your time stamp he did it in 75 seconds. That equates to 48mph average. So how can you say he didn't do more than 35-40mph. Either it's significantly LESS than a mile, or your estimate of his speed is off base...
Regardless of the speed the prat in the right lane's speed, he was not going the speed limit and should NOT be in the right lane. Isn't the right lane for passing in the UK?? That's what I've learned from watching videos on YT. He never passed a single vehicle.

(At 11:19 - 11:40) - Learner driver turning right - the centre (half-) lane is marked first with an arrow showing it is for traffic coming the other way, turning into GRANGE VALE - on the left. Then, WITHOUT ANY WARNING, it becomes a (half-) lane to assist traffic turning right. I rate the road markings as "ambiguous" at best - certainæy confusing - possibly unlawful. Are there not rules for just how to put white lines on the road ? If they are being followed here, then they are certainly inadequate. I know it is very expensive to conrete/asphalt/kerbstone your way to a better road junction - much cheaper to paint your way out of a difficulty - but this is ridiculous.

I have only recently found your channel and i am so glad i did, it's very entertaining and i find myself also swearing at the other drivers in your videos. Never seen your live clips before it would be interested to join in, for me the weekend would be a good shout. On another note in my area where i live, it's BMW in 1st MERC in 2nd and Audi in 3rd place for idiot drivers. I see this every morning and afternoon as i do the school run for a company on a professional basis, so i know where you are coming from. If the police were that interested in prosecuting then they would reach out to these dashcam channels asking for more info but they don't. Filling out the form and uploading a 3 minute clip of every bad car driver you see would also take 3 days a week and you'd need a secretary to deal with everything, if the police had a more visible presence on our roads they wouldn't need the public to do their job. As far as YT earnings go I think the vast majority of your subscribers don't care what you earn and, as you've said before, your channel earnings allow you to buy better equipment to make better videos. IMO though I don't care what anyone earns, it's their business and no-one else's and, as someone who had a channel with 20-25k subscribers, I can confirm you ain't taking a month off every year to visit Antigua or Bermuda, in fact my earnings didn't cover car MOT/insurance for a year in my case (I wasn't a dashcam channel). Spending my time working in my local Aldi would have given me 10x better earnings per hour as most videos were earning me about £1/hr although I was just proving to my kids, between 6-10yrs at the time, that being a big YT star was not as good as having a real life job unless you were the one in a million channels that made it really big.
The police would note of being on the phone or anything but they will not care. They have to see to give people tickets and stuff they can’t just knock on somebody’s door and say give me all your dash cam footage. They have to see it with their own bloody eyes
The merc at 12:40, nothing even remotely happened.. yet another useless clip to shame people for pretty much nothing. They would need to be blind to not see you. Did they get close? Was there almost an accident? No? Well then why put their face on the internet to shame them? Once again you are going too far.
The point of the clip was to highlight inconsiderate driving. It would have taken less than a second for the Merc driver to lift a hand in thanks but they didn't despite LDC waiting for them and this typifies modern driving and other people's attitudes. That's why the clip was included!!

You get a lot more money for normal videos but live streaming money wise isn't worth doing unless you got a very big audience.

The chap on the Mad Mile.... You say it's a mile, and according to your time stamp he did it in 75 seconds. That equates to 48mph average. So how can you say he didn't do more than 35-40mph. Either it's significantly LESS than a mile, or your estimate of his speed is off base...
Regardless of the speed the prat in the right lane's speed, he was not going the speed limit and should NOT be in the right lane. Isn't the right lane for passing in the UK?? That's what I've learned from watching videos on YT. He never passed a single vehicle.

Well it's known as the mad mile but I've not checked it, whether it's a mile or not it's still using the outside lane and not overtaking anything.
The mad mile is not a mile, but it's close enough for bikers to use it for a burn up, it got its name from the ton up bikers of the 50's

@@Andrewwhite-zt2zj That was probably the case. Some foreign coaches have the height plate on the dash in metres. If it was not the drivers normal vehicle, he may have had to work it out.

@3:40 The stupidity of other drivers stuns you and you then make mistakes, it's obviously catching....
(At 11:19 - 11:40) - Learner driver turning right - the centre (half-) lane is marked first with an arrow showing it is for traffic coming the other way, turning into GRANGE VALE - on the left. Then, WITHOUT ANY WARNING, it becomes a (half-) lane to assist traffic turning right. I rate the road markings as "ambiguous" at best - certainæy confusing - possibly unlawful. Are there not rules for just how to put white lines on the road ? If they are being followed here, then they are certainly inadequate. I know it is very expensive to conrete/asphalt/kerbstone your way to a better road junction - much cheaper to paint your way out of a difficulty - but this is ridiculous.
Another great video Tony. Definitely interested in your 'live drives' enjoyed your previous ones. I certainly don't need to know how much you make from your videos, that's private. But would be interested in how your viewing figures are made up, age, gender, location etc 👍
I have only recently found your channel and i am so glad i did, it's very entertaining and i find myself also swearing at the other drivers in your videos. Never seen your live clips before it would be interested to join in, for me the weekend would be a good shout.
On another note in my area where i live, it's BMW in 1st MERC in 2nd and Audi in 3rd place for idiot drivers. I see this every morning and afternoon as i do the school run for a company on a professional basis, so i know where you are coming from. I have a saying for MERC's 'they think they own the road' and BMW's 'like to think they own the road'. Complete morons. That's my little rant over.
