She seems to be the only person brave enough to say it like it is.

Yes but why does she sound like a upper class British person? Same with the Ghanaian president. Its very odd. Aren't they supposed to be born and bred Africans?

I agree about her being the president of SA. She is far more qualified than Ramaphosa whose demeanor, imho, is weak and totally lacks gravitas!

No she shouldnot be president. Her constant need for inclusion and not thinking of HOW to benefit her people who are at the BOTTOM in their country isnot a leader with foresight to benefit generation yet unborn.

The goal shouldnot be to head of the U.N. an organization that's controlled by the west, she would just become another puppet who is passive similiar to kaffir N from Ghana who allowed the genocide in Rwanda.

Ms. Pandor is an incredible thinker and an example worth following for any Young South African to pay attention to. Imagine we had twenty like her, a priestesshood, if you'll allow it, or to use less positively-sanctioned wording, a coven of female leaders, of priestesses devoted to the service of the embodiments of Justice, Truth and Democracy. Just imagine that! What man or woman, particularly taken from today's pool of presiding male or female persons possessed of wealth and power in the world as it is, who of these megalomaniacal, greedy, warmongering mouthpieces for those who would bend them forward and force the wicked and ill-intended words from their lips could stand up to a sisterhood of equals practising as Ms. Pandor speaks? I'll bet there are none who could. What she says, her train of thought is balanced by reason and is built upon a strong foundation of timeless wisdom. She's on the right side of history in every area in which I have been following her and her rhetoric. She is to me a heroine is every sense and like so many others I see here in the comments (and oh, how you all make me smile with love - indeed, my fellow South Africans as well as those of you commenting from abroad - I love the sh1t out of all of you), I am not alone in my wish that Naledi Pandor move forward into her future unimpeded inasmuch as doing so is possible for one who does as she does, and that each and every passing day opens her up to greater and greater levels of liberty to take joy in the exercising of her many strengths, so many of which seem to be of benefit to humanity as a whole. Indeed, more power to her. And these days, there are not so many that I readily wish greater power to, so afraid I've become of power's apparent innate capacity to corrupt. But when it comes to Ms. Pandor, she seems above all that to me. I'm a nobody. Don't allow me to curb your opinion with flowery words. Check it all out for yourself. But it is my greatest hope at this moment that I am shown my history as yet unwritten to have been on the right side of it.
May the gods bless you, Naledi Pandor, and may the wind be always at your back, driving you forward towards those places that need you most. And may it always be a joy to you to be in those places and exercise your every privilege to serve Humanity's tomorrow.

Hopefully the younger generation will be MORE strategic and talk LESS to accomplish true economic freedom for the majority because political rights ARENOT enough to benefit a nation.

@@mavisburke495 It gives me pleasure to listen to young South Africans having mature discussions. I know for sure that I didn't have a Naledi Pandor to look up to when I was a teenager. I really wish I'd had one. I had countercultural magazines published overseas that featured the likes of Noam Chomsky, Kurt Vonnegut and William Burrows. Intellectually, I felt I'd been born into a desert and felt awfully deprived overall of a South African thinker with any guts and with whom I felt any sense of intellectual affinity - whose critical thinking inspired any lofty visions of the future for me. I feel like Ms. Pandor can d that for kids today and that's really special. Do you not? I'm certainly about as far from being omniscient as one can get and am certainly no genius. Your comment gave me a sense that you might not be a big fan of Ms Pandor or, perhaps, the influence she might have over South African youth. Perhaps I misread that, or simply read into it. I'd be interested to know one way or another.

Africa would be proud of South Africa for speaking with the suffering population of Sudan who are facing real genocide and taking the perpetrators to ICJ. But for Gaza, S.Africa appears to be crying louder than the bereaved because even Arab Islamic countries would not defend Hamas.
