just picked up this shoe because of your review Jake! thanks so much for this-your reviews are sooooo helpful and awesome! literally no one reviews shoes like you do and i've been binging your videos just because i love your review style!
Thank you so much for another great video!! Your efforts do not go unnoticed. The quality of your videos show how hard you work. Thank you and stay awesome!!! Love you and the videos. I literally won’t buy a shoe until I watch one of your reviews about it 😂
Was looking at these or Oncloud cloud 5...I do some running (couple miles a week) with mostly training. Is there a winner between these two? I would like to wear them everyday all day as well. Idk if that helps. Great review!
Hi! Thanks for the thorough review! I think this is the color for me, the last thing I’m curious about is how well they clean? Furthermore, how do they dirty easily? I love this exact color.
Thank you! They clean decently well if you spot clean them. Dirty wise, they get dirty quick in dusty settings but otherwise they’re not too bad at picking up stuff
Does the ripstop material have a water repellent property to it or does it just absorb water? I'm trying to find a good everyday walking shoe for around town that I can wear during the rainy spring and fall seasons. I don't necessarily need a gore-tex sneaker, since they tend to be too hot for warm spring and fall, but I'm tired of my feet being soaked in mesh sneakers, when we get very rainy weather. One wrong step in the parking lot and you come home with wet shoes and socks. Some people recommend leather sneakers for this purpose, but water will destroy leather. While it lessens the chances of wet feet, they still absorb water and they are slow to dry. I'd almost rather wear a mesh sneaker and brave the wet feet.
Ehhhh. I tread lightly saying repellent, but it will be better than your standard mesh/knit shoes. I think if you're rocking em on lighter rainy days and go with a colorway that doesn't show water a ton you should be set!
great video. I stand in the same spot for about 8 hours a day so I want a cushioned shoe but don’t like the looks of most cushioned shoes out there. Do you think this show has enough cushion for standing around 8 hours a day?
These would work, but honestly, a zero drop shoe with a bit more cushion may feel even more comfortable. Have you considered Altras at all? The Solstice XT 2 or Escalante would be another two great options to consider!
Eh, 225 ish and that's only because of how much toe spring these have. Tough to ground the feet. Also, look into the Inov8 F Fly if you're considering that hybrid-style trainer/runner!
@@thatfitfriend Ditto on the Cloud X being a.great everyday shoe. I can not compare to the No Bull Rip Stop, since I have not tried them, but I loved my Cloud X so much for light training and daily wear that I bought a second pair in the same color as a backup when they give out. I'm still on my first pair 3 years later, although they are pretty close to trashed at this point. I love the firm yet supportive cushion on them.
@@thatfitfriend how do you find the toe box? Comparable to nobull trainers? For some reason my new NB 880 v14 make my toes go numb and cause blisters on both my little toes…..but I find my no bull trainers perfect and almost like a sock
every time he says "nobull ripstop runner" take a shot. jk. But really my wife got some nobull shoes with the flower pattern, and plans to get a second pair in black. She is going to get me a pair whether I want it or not, so I am watching your review to find out which ones to get. I am hard to get shoes for. I am 46, 6 foot 6 and 260 pounds with worsening knees. I need something with heel cushioning. However I clear most doorways by 1/4 of an inch, so I can't just add padding. I usually need less padding at the toe, because I usually knock my head on doorways when I am launching into my next step, so a lowered toe is appreciated. At 6 foot 6 and 260 pounds, I I broke both legs last year when wearing the wrong shoes and taking a 3 foot step down into a hole that I thought was going to be 18 inches deep. The doc said that I had a high energy break that he usually only saw after a car accident. That healed up with no lingering issues, but now I make sure to get shoes with proper padding for the heel strike. I bought a pair of the "nobull ripstop runner" on the fit and finish information in this review.
Ha - hope you have some good booze for us! Stick around the channel long enough and you'll realize in every video I fixate on a few words and say them WAYYYY too often. Bad habit of mine, tbh. @@thatfitfriend if you have wide feet, do your body a favor and stick with shoes that are made for wide feet. Don't cram your feet in them, just because you like the look. I'm pretty sure No Bull makes some models in wide sizes now.

@@tarx1178 honestly, no idea! Mine is a lighter grey, but they're older so maybe they've faded a bit? I'm not sure, though. I wonder if NOBULL sent you the wrong color. Mind shooting me a DM on IG of them? I'm curious!
there is no such thing as a runner that can be used for lifting. shoes can be good at 1 thing, or be meh at bunch of things. side note, no bull "wild" are back in stock.
Agreed, I have a video on that topic. I'm with you there when it comes to heavier work in the gym and as you get more specific, runners are poor choices. Specific training requires specific gear. But if you're blending some light BW work/accessories into something like a track workout, there is a range of runners that will work better than others. Plus, if someone doesn't have the means to buy multiple shoes or have a high threshold that needs to be met with their work, then it can also warrant a wider range of options. Switching shoes is not realistic or needed for those contexts, IMO. Good looks!
Yeah, they're very "meh" for performance especially for their price and compared to better running shoes. I believe NOBULL is rolling out a newer running shoe soon that has multiple upgrades, but we'll see. What do you normally wear to run in?

Debating this nobull vs the oncloud x for a light gym work and running wod type of shoe. Thoughts on which you think is a little better overall?
Both work well! I like the Cloud X a tad better because I’ll also rock them for travel/daily wear more than the NOBULL!

How does it compare to mesh runner? Is it squishy cushioning like most running shoes? Or closer to trainer level?
Blend of trainer and squish. This midsole def runs a little more densely - upper is more comfy, too, imo.

When we’re talking run distance, what are you classifying as mid distance?
Great Q, Short for me is 0-3 miles, mid 4-6, long 6+!

Yes
Do you think this shoe can handle 16/26 mile runs?
Should be okay, but may run a little stiff for that volume if you like a plusher ride
Which model is more stretchy to accommodate for wide feet?
Mesh would be more stretchy but neither are “great” for wide feet, per se!
