- In the spring 2019, my good friend Adele invited me to join her, her dog Whiskey and their new friend Kaitlyn, on a trip around the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia.
This four day backpacking adventure took us on a section of the Sunshine Coast Trail, allowing us to discover the many huts and cabins along the way.
We stopped at Tin Hat Mountain Cabin (aka Tin Hat Hut), then Ell Lake Hut and finally Walt Hill Hut.

Hello Friends, if you don't know who I am, here's a little more about me.
My name is Brice.
I was born in Rennes, France.
After graduating from film school in 2003, I moved to Paris, starting a career in the film industry.
One of my first assignment was assistant editor on an animal documentary. Presented by Warner Independent Pictures and National Geographic Feature Films, "March of the Penguins" became a box office hit and Oscar winning documentary touching the hearts of audiences around the globe.
My time spent in Paris was shared between his film editing and my love of photography.
In 2009 I decided to follow my long sought after dream and moved to Canada.
My passion for photography soon became an obvious career and, whether it is for portraits at my Vancouver studio, or for larger commercial jobs on location, all around the world, I am now happy and proud to devote all of my time and energy doing what I love most. Photographing/filming athletes for running brands and magazines, and capturing my adventures for outdoors brands.
When I am not photographing big commercial projects, I also work on personal projects like "Studio to Trails". Which has been widely popular in North America amongst the trail running community.
My client list includes: Salomon, TED, New Balance, Asics, AirBnb, Canadian Running Magazine, British Columbia Magazine, Trail Runner Magazine.
Great video Brice, thanks for sharing. Just curious, you mentioned you did this in the spring but wondering exactly when in April/May as am doing the trail this year and wondering if we should also expect snow at higher elevations? Thanks
This was shot between April 14th and 18th 2019. Thank you for watching!
@@briceferrestudio Thanks Brice
Can’t wait to do this trail! Definitely requires a bit of extra planning with shuttles and stuff but it’ll be worth it!
100% worth it. We had such a blast doing this.
Love this - thanks Brice.
My pleasure! It was so much fun to put together! I love the Sunshine Coast! We are so lucky to live so close to it.
Loving this! Thanks man!
Anytime! So much fun putting this together! :)
great video and i like the itinerary .thanks for the share .what are the gravel roads to Dixon road like :)
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you liked the video.
The roads were perfectly manageable with a 4x4. And I'm sure a regular car would have made it as well. It was in April 2019.

Great video! You mentioned that you got to the beginning of the trail via shuttle, but I can’t find anything online. Could you give me some infos about it?

@@robdee1632 Thank you this was shot in April.
Very well done Brice. I just came across your video while searching for more info on this trail. Thank you so much! (Subbed and followed on IG.)
Thank you so much Gary. It means a lot! I'm glad I could help a little in your research! Have fun out there!
Hi just thinking about doing this hike but only have 3.5 days. Could you share how long it took you to hike from each location each day?
Hello,
We took one day between each hut. These were pretty comfortable 6-8 hour days at a pretty mellow pace. I hope this helps!
Terrific video! Great images and mood. What were the exact dates of your trip? How early in the spring?
Thank you for the kind words! I shot this between April 14th and 18th 2019.
