On Sunday 17th September 2023 we were treated to a stellar performance by one of the UK's finest contemporary songwriters, Chris Wood in the Goldmark Front Room. It was an enchanting and intimate experience that left the audience spellbound. Playing to an intimate audience of 65 only, his ability to tell poignant stories through his lyrics was captivating, and each song felt like a personal journey shared with the listeners. This song that we share with you here is called Hollow Point, a modern folk ballad about the Jean Charles de Menezes shooting in London.

It's a fantastic piece of writing, always delivered well. CW would surely take me to task over this, but personally I prefer the sound of his acoustic guitar, which I heard many times.
