    Bancroft, who was born in Cambridge in 1976, is recognised as one of the outstanding young painters of his generation. He has exhibited at the Liverpool Biennial, The Barbican, Goldmark and internationally and over the last two decades has become a feted filmmaker shown in various venues including the Pompidou Centre, Paris.
    Goldmark Films is the four-times Royal Television Society Award nominated independent film making arm of the world-renowned Goldmark Gallery. It has been producing broadcast arts documentaries for over 20 years and has made 24 feature length documentaries and 100 plus shorts. Goldmark's global reputation allows it to gain intimate and revealing interviews with some of the world's leading artists, ceramicists, writers and critics.     Are paintings such as 'Witnesses ' and 'Lions feet' studies for your larger works and if so do you leave them once you have formed the bigger picture in your mind or do you feel them complete in themselves . I really enjoyed listening to you speak about your work.
