Yes this is the best stuff around for crabgrass and it’s safe to use when overseeding so there’s less waiting around for months like when you apply weed and feed
I've used Tenacity during renovations, as a pre-emergent so you can prevent some of the weed seeds in the area from coming up with the new grass. I don't know if any other product can work with grass seed germination like that. It definitely helps keep new weeds down, and it works even better if you re-apply it in a couple weeks. Stuff sure is expensive though. I'm not sure if it is worth the money as a post-emergent.
I have used tenacity and meso . I used dish soap as a surfactant and had poor results , excellent Pre but poor post . I switched to a Alkyl aryl polyoxyethylene glycol and other ethoxylated derivative surfactant and it was like night and day results The guy from Perdue told me it was due to ionic and non ionic charges that mess with the herbicide itself as dawn is both ionic and non ionic .
Great information. I did use a sprayers surfactant this year, I’m trying to do the little thing’s better, but I didn’t notice a big difference. I guess bubble mix has the proper ions 🤣. Anyway, video from this year. Spring Lawn Spraying - Best Start of the Season ruclips.net/video/tRS0YcNzmlg/видео.html
Yes it is, along with almost all lawn care chemicals unless you have a Pesticide licence. It is legal to own, just not sell in retail stores. If you’re heading down to the US, stock up as I have done. Weed control Insect control Plant growth Regulator And pre-emergent Here is what I just picked up this week during our spring break vacation. Tenacity (crab grass/pre-emergent) PAR3 -weed control (2/4D with dicamba) Primo max (PGR) Bifenthrin -insecticide #Best lawn in town
Most big box stores sell your basic weed control and insect controls. If you want tenacity (mesotrione) and some of the concentrated commercial grade stuff, you’ll have to visit a landscape supply store. Not sure what state you’re visiting -but I’m sure you can find a couple retailers. Look them up, call them, and ask what they sell. That’s what I did when I visited Myrtle beach SC last week.

Absolutely, thanks for sharing your experience 👍

Why cant just increase the potency, and see if there is more damage to the Crab Grass
I have done that this year but there is a very fine line and it starts affecting the bluegrass.
How long after using tenacity can you plant new seed?
To be safe I would wait until you get some rain or water it in but it won’t prevent grass seed from germinating.
hi what's your opinion on atrazine? just as good as tenacity?
Great question. Atrazine can only be used on warm season grasses which it works very well on. Tenacity can be used on cool season lawns like mine.
@@TheLawnEngineer great 👍 thanks so much.

Better get syringe convert 1tsp to ml
Good idea, I’ve resisted because they seem like a pain to clean up but it’s probably worth it.
@@TheLawnEngineer I drill out the syringe slightly larger. Hot water cleans up easily.
Don't tell him what to do
