- Ride along in my Koploper! Because the train in Utrecht departs in the direction where it came from, another driver is usually scheduled for it. Today I do the entire ride myself, and can show you this rare ride completely. At Amersfoort we wait a little longer for the delayed train from Enschede, so that we don't leave the passengers out in the cold. As a result, we depart with a delay of 3 minutes, which means continuously full throttle to Utrecht. Enjoy watching!

Rijd mee in mijn Koploper! Omdat de trein in Utrecht in de richting vertrekt waar we vanuit Amersfoort vandaan komen, wordt er meestal een andere machinist op gepland. Vandaag doe ik de hele rit zelf, en kan jullie zo deze zeldzame rit compleet tonen. Op Amersfoort wachten we nog even op de vertraagde trein uit Enschede, zodat we de overstappers niet in de kou laten staan. Daardoor vertrekken we met een vertraging van 3 minuten dus dat betekent continu vol gas tot aan Utrecht. Veel kijkplezier!

Dankjewel voor de mooie treinreis. Ik zag mooie hoogwerkers op station Amersfoort. Voot mij ook erg fijn dat het middelste hoge sein van de trein mooi tussen de rails is. Een erg mooie treinreis om helaas weer een onrustige nacht weer tot rust te brengen.

These ICMs are getting a bit long-in-the-tooth now. 45 years old this year. They must be on the list for withdrawl, although they seem to survive in service.
I used to ride from Schothorst to Utrecht for almoost 5 years every day but i had never seen it from POV =) Thx

Dit is toch de intercity van Groningen/ Leeuwarden naar den haag .
Vroeger reisde ik veel met de trein.

Fijn dat je Amf NCS nog even vermeldde en compliment van mijn zoon Jesse (11!). Hij vindt jouw filmpjes heel goed voor de topografische kennis van NL en de spoorkaart. Of je ajb meer filmpjes wilt maken en aangeven waar lijnen zich aftakken!

Excellent video as usual... it's a strange view from so high up... slightly claustrophobic for me with the overhead wires so close. Anyone know the reason for that design... it's not particularly attractive... imho!
EDIT: Just found the explanation... still weird... didn't the cabin floor reduce the headroom of the connecting gangway?

Finding your channel is going to prove to be expensive. I am going to start building my new Netherlands layout. I will need extra trains to go with my V-IRM and my ICM, I want to run longer trains as per SOP. I have 2 SGMm and 2 Plan V trains on order, and I will be buying a good few of the NS 1600 1700 1800 locomotives and carriages for them to pull. Expensive, but good fun, and if I can get it up and running the first exhibition will be before Christmas this year.
I would love to see a video of that :-)

Opnames vanuit de ICM cabine zijn gewoon de beste, en dat gaat nooit veranderen.
Ja? Vind je het niet vervelend dat dit wel gepaard gaat met wat trillingen van de camera? Ik krijg dat op dit moment niet goed. Ik heb daardoor de laatste twee opnamen vanuit de icm weggegooid. Hoe denkt de rest daarover?
@@CabviewHolland -- Ik heb wel eens wat trillingen gezien, maar dat komt ook voor bij andere treinen. Wat mij betreft biedt de ICM verreweg het mooiste uitzicht.

What exactly is the purpose of these road ramps onto the tracks at 1:33? You can see that in many of your videos. Haven't seen anything like this here in Germany before.
That is where road/rail work vehicles can enter the track.

Die lampen knipperen als er een trein aankomt, om baanwerkers te waarschuwen.

I have the same, I always look at the switches and see they are set the right way ^^
At situations like this I look at the switches, even though this is the usual path.

You wouldn't ever be able to stop on time would you, when it's this close, might a you see a switch would be wrong.
The only moment that something can go wrong is when a red signal is passed.

Der Lokführer könnte, wenn er einen Besen mitnimmt, gleich die Bahnsteigbeleuchtung putzen. So anstrengend ist das sicher nicht🤣🤣🤣

Yes, although technically it cannot go wrong.
Het is een mooie rit, daar kan iedereen zich waarschijnlijk wel in vinden. Ik heb ook geen enkel probleem met eventuele 'trillingen' welke ik benoemd zag in de comments, het is een mooi uitzicht zo hoog op het spoor.
Wat me wel een beetje... irriteert is, waarom zet de NS op zo'n traject een trein in met 3 bakken? Het moet toch in te schatten zijn dat zoiets niet afdoende is. Ik verwacht niet dat er mensen op het perron zijn achtergebleven maar waarom zou dit een ''drukke rit'' moeten zijn. Zijn er nog steeds materieeltekorten welke de NS parten spelen of is dit slechte planning/gebruik van het beschikbare materieel. Hier kunt u natuurlijk niks aan doen, maar als reiziger voelt het zo moedeloos als er klein boemeltje aan komt zetten voor een druk perron erg herkenbaar gevoel.
Ik kan je verzekeren dat dat voor ons ook zo voelt :-(
