When I was a kid back in the 1970s and early 80s there were a whole lot of head stones out there. It is shame that it is so empty now due to ignorant people. Still one of my favorite places to visit from time to time. Actually planning a bicycle ride out there in the next couple weeks. Thanks for sharing. Brings back a lot of good memories. Back in the day when two trackin and six packin was a common thing to do, Pere Cheney was a regular stopping point.
From what I've heard and seen the locals can take the blame for how this place is. People from far away aren't using this place for parties. The locals want to keep this place for themselves even though it's county land. While I was making my video for redeemed 365 a side by side showed up. Didn't shut it off and walk around, just sat there while I was "hiding" behind a stone. I worry more about people than ghosts there. Good luck when you go there!
