Pere Cheney Alone...Or Was I?
Просмотров 98Месяц назад
There's a short list of haunted places in Michigan. Pere Cheney makes all the lists. After a witch was banished from the town and forced to live in the woods 2 rounds of disease wiped the town out. What was once a town on its way up laid empty, only leaving a haunted cemetery behind. There's a lot of stories about this place. I know for me 2 days after filming this video I became sick. Although...

This video we've been waiting to make for awhile. After last year when we lived by Higgins Lake and we kayaked all the time, this summer we have not. We got to end the summer though in our favorite place doing what we love! This video was made as a reminder for us, family snapshot. I know you won't learn much but just maybe someone will take something from it. If you have young kids make the mo...
So Nice I Had To Go Back! Marl Lake Round 2.

This really is my favorite place. I've showed you what it's like to hike in Bay City. So instead of making more videos there I figured I'd make another one at Marl Lake. The trails are great, the water is clear, the wildlife is all around. I highly recommend you check out Marl lake if you're in the area. Don't spend all your time sitting around the campfire at the State Park. Sorry for a repeat...
Hiking A Decommissioned Park, Don't Tell Anyone!

Do you have a private spot on this planet where you can go to escape reality? Today I am showing you my secret place. It's between Midland and Mt Pleasant MI. Down a long beat up dirt road behind a locked metal gate lies a little piece of paradise. A closed park where nothing was built, just one overgrown trail that leads to a quiet wooded area where nature surround's you. If you've been there ...
Bay City Michigan Is Soo Awesome!!! (Sarcasm)

Happy thoughts...I tried to make a video at the only hiking spot in the city I was born in, and well it didn't work out. I've been all over my state of Michigan and my least favorite zip code is where my life started. We are surrounded by water, but it's gross. We have trees, but the bug's are to bad to use them. If you love being inside a building maybe Bay City is for you. I've been trying to...

"Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." Proverbs 22:6 NLT. As parents its really easy to put a screen in front of your kid so you can have time to yourself. But parents are supposed to be an example for their kids. If your house spends time together by each person on a different device you might as well be on different planets. This video is ...
Was I Hiking With Jesus? Watch & Listen @ 17:50.

This was just gonna be a normal hike in the woods type of video. Just rambling words of a lonely man trying to make a you tube video. Then while I was editing this video I heard a voice that was not mine. At the 17:50 minute mark you can hear a soft whisper. My mouth is not talking, I was alone, I show you the empty parking lot. To me I hear either "Jesus" or "Cheez-Its." What do you think? Ple...
Fathers Day Paddle And Talk, Kawkawlin River.
Просмотров 184 месяца назад
Spending Father's Day without my daughter or my dad was tough. I spent the day floating and rambling. No script, no plan, no agenda, just winging it like usual. If you're having a bad day go for a paddle or a hike. Sitting around being sad won't make it better. Even though I'm not where I want to be I'm trying to make the best of my current situation. I actually made some merch for this channel...
Roethke Park Hike, Train Hunting.

In this video we check out Roethke Park in Saginaw Michigan. It was on the way home from work and I've never been here so we explore it together. It's a nice park not far from downtown Saginaw. It has a good size fishing pond, inground pool, playground, pavilions, multiple hiking trails, and trains, I think. There's a small scale train track that goes throughout the park and ends in a building,...

It's finally getting warm here in Michigan and I wanted to go kayaking. Unfortunately where I live we don't have great water but I tried to make the best out of it. Come with me as we go on an adventure to find a spot to relax. I actually made some merch for this channel, mainly so I have shirts for when I'm making videos. I'm leaving the link here. Your first video on a new channel is supposed to be epic, this one isn't. But it's real life, true to myself. Unscripted, unplanned, and didn't go right, perfect! With this channel its my first attempt at being in front of the camera and it's way harder than I thought it'd be, but its a start. Start of what, I don't know yet. Future videos should be more action packed, this one just happened. T...

When I was a kid back in the 1970s and early 80s there were a whole lot of head stones out there. It is shame that it is so empty now due to ignorant people. Still one of my favorite places to visit from time to time. Actually planning a bicycle ride out there in the next couple weeks. Thanks for sharing. Brings back a lot of good memories. Back in the day when two trackin and six packin was a common thing to do, Pere Cheney was a regular stopping point.

From what I've heard and seen the locals can take the blame for how this place is. People from far away aren't using this place for parties. The locals want to keep this place for themselves even though it's county land. While I was making my video for redeemed 365 a side by side showed up. Didn't shut it off and walk around, just sat there while I was "hiding" behind a stone. I worry more about people than ghosts there. Good luck when you go there!

Awesome. Glad you got out with your daughter. I have been stuck doing a whole lot of nothing due to a nasty respiratory infection. Hoping that clears up in next few days so I can get back out there. I am planning to do another full trip of the Cut next week, and then again on Sunday the 16th when I do my 24 Hour Food Pantry Fishathon 5.5 fundraiser. Great video. Keep up the good work and keep on sharing.

Greetings Greg, I live in clay twp. on a dead end rd. between St. John's Marsh & Saint Clair River. Awesome spot for kayaking, hiking and other activities where I can be alone with the Lord. Began kayaking this spring and ran across this video 1 dreary day searching for a virtual hike, yak, or camp video. I'm almost 65 and totally can relate to where you're coming from and going too. Stay humble. Remain calm. Don't give up! HIS success is sure.

Thanks for your words. That's why I love the outdoors. It's about leaving the people and the world behind and talking with the one who made it all. Good to hear people actually like what I'm putting out. If you're interested I have a faith based channel called @redeemed365 . I'm still taking videos outdoors but blending in the Bible with my life story. No one's watching them yet but it's me trying to spread the good news. Good luck with kayaking. It really is the best way to be in nature and escape.

Awesome hiking/biking trail. I ride or hike the 5.5 mile loop fairly often. It will soon be my favorite time of year to hike around Marl lake as Autumn brings a bounty of amazing mushrooms to be found all around the lake. Not so much edible mushrooms, just mushrooms in general. Lots and lots of shapes, sizes, and colors. Also, another great place you might consider hiking if you have not already done so is the Mason Tract along the south branch of the AuSable river just outside of Roscommon. Thanks again for sharing some great content.

Yes this area has a lot of mushrooms. I don't hunt them or eat them but last fall I was there and they are all over. Thanks for the info, I have not hiked there. In Roscommon I've only been to Marl and the Marguerite gahagan preserve. Always looking for new places!

I have been paddling the Cut river since I was a young kid in the 1970s. Still paddling it these days. Although I did it in a canoe until 37 years ago when I began kayaking it. Just paddled Lansing road to Houghton Lake two weeks ago. I paddle the lower 3 miles or so several time a year and always manage to paddle the entire river at least once a year. Definitely one of the most peaceful places I have ever been. Not many places I would rather be. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't done the whole thing yet. Once I went from marl and went to Lansing rd bridge. I was by myself and rode my peddle bike from the bridge then put the bike on my kayak then started my paddle. One day I'll do the whole thing but need 2 vehicles. It is my favorite place to be too. Glad you liked the video!

That lake has some really good bass in there i've caught. All you need is to catch a small bluegill and rehook it so it doesn't come off then just throw em back out. Best spot for me is where you were at 7:10
