I am curently a zoologist studying for vet school but, when I worked overnight as staff at a restaurant - cafe -bar, i agree that having a lot of work makes things roll faster and better. Also, dont "down" your coffee. Keep it next to you if possible and take sips throughout the night, so the effects dont ware off. And you can drink chocolate instead of coffee. It has more sugar to wak you up. Other than that, i hate sleeping.so i guess that did no bother me.
Great video! apricate your positivity in those shifts. I am currently junior college pre-vet student. I am struggling on if I should go work at a big 24hr emergency hospital or a smaller clinic where I would have more contact with the vets. Please give me advice! Thank you :)
Work on taking power naps. My dad is an ER doc and he takes power naps whenever he gets a break at work. Anything longer than 30 mins will make you wake up groggy. Also, get a white noise app on your phone or a plug in one! It’ll help a bunch!! P.s. I love your channel! Thanks so much for all of the helpful tips.
Love this video! Thank you so much for sharing. May I ask if you live with roommates, that are also in vet school? If so are they in the same year as you? Just wondering what living arrangements are typically like. Thank you again!
I'm soooo nervous about making friends cuz I'm not living at uni as it's near me. I'm worried people living in halls will already have their friendship group sorted and I won't fit in
I worried about making friends too! What made me less nervous was realizing that everyone is going to be in the same boat as you and they're probably nervous just like you! I met some of my best friends in my first week of school so don't be afraid to put yourself out there and meet new people!
I admire your positivity about night shifts! All of your videos have been super informational and very well done. Thank you!!
Aw thank you! I definitely try to look at the bright side, it makes it a lot more enjoyable that way. Thanks for watching!

Amber L. Thanks so much for watching!!! I’ve gotten pretty good at the power naps by the end of the summer but the white noise tip is great! Thanks 😊
OVC is my dream school! I’m currently in a vet tech program and decided I want to be a DVM.

Thanks so much for watching and welcome to the online vet fam!!
Look at you! Do you also sleep during the day on weekends?
My first weekend I did but if felt like I had no life so now I’ve been switching back to normal hours on my weekend!
Do you think I should shadow/intern at a vet clinic at the age of 13? I am an aspiring vet and I want to try and get experience :)
If you have the opportunity to do that, I'd say go for it! It definitely won't hurt and you could make some really great connections through it! 😊
@@yourvetamanda I was given the opportunity to shadow a vet next week!!!! I am so excited :)
One cup of coffee, maybe like jacobs or any other coffee, best of luck
I wanna become a vet too! i am in 10th grade
