Staffan: Has the most normal experience one could expect Thomas: Was expecting a normal night but spend the night partying Ammar: Inadvertently gets caught up in interpersonal drama but somehow still succeeds
I am Lebanese and I can’t express how happy I am that you have made this challenge and showed the truth regardless of what the data shows. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The sentiment of Staffan saying "People with the least give the most" is so true because those with very little, know the impact that a small contribution can make. Those that are more well off will often take it for granted. P.S. So happy to see Cockney Reg make a guest appearance 😆
WOOHOO! I'm so pumped that you guys made it to LEBANON, one of my fav places on earth. I'm thrilled to see old style yes theory videos again, it's no surprise that these are SMASHING!
As a lebanese living abroad, i cant but confess that i watched the whole video with tear in my eyes. Thank you for highlighting how beautiful our country is and how strong my people are. Thank you for this
Honestly mad respect for the group of boys not having Thomas stay at their house because they have a little sister. That’s a really sweet thought and they were being protective. Love it! ❤
Bahaha! Thomas is such a tightly wound ball of anxiety, had to meet the most chaotic person. Staffan was a wholesome cherub whose first thought was to give flowers away, ends up having the cutest bromance sleepover. Then Ammar in true Yes Theory fashion actively connected with the culture and ended up with the most ragtag group at the end.
How are the Lebanese so amazing? Both the guys and girls all look so healthy, and their generosity and comradery is unmatched. Would love to live there someday!
Remember that this is who chose to speak to the camera. A lot of people don't want to be on camera. You're not seeing the really bad people. I really appreciate and love Yes Theory but we definitely only see one side of people in their videos.
@@CRneu somebody is buying into Israeli propaganda. Shitty people exist everywhere. I think there's a misconception that Lebanon is some kind of Islamist country, but it isn't. Those people exist there, especially in the south, but it's not indicative of the culture and country ass a whole, let alone representative of the majority even. Beirut has always been a pretty western-like city for decades.
The guy randomly saying ’we’re wanted by the police’ and his brother quickly turning him round had me on the floor😂😂😂😂 your videos just make my day walahi
Being Lebanese this is the most authentic and truly representative video of lebanon and the lebanese people on youtube, you guys are amazing I'm so bummed I wasn't in Lebanon to see you!!
@@Itsvivx99politicians sure but also crises times, the chemical explosion, covid, revolution.. every country in the arab spring had a bit of a big economic crisis after their revolution bec even being called unstable alone is a great hit to tourism and investors, after that chemical explosion and covid came to deal more damage, with more and more people being affected that in turn causes more protests and so its a cycle, and with ineffective politicians its almost impossible to escape
I met a Scottish lady working for an NGO in Beirut in January. Imagine her shock when an Armenian/Lebanese guy who lives in Norway told her he’s just been to Aberdeen and had Haggis for Christmas. Much love back to Scotland from us!
Anyone else just put Lebanon on their ‘must visit’ list? This video was so full of genuine good vibes and love. I hope you fully appreciate what you accomplish with these videos and, particularly, for such nations that get only bad press in western media. You all are wonderful humans.
I’m Lebanese living in France, I left Lebanon a few days following the explosion and haven’t been back since, this video hit really hard, reminded me of what I loved about my home country and why it was so difficult for me to leave it, thank you guys for bringing a piece of Lebanon to the world ❤️
Shit, so you left to France from Lebanon to escape anger and violence, just for riots to start in France. I feel bad for you. I hope these riots stop soon ❤.
Cockney Reg cameo killed me !!! I am Italian, raised in Netherlands, now living in India. I lived in Lebanon in 2010 and 2011. Those 13-14 months were some of the happiest, carefree, most outgoing moments of my life. I am so happy and pleased to see in this video that, despite the country being in a much worse condition than 12-13 years ago, the people haven't changed A BIT !!! To people who have zero Middle-East experience, but have been to Italy, I usually say that Lebanon is pretty much like Italy (sun, sea, mountains, lots of warm and loud conversations & gestures, respect for family and so much more) with the difference that people speak Arabic (and French and English often !!!). Oh, and Lebanese told me an important lesson, that their version of pizza (man2ouseh) can be eaten in the morning ... which I thoroughly enjoyed after overcoming my initial shock ;-) B7abbak ya Libnaan. Kteeeeeer !!! Wallah !
Thanks for making my day better guys❤when ever I get boredom I visit your channel even I rewatch your videos . I finished smiling and this is the best travel document I’ve ever watched 🎉
This video proved that we shouldn't be trusting baseless surveys on the internet. So thrilled to see the lovely smiles in this video. Much love from Afghanistan to you and to the kind people of Lebanon.
Main stream media exist just to sow division. Every video I've watched of middle East countries, the people were very friendly, funny and generous. Totally opposite from what the media says.
I can't help but be filled with gratitude and joy for being part of this adventure - for showing you guys what Lebanon has to offer!! It has truly been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life, how you managed to bring people together from diverse backgrounds, fostering a genuine sense of unity and shared purpose. Your visit not only shed light on the charm of my country but also brought people together in a way that transcends borders and cultures♥To everyone watching this, I hope this brings a fraction of the happiness and inspiration it brought me during my time filming with the guys!! Lebanon is a gem waiting to be explored, and I couldn't have asked for a better family to showcase its magic to the world✨🇱🇧 Thank you!!!
I was a Student in lebanon for four years. 4 of the best years of my life. people were so kind, so generous, se welcoming. I miss that country like my own homeland
Omg kara and nateee love your videos! You should give Lebanon a second try, you did not explore it the way you should. Sending love from #Lebanon ❤️❤️❤️
we no longer have a mortgage, my husband is now retired and wants to travel back to Lebanon. We don’t splurge or anything like that. Inflation has hit hard and want to relocate while growing his 401k which is less than 700k at the moment. I'm cautious than ever with rising costs. Also because of the insecurities taking place I have really discouraged the idea.
Roughly how much you have in the 401k combined with a financial advisor’s help can help you not only grow but budget the money for your travel destinations. My spouse always delegates her excesses.
If I can chip in know what you are expecting from the 401k. An adviser might be able to help you visualize what role. The 401k plays in your overall plan. If your husband isn’t require to take minimum distributions yet, how long will it be until he reaches that required beginning age? These are what an adviser may want to determine in order to help you plan better and what investment strategy best suits you.

I've been traveling to Lebanon as a single female traveler! I had an amazing time, the locals are so welcoming and willing to help and explain the history! I was impressed by the knowledge of the locals, especially in Beirut- many of them were speaking at least 3 languages! I met a lot of foreigners visiting Lebanon which made me hope that things will get better! I would always return there, amazing country, welcoming people and a generosity I haven't found as much in other countries! Great video, thanks for sharing this experience with us!
You wrote exactly what I was thinking. I've been in Lebanon as a single female traveler too and had positive experiences. Lebanese people are simply great and really very hospitable. The only negative thing for me was, that I gained 5 kilograms during my stay in Lebanon. The Lebanese food is phenomenal.
I travelled solo to Beirut in the Fall of 2019, right when the protests against the government were ongoing. I stayed with the nicest airbnb hosts imaginable in the port district that later got blown up by the huge explosion. Luckily, they survived. I had a great week in Beirut - much better than I was expecting. I even walked straight through the protests and the army was so friendly as were the protesters. Unlike in the past, they were young and peaceful. Already their currency was crashing but not nearly as bad as what happened after I left. The nightlife was fantastic, the food was great as well as the people and the history was fascinating. Before the economy crashed the lifestyle was awesome. I left with a new appreciation for this great destination and know that Lebanon will rebuild and thrive again in the future thanks to its wonderful people. They survived a far worse civil war - they can survive this. We in the West need to help economically though.
We in the west are aligned with Isreal so they will never see our US aid. We wouldn't even speak against the bomb that the media reported was at a fireworks depot. Smh
Man, I am really amazed by how many locals in Lebanon speak fluent English. In my country, China, I’d say probably 80% of the population can’t have conversation in English at all. Most of the young people know some English, but it’s more for writing exams instead of actually using it in daily interactions, which means many of them wouldn’t speak English nearly as fluently. Like Chinese, Arabic is a language completely different from English, and yet, so many Lebanese people speak English so comfortably, it’s just fascinating.
Like as they said briefly on screen, in Lebanon, the US dollar was used as an additional curency until the government banned it in 2019. I just checked and basically USA influence has been slowly influencing the rise of English since the 1940s. Apparently 30% of Lebanese people speak English, and I would bet that most of them are younger people and people who live and work in Beirut. Wikipedia says the government instituted the use of a trilingual education system in 1997, where education is to be done in Arabic, English, and French. So most of the people they talked to would be young enough to have been using English all throughout their lives in school. I think Thomas could have been using French as well, but English worked better for the video. Or maybe he didn't know about the French part, who knows. French would have been more likely to work on older people than English so it's entirely possible he WAS using it off camera.
The folks that yes theory interacts with tend to be younger folks that have traveled abroad, so english is commonly spoken. Also, 2 of the 3 people here didn't speak arabic so you're not going to see interactions with those hosts in anything but english.
Actually Lebanon has had a tri lingual education system for a looong time. Well before 1997. It may not have been instituted before then though. I’m first generation and my whole family (parents, aunts, uncles) speak English, French and Arabic. This is because schools in Lebanon are either French or English schools. All taught Arabic but you needed French or English as well
As a Lebanese girl who was forced to leave her beautiful country and beloved family and friends to secure a better future, this is so heartwarming! I cried a lot… thank you for doing this and showing the world what a beautiful country Lebanon is, despite everything that happened and is happening! Appreciate your effort guys🫶🏼🫶🏼✨
As a first generation Canadian, born to Lebanese immigrant parents, and who went to Lebanon for the first time this year, you captured this country perfectly. I was nervous to go to Lebanon but I had the absolute best time despite all of the economic and political uncertainty. Thank you!
Welcome to your birthparent's country. If you find your parents nice and generous, then you'd also expect the country they were brought up in to hold the same values. Hope you revisit it again
Dear Yes Theory and Seek Discomfort, I've been going through a really, really hard time in my life. Things haven't been working out and it's too much to get in to in a simple RUclips comment, but your videos have really helped me get through it. I wish you and the squad nothing but happiness and joy for the rest of your lives. One love
this comment will probably be buried deep down but I have to say this. I've been following yall for 7 years and you gave me a reason to live. to see the experiences, the hospitability, the kindness and the power of connections has made me hopeful, even if I don't experience them myself. to know that there are kind people out there like in this video gives me strength to live on, and for myself to experience it too. to be honest, there is no yesfam community in Singapore where I live and I've tried to reach out and find my community but I couldn't. this video made me smile, and be hopeful that will soon. the energy is so contagious. Thank you. Thank you for doing what you do, you may not realise the entirety of your love but it is awesome. More love more life.
Sorry to hear that, I know how it feels to not have community (unfortunately I live on he other side of the world). Don't think you're alone with this and don't give up hope, yet! At least we have this little corner in the internet which is so full of love and kindness.
I was skeptical when Russell Peters (a comedian) was talking about how the Lebanese party like there's no tomorrow. Now, I have zero doubts about that.
Never thought I would want to visit the world's angriest country so much! Definitely adding a trip to Lebanon to the top of my bucket list and thank you Yes Theory for that!
that also comes with its downsides, you get disowned or shot, when you do anything as a women that involves a man outside of marriage......don't glorify shit just because you saw a video of maybe open minded people, if u dont know anything.
@@oceyhobro talks like murders and disowning of people only happens in countries where they try to protect their women in their families and where they actually respect the women more than western countries. Look at USA it’s much worse, there you even have so much school shootings where innocent CHILDREN are getting shot for no any reason. The rape percentage is even higher in those western countries than those Muslims countries. So before talking next time do your research and actually know what you are talking about.
@@oceyho It's all about controlling women through fear. In the West, we have decided to let women make their own choices and face the consequences themselves, but I don't know if it's really had a positive impact on women's mental health.
I love seeing people experience Lebanon for the first time. Outside of the politics and the image portrayed by the media, it is a MUST visit country. And stay off the beaten path, ignore the touristy things and interact with the locals and see things from their eyes. Everyone is very well educated and you will have no communication issues whatsoever. There's a reason everyone falls in love with this place.
What an epic movie about an epic country. Great idea with the challenge. Been in Lebanon few times myself due to my profession. While and after my performances as you would say I emersed into to the Lebanese world and mett one of the nices people that I ever met. They showed me their food (the best in the world I agree) their culture, their struggles and how they try to overcome it and ofcourse also the world famous night life of Beirut. Great idea to put this country into the spotlight - they trully deserve it (like many other surrounding countries) Keep inspiring guys and good luck to Lebanese people ;)
As a half Lebabese person living in Canada who lived in a foster home and grew up disconnected from my biological family and heritage, this video has impacted me in the best way. I feel a sense of connection unlike any other I've ever had. To say that is so wild.. the impact feels life changing. Thank you for making these videos and giving me the opportunity to live vicariously through you!! My heart is so full, I love you guys, all of Yes Theory, and Lebanon, SO MUCH! 💕
@@asdfg3839 I'd love to go, and when I can afford to in the future I will. I don't know where I'll go and how I'll find my people, but I'm going to try!
Having grown up in the Middle East where majority of my friends were from Lebanon and surrounding regions it blows my mind that its even on that list, it makes absolutely no sense to me, Lebanese are some of the most friendliest, fun loving and hospitable people you'll meet, I pray that their undeserved sufferings come to an end soon, but also thank you for making this video, much love ❤
People, in my opinion, are inherently good. We are kind, we love, we laugh. And I think you guys continue to show the world how we ALL should act as humans!
I hope that all of the people in this video, and all of their loved ones, are safe. The latest reports say that the death toll in Lebanon is currently at 3,544. Though I wish that I could do more than offer well wishes, it's all that I have. So my thoughts are with Lebanon and it's people and I truly hope that the end to this violence is near. Enough lives have been lost.
Firstly, Arabic might be the most beautiful sounding language in the world. Secondly, these people are some of the most eccentric people I think I've seen in your videos! The spirit is so high and the energy of everyone is amazing! I want to visit very much after this
This is primarily the kind of content that attracted me in the first place to the Yes Theory Channel and it's message. The goodness and kinship in people for strangers, for example. I'd love to, one day, be able to do such an adventure myself!
This, right from the title this is rubbish. Who claims Beirut has more angry people compared to New York, London, Istanbul, Moscow, Caracas, Wuhan, or Durban?
Those dudes Thomas found are a hoot I love them. Also the fact the man wouldn’t open his house to a strange man was because of his sister and he offered to stay with him at his friends place. What a genuine person
12:23 “It’s love for the country, and you want to believe and know it’s gonna work out even if the signs don’t show. It’s also the faith in the people.” This is such a beautiful response despite the economic, political and social challenges they’re facing in Lebanon. I’m a Filipino and living in the Philippines became even more challenging due to the economic changes. However, I’ll never stop loving my country and have faith that it’ll prosper again. To all Filipinos, let us not lose our patriotism for our country.
Such a heart warming episode! I didn't expect Lebanon to be so heart warming & friendly people. The media blocks the real Lebanon, despite the struggles & the economic crisis, Lebanese people are so generous, friendly and they give a warm welcome to anybody. I love Lebanon! Thank you YES Theory for doing such an amazing episode! Lebanon is not the angriest country, It's one of the most generous, loving people you will ever meet! Would love to visit Lebanon one day. Thank you Thomas, Staffan & Ammar! Thank you YES family!
Welcome to our country what ever you want, we get only angry when we remember what happened to us and one take the responsibility, but we always get stronger than before and no one can stop us, you find angry and in the next hour you will find us having fun to forget our anger and we live our lives like we want 😁
you guys just turn me into a future Lebanon visitor. And Im sure Im not speaking only for myself. The good energy is so genuine. Loved this video with all my heart
This video made me emotional, sincerely thank you Yes Theory for making this. I’m a Lebanese expat living in Australia and the situation in my country absolutely breaks my heart. Our people radiate love, generosity and happiness.
I can attest to that, we have Lebanese community here in the Philippines. They’re kind, accommodating, peaceful loving people. I pray and hope someday that the glory of Lebanon will be restored. Thank you Yes Theory for this amazing, exciting adventure. Thomas, Amman and Steffan congratulations 👏👏👏🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
My father is from Beirut, but we've only spoken a handful of times throughout my life. I was born in Canada and I am now 28 years old. I never got the chance to know anything about my paternal family or anything about Lebanon other than through news and media, but this video gives me hope that I will one day get to visit my country and feel the sense of home I've been longing for my whole life. Thank you Yes Theory for another incredible video allowing people from across the globe to gain insight into cultures that are often misunderstood and misrepresented in the Western world.
I truly wouldn’t have had the heart to make the friends I did, learn the languages I did, and embrace and learn what I used to be afraid of. I can only pray you continue with your success and spreading positivity, positive brotherhood and culture.
As an international student studying in lebanon it was so cool seeing all the streets and places i know and love in the video, and all the places i’ve never seen that i’m inspired to explore now
I visited Lebanon a few months ago and it instantly became one of my favourite countries. I loved the people, the food, the architechure, the music everything! I loved your video. Thank you!!!!
It's so wholesome watching this as a Lebanese person and seeing the joy and beauty in this country despite everything. I wish you guys visited other places in Lebanon as well like Batroun or Bekaa
I am Bulgarian and 2 days ago I saw your video where you go to Bulgaria on my explore page and that's how I found your channel. Now here I am, watching this video on Lebanon, my grandfather's country, and the feelings are overflowing me and hard to handle. Thank you for showing us different parts of the world, places we have never or will never see. I have never visited Lebanon, nor did I grow up with that culture, and seeing it now brings me so many mixed feelings. Hopefully one day we will visit it, it is my mom's dream and I will try to make it happen. Thank you for your dedication, you guys are truly special.
Wow, the people of Lebanon have smiles super glued to their faces😊. Such generous people too. Dude said, "they were wanting by the police" 😂 what a jokester 😂
Couldnt stop smiling and had goosebumps from the first second of this video till the last second. Im so happy that someone showed how beautiful this country is and how kind, generous and friendly our people are. And how much we love life and love to live. Thank you guys and all i can say is I’m proud to be Lebanese ❤️🇱🇧
This video made my cry! Lovely people out there in Lebanon! So inspiring, so positive and kind to complete strangers! Some love from Holland ( the Netherlands )
We love you guys too. Notice our variety of looks in the video too. Some of us look like other Arabic speakers, some of us like Europeans, blonde hair and colored eyes. Beautiful mix, I'm always proud of our variety. Thanks for your kind words.
This was such an amazing video. Love the old school vibes and it was nice to see Staffan do a sort of og "abandoned" video for the first time. Still a favorite quote "The people who have the least give the most". I hope the roomates that were canceled from entering their place after accepting the challenge are okay and have somewhere to stay now. Maybe the people that threw them out will see this and begin to change their mindset who knows. Also kudos to the editors for the "Do you believe in aliens" bit to the UFO club, that was top tier.
Meeting you guys was an absolute dream and having you our yes fam Lebanon truly meant the world and gave us so much positivity and energy!!! we hope to see you again sooon! - energizer bunny (Stephanie Tadros)
Thank you for being a pillar of the community and bringing so many people together, the Yes Fam wouldn’t be what it is without proactive people like you 🫶🩵
What beautiful people. You could really feel their friendliness! I have always wanted to travel, but being in a wheelchair makes it pretty hard, so being able to watch this channel go to places I could only dream of makes me feel like I am right there.
I thought Ammar would have the easiest time speaking Arabic, Steffan had the night I would have wanted - chilling on the balcony talking about aliens, but Thomas for sure had the best night - go techno! ❤
And you were right, Ammar had the easiest time communicating but because he went on 2 detours he didn't get as much tries as the others, one of which was with the yes fam so that must've taken alot of time
Seeing Reg do the merch plug actually was really cool, and was one of the first time i enjoyed a plug and even found it a bit heartwarming due to the video you did with him. More Reg please!
A totally 101% inspiring vlog. The Lebanese people are so resilient and despite what they have been through, remain cheerful and positive. I hope for a brighter future for everyone. Corrupt governments are in every country, let's hope fate has it's way and the corrupt get what they deserve. Looking forward to see you all on future videos. Gail, Czech Republic ❤️ ❤️ ❤.
I’m from the US but I now live in Mexico which has a BIG Lebanese community. They’re amazing, hard working ppl who have made a big name for themselves here. I truly hope things get better in Lebanon. Much love to Lebanon and it’s people from Mexico 🇺🇸🇲🇽🇱🇧
I had the amazing opportunity to live in this country for a couple of months, and I only can say that their people changed my life completely. Their joy, love and hope is incomprehensible. Thank you Lebanon! ❤
Love this video and let’s appreciate all the different vibes each guy had, what an adventure for sure. Thomas with the wild party, Ammar with the unexpected twists and Steffan being such a sweet angel.
Wow guys love to see such generosity in people of Lebanon. I almost cried at last and smiled all the way through, feel like visiting the Lebanon very soon now.
The jewel of the middle east. This country has amazing, warm, kind people. I know the country will turn itself around in the near future. Great video guys
When Thomas was going to party, I was kind of expecting it to just be those guys hanging out and having some drinks. I guess I should have picked up on the vibes after the wheelies on the scooter. My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the club they went to 😂 It was awesome watching three different experiences unfold at the same time. All three guys had completely unique days and nights, but they all met friendly people and woke up with incredible views. Yet again, Yes Theory puts out a wonderful video from start to finish. From the talented editing, to the awesome merch plug from Reg, this video was an all around great one.
I'm a lebanese and i live there now and i always watch your videos but seeing my country and my people in such a nice picture and wonderful hospitality brought me to tears ... lebanon is known for it's different cultures and religions ... so basically everyone can find home in lebanon 🇱🇧 ❤

Staffan was a wholesome cherub whose first thought was to give flowers away, ends up having the cutest bromance sleepover. Then Ammar in true Yes Theory fashion actively connected with the culture and ended up with the most ragtag group at the end.

Oh, and Lebanese told me an important lesson, that their version of pizza (man2ouseh) can be eaten in the morning ... which I thoroughly enjoyed after overcoming my initial shock ;-)

@@Teapot_418 in what way?
Actually Lebanon has had a tri lingual education system for a looong time. Well before 1997. It may not have been instituted before then though. I’m first generation and my whole family (parents, aunts, uncles) speak English, French and Arabic. This is because schools in Lebanon are either French or English schools. All taught Arabic but you needed French or English as well
We Lebanese people have always been multilingual.
As a Lebanese girl who was forced to leave her beautiful country and beloved family and friends to secure a better future, this is so heartwarming!

This film teared me up, entertained me, educated me, humbled me and asked me to be a better person. Top work, folks.

Do they follow a book that says to unalive people for "sins"?

@@PROVOCATEURSK how's the kool-aid taste there, bud?
Love this video and let’s appreciate all the different vibes each guy had, what an adventure for sure. Thomas with the wild party, Ammar with the unexpected twists and Steffan being such a sweet angel.
I hope the situation of this country will be better sooner . GREAT PEOPLE GOD BLESS LEBANON
Wow guys love to see such generosity in people of Lebanon. I almost cried at last and smiled all the way through, feel like visiting the Lebanon very soon now.
The "Angriest" country in the world turned out to be the Friendliest !!! Greetings from Greece. ❤❤❤
So many smiles and laughter. I hope to visit this beautiful country and their close knit communities someday. Aloha from Hawaii.
My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the club they went to 😂
It was awesome watching three different experiences unfold at the same time. All three guys had completely unique days and nights, but they all met friendly people and woke up with incredible views. Yet again, Yes Theory puts out a wonderful video from start to finish. From the talented editing, to the awesome merch plug from Reg, this video was an all around great one.
Welcome to Lebanon 😂 they go out with friends party eat and that’s pretty much it, they just be having a good time.
I'm a lebanese and i live there now and i always watch your videos but seeing my country and my people in such a nice picture and wonderful hospitality brought me to tears ... lebanon is known for it's different cultures and religions ... so basically everyone can find home in lebanon 🇱🇧 ❤
Lebanon is now somewhere i really wanna go to now. The people seem so nice and as a photographers the potential is limitless
