I have had Comica and have tried several Comica's. They sound great, especially the high-end ones, but all of them have more signal clipping than the competition. The DJI's are very good but heavy, with rode sound and bigger size. The Hollyland's don't sound as amazing, but they have a rock-stable signal, which I value very much. Especially when you are not recording static interviews where the subject is moving and facing Wi-Fi interference and other elements. At those times, you realize why Hollyland is known for their wireless transmitters. They may not sound like the DJI's, but you don't have a single micro signal dropout that ruins your recording.

The DJI you can get now for about $/€220 with one RX and one TX. Same quality! might be something for talk to camera video's. The big thing with the Comica is that you can't plug in a external mic. Which means you need to upgrade for that. with a DJI you are all set. Best sounding is DJI for me, low budget Comica option is great bang for your bucks or euro's.

The Comica looks like a good fit for low-cost DSLR type filming where a standard stereo cable is in play. I didn't see a lightning port or USB C port, so the DJI would be much better in my opinion for its adaptability. I have used the DJI mic kit without issue for all of my video needs.

    • @Engearment

The issue is that's their budget option, their RODE competitor is their "BOOM" line. Boom X-U and Boom X-D. If you were going to do this justice, the BOOM X-D or BOOM X-U from Comica are more in line quality wise with the RODE and DJI. Comica is a great company, but after playing with the DJI Mic (even though like 100 more than the X-D Pro from COMICA) is my favorite. Didn't like the experience with RODE. Also the build quality on the DJI is easily the best. THOUGH that said, haven't played with the Hollyland one. So can't speak to it. But, Comica has some really interesting and unique mics out there for cameras, like a wireless boom. Their Two armed transforming boom mic.

Yours is the second review I have watched trying to decide between the Comica and DJI, and so far, no one has covered how easy the Comica is to set up compared to others to start using, or the battery life of the Comica. I have learned that the DJI is easier to use than the Rode, but not the Comica. I would assume that the Comica is pretty much plug and play, just haven't heard anyone say it. Dang, I've been looking at these, but since I don't really get a lot of views on my videos I'm not at all monetized, so it doesn't make sense for me to spend $300+ for the DJI. I was looking at the Hollyland but it seems without a gain control it's kind of useless since sometimes I want to record myself at the range, and for that I would like to lower the gain down so that the gunshots don't overblow the audio too badly. The Comica seems promising with the gain control but it seems like it just starts off too loud if that audio sample was at 2/4, I could imagine setting it to 1/4 won't be low enough for my use case...
