For Thai people "Copper" is the best when it come to All you can eat buffet and not even a 5 star hotel can beat them and I dare say it's the best in the world in 1500+ price range
Woah! I haven’t tried Teenoi BBQ yet. You guys are quick 🤣. This style of BBQ is actually the “father” of Moo Krata. To keep it short, it’s believed that people adapted leftover bulgogi pans from factories and took inspiration from Japan’s Genghis Khan dish to create this BBQ. Later, Bar-B-Q Plaza popularized it, bringing it to malls and making it a family dining staple alongside MK. When Korean dramas became a craze, locals adapted this BBQ style and called it “Moo Korea” or Korean BBQ. It basically became what Thai people thought of as Korean BBQ! Eventually, real Korean BBQ rose in popularity and reclaimed the name 😂, so “Moo Korea” gradually shifted to “Moo Krata.” For me, this type of BBQ feels like a cleaner, more premium version of Moo Krata. BBQ Plaza (or “Bar-B-Gon” as many Thais call it after its mascot) became the go-to spot for families in malls. Younger people like me often prefer it over MK, while elders (especially grandma!) lean toward MK. It’s a bit of a rivalry on where to go for dinner 🤣. Not too long ago, BBQ Plaza started offering an all-you-can-eat option too, but only for limited periods. It’s now become an annual event every March, if I remember right. Now, Teenoi, who made buffet-style MK affordable with Suki Teenoi, is coming for BBQ Plaza’s spot! I’m excited to try it. It looks so tasty 😋 and it’s even more affordable!! Ps. There's like 3 types of BBQ in Thai. This one, where people just called it Barbeque. Moo Krata And Ko Khun Krata Ron translated as Hot Pan Beef Actually, this one is so confusing and no consensus name to call. 🤣 Some called it Yang Noei(grill with butter), or Ko Khun Pone Young Kum(a premium breed of Thai cow), etc. Foreigners always mistook it for Moo Krata. But this BBQ always specialized on beef and cooked on flat iron pan with butter.
Normaly, you can ask to change the pan if it too dark. My tips pour the broth on the pan to cool down the pan repeatly if it too hot work on this type of pan.
My invite was about a similar place here in Pattaya, Hope you guys had a great time eating. But am sad that i wasn't the person bring you guys to a place like this. 😥
It looks so good! I went to one before I left in Chiang Mai and only made it an hour before I called it quits. Some foreigners complain about the two hour time limit but I’ve never had an issue and I can eat 😂
I only tried Tee Noi's Khao Gaeng and I love it. Always wanted to try their hotpot, but every time there's too much crowded 😢 Ps Thai and Chinese people like to marinade meat with egg to make it more tender, then put it in the soup.
I am enjoying your videos and still going through your older videos. My husband and I are looking into living in Bangkok for a year to see how things go. My main concern is healthcare for non-Thais. Just wondering if you can share some tips about health insurance for foreigners.
Glad to hear you are enjoying them! 🥰 Very Nice! Initially, that’s what we were concerned about too and had travel insurance for over a year. After being here for a bit, we realized if something does occur, we just visit a hospital without insurance. They’re no where near expensive than what we used to pay in the states even with health insurance. P.S. Before coming, I would buy Tylenol Rapid, Pepto, and other meds just in case 😃
You know it’s like 15 minutes far from my house by walk but I only have a chance to try it once ! It was Long time ago back to time when it was not this popular! The long line seems last long forever nowadays. I was not tolerant enough to wait for it haha I give up lol btw which branch have you tried? The leab duan one next to the Makro mall right? This area is kind of the original area of Teenoi kingdom if I do remember.
I find it so ironic that Thai people very occasionally eat Pad Thai or Green Curry once in a while yet those are the Thai dishes that are known worldwide. Yet Moo Krata, which Thai people on every occasion (post exam, birthdays, weddings, after work, etc.) remains unknown. In some way it's way more of an authentic Thai food eaten by Thais than the famous Thai dishs found in Thai restaurans overseas.
@@ChovyTravel Usually at Mookata places, you can ask them to just change your pan when it gets too dark & they'll do it for free. Another tip is to pour the broth onto the pan (before and after), I find it more effective than using pork fat.
a little tip for not destroying the meat as much is slathering lots of pork fat (more than what you've had in the video) all around the pan and start with the fattiest cuts first. you need to do it several times while eating tho. practice makes perfect. fighting!! hehe 😁
and another quick tip as a thai we put veggies and all the boiling stuff in first before start cooking the meat cause after putting all of them in the soup and you start grilling and eating some meats almost everything in the soup will be done and ready to eat that way we can enjoy both at the same time. isnt cool? 😋❤
Hehe thanks for sharing this!! We didn’t know and our grill was butchered 😅 how many pork fats do you usually use? We later also tried putting the butter on top and that kinda helped.
from what ive seen in the video its small so i'd probably use 2 pieces of fat at a time but after you slather it all over you need to leave it on the center of the pan at all time to render the fat til you're done eating cause when you leave it on the center the fat will melt down little by little to keep your pan oily and ready to grill. if the pork fat runs out of fat before you finish eating then you need to put a new set of fat on to the pan.
i loveeeee the pork fat at the end when its burned and toasty the greasiness level is perfect for me. i know its not for everyone and its not so good for your body but once in a while its kinda acceptable lol 😂😅

@@ChovyTravel the only down side of Copper is you need to book it in advance a few days or sometime week
@ChovyTravel Bangkok has a lot of quality buffets, usually in the hotels. Copper is worth trying, and they have different price options.
Got it! Thanks for the info 😀
Yeah, we’ll check it out!! 👍
I can’t wait! I’ll be in Thailand in less than a month!

We have a location link for you in the description! 📍😊
Has Anthony got told that he looks like Randall Park from the show “Fresh off the boat”?
He looks like that actor imo. 😅
Yes! Multiple times! 😅 I’ve seen him in movies but I don’t see it 🤷 Maybe we need to watch Randall Park more to see the similarities 😃
Do you need to get a taxi? No mrt near by or bus?
There are options for MRT/BTS and then Bus but we would recommend Taxi/Bolt/Grab.
Is Suki Teenoi and BBQ Teenoi the same or not - Suki Teenoi does not appear to be AYCE - grateful if you can confirm.
It is not the same. However, from what we recall, they’re the same company. We haven’t tried Suki Teenoi 😅
To avoid the meat sticking to the pan, you need to put a lot of pork fat or something greasy on the pan first and keep refilling the soup
You’re absolutely right! Learned that a little bit too late but still kind of worked out 😅
you all must exercise a lot!
We do! 😅 Even though it doesn’t show 😁
If the pan is too burnt You can request a replacement pan.
Really!? Oh wow! Didn’t see anyone do it so didn’t think it was possible. Thanks for letting us know! Will ask next time 😅
@ChovyTravel Never eaten at Tee Noi But at every Moo Krata you can, some free, some charge money 🙂
Good to know! Thank you 😊
Buggah, look ONO & AKamai...
Definitely delicious! 😋
why was there even a queue when there were so many empty tables?
me no unnerstan.
work time not week end
I’m assuming because they didn’t want people to rush at the same time and cause a stampede 😅🤷
Yes! It was a weekday.
The restaurant is empty. Why wait in line
Idk 🤷🏻♂️ but either way, the wait wasn’t too bad.
Thais would merinate meat with raw egg and then pour it into the soup as the final dish.
Oohhh 😲 thanks for the tip! Gonna have to try that next time. 😁❤️😋
run the nucket, jelly fish in the hot water,
grill the others
