I prefer the sun logo cymbals + if you can find them with the reflector finish they rule. I have 3 different pair of the sun logo hats and they are all amazing.
@@doublea7054 Sun logo here also. Maybe it’s just that I hear with my eye’s because I don’t like the Franken logo lol. But they are great sounding cymbals. Blessed with 3 pair of hats, I’m jealous.
Love that sun model, the overtones are almost annoying but then they're not, which make it even cooler. You can laaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy into it too. Sound Formulas are the perfect mix between the Sound Creation and the Signature series
I’ve consistently liked the original round logo SFs much better than the same model Frankensteins. I’m not sure what changed…some of them seemed to get heavier in the 2nd version.
I agree. The sun logos have a totally different make. The hammering, lathing and finish look different + the regular finish models were made in Germany. The sun logo versions are some of my favorite cymbals ever produced.
@@doublea7054 also i felt the bell of the frankens were better, what do you think. Thinking about getting a franken power ride 20, what would you think?
If your like myself, your gonna try a bunch of gear to figure out what works the best for you. I can't speak to any other SF rides than the Full ride models. Personally i prefer ride cymbals where the bell doesn't fight you... Some do some don't.
Sun logos are the best Paiste line ever!
yeah they rule!
What's not to love? The most precious metal on earth.
Yea sound formula cymbals are great cymbals
ride on the right is THE BOMB!!!!!
Thanks for these videos. The sound formula line was great
Got that right!
I have the Sun logo and it is great. Also own 3 crashes 2 Sun and 1 Frankenstein. Need me some hats now.

Sun for the win 😎
But!!! Both ride are killer
I totally agree... It sucks that they didn't make these in 22"!

I felt the frankens like to be played harder where as the sun logos prefer a lighter touch. I liked rhe frankens more.
I would agree. Sun logos open up with less effort. I like both but personally prefer the Sun logos for this very reason. Thanks!
