  • Unboxing and first look at the DF64P.
This is the brother of the DF64E, which is fully manual without the electronic dosing module.
It comes with a extended transparant plastic column with built-in antipopcorn to increase the dosage amount of beans as this P version does not come with a hopper.

It's quite possible that both your plastic cups have some weight difference. It would be good to have you weigh using same cup.

Interesting, looking fordward for your next tests. Just from sound it feels like there is still a ungrinded bean left in the grinder, but that might be misleading.

I was looking forward to this video 😊.
Interestingly, there seems to be some "rolling change"/different production versions of the DF64P.
    1. My Grinder did not come with the extra aluminium collar for the dosing cup. 😢
    2. I got a second declumper sheet in the bag, not installed on the grinder
    3. Mine has the "older", straight bellows design. I think the one you show in the video is a big improvement. Mine does not fit the plastic "mini hopper" very well. Also, a lot of grounds are stuck on top of the polished aluminium funnel (on top of the burrs).
    4. Mine was advertised with the DLC Burrs. How can I double check this?
Mine came from Belgium (only official distributor in Europe AFAIK). I will ask them about the new bellows design.

Love this grinder.. Mine retains from 0 to 0.2 grams per grind. I have to give the bellows a bit of a workout, and with my palm over the metal collar I give the cup a good whack on a rubber mat to get all the grinds off the metal collar. Have you tested the individual weights of the clear cup to make sure they are exactly the same? To reduce vibration noise I usually put my finger on the metal collar while grinding.

I think you need to check that both those cups weigh exactly the same. my guess is the one you are using to tare the scale is about .7 grams heavier than the one you ground the coffee into.

Maybe in single dose mode, try not to use the "extender" .
