      What are your thoughts after using it for a couple months?
      I've heard the touch controls are pretty unresponsive. Is that something you've noticed?

    Hey Pedro, how does the DF-64E compare to San remo allground grinder for espresso? Both are on my shortlist but I do prefer the aesthetic of the allground. Cheers

    • @CoffeePartsTV
      @CoffeePartsTV  Год назад +1

      Depends if you want to single dose. If single dose is not a big thing for you, then I feel the AllGround has a nicer build quality, and so like the titanium-coated burrs. Super easy to clean, and although you mentioned espresso, it's nice that it can easily filter if you want. Nut the All Ground is also at a higher price point, so maybe best to compare theAll GRound with the DF84.. Then it would be a harder choice.

    Of all the videos I’ve seen about this new grinder, yours was by far the most informative. However, I’d still like to know if it would still do well with espresso and pour over if you put some multi purpose burrs in, or if the grind setting just isn’t available? Also, how would this stack up against a Ceado S5? Also, do you have to align the burrs? Both the Ceado and P64 don’t require it.
    Thanks so much!

      Hi Jason, I'll leave it to Pedro to comment on how the DF64P/E stacks up to the Ceado S5 as I have no experience with that grinder. I assume you mean the Ceado E5SD.
      In regards to doing pour over the DF64P/E are not ideally designed for that. Some people claim they can get ok results for pour over. That being said it really depends on the coffee you are using. If you were hoping to do regular pour over from this grinder then I would say this is not the best option, however if you are looking to do the occasional pour over then it might be ok as long as you can accept that it won't necessarily get the best out of your coffee. The SSP multi purpose burrs may make a difference however we are yet to extensively test them to give a firm opinion on their performance.
      I would say that if you want the flexibility of espresso and filter then the DF64 might be your best bet.
      In regards to burr alignment the early issues with the DF64 burr alignment have improved significantly and improved again with the DF64P/E. Will they be as perfectly aligned as a P64 or Ceado? Possibly however maybe not but we are talking about 3 grinders all with very different price points.

      @@frankandrews4470 thanks for responding Frank. Do you know if the burrs will require alignment? Thanks again.

      @@jasonsnovel9050 I have the DF64P and you may have to align burrs and it is more complex than the DF64 in that you have to remove the bottom, all the electronics, loosen a single bolt, then move the bottom burr (the piece that moves up/down) either up or down depending on your burrs until you are in that sweet spot at the finest grind, and retighten the bolt.... repeat as necessary. I have seen some people who have needed to shim a burr with foil that was higher/lower on on side than the other, but I haven't had that issue.

      This is where the Coffee Tech DF64 is different from the international models. We have worked on tools to make the burr alignment more accurate from the production line so it is unlikely that the burrs would need realigning. The DF64E/P are still undergoing final Australian compliance certification and we are also finalising our alignment tools for the new models however we anticipate that these will all be resolved very soon.

      big hopper states 225g in manual, If you include beans down inside the machine im gunna guess the tube holds about 100g and more if you dont care about some in the bellows for the first 2 shots. I ordered this part from the P along with my E grinder because i want to pump the bellows but i only need 4-5 cups or so per day from my hopper. (and there is no big bellows for the hopper, i would have settled for that option like on my old breville)

    Hey Pedro. Im in the market for a grinder i have had my ete on the df64P/E and eureka oro single dose or Niche 0. Would like to know your thoughts and why? I have found pros and cons in all 3 but not much on the df64p also do you have the df84? Are these grinders available through coffee parts?

    • @frankandrews4470
      @frankandrews4470 Год назад +2

      Hi Anthony, as the distributor of the Coffee Tech range of grinders, I won't comment on the all the grinders you mention. I'll leave that for Pedro. I can confirm that the DF83 will be coming to Australia once we have completed Australian certification. Unfortunately electrical appliances sold in Australia and NZ need to go through a separate certification process. This often leads to delays in product availability as there may need to be changes made to the original product design but it's better to be safe than sorry.

    This products gets hundreds of bad reviews on Reddit regarding clogging issues. People have to disassemble it everytime after grindering more than 10 grams of coffee beans. It is a product that is sensitive to the beans. It does not even work for a medium roasted beans sometimes. After claiming a warranty after 11 months of use, I also find the so called 1 year warranty useless. It requests endless videos for its engineers to figure out what's wrong with the machine, and its has a list of useless solution for you to figure out what's wrong with your machine. It does not directly respond to your request of fix or exchange, and I believe this business should not exist in North America.
