Same here, to me "patina" is over used/over valued and to me means too darned lazy/cheap to paint, but in this case, doing it this way was the right call. My wife's car was just like that one only in 4-door.
The music is an original creation by the creator of this video. She received a copyright strike for a song that was listed on a "free music" site so she started to make her own. I agree, the music on all of her vids is amazing!
Wow!!! What a beautiful 59! I just picked one today. It was completely restored 17 years ago. Bought it from a 80 year old man. I’ll have videos of her soon.
Im usually a ford and pontiac guy but u cleaned up this '59 nice. Im good with some patina cars and this is one i like, why do a generic paint job then always worry about keeping it perfect.
that is the most beautiful 59 ive seen in a long time,,,,,i love OG patina paint you did a great job on it!!! my dad had a 59 when we were growing up, i wish we still had it.....hope to see this car in SO CAL car show soon?.... thanks for video!!! awesome car
Thank you and yes, we were proud of it as well. Always a pleasure being able to restore such a gem. It went to Californian where it belongs and I am sure it will be taken care of and showcased!
That 59 Impala was just like my 1 st car. Same color-minus the white top & trunk. Had it for 2 months & trade it for a 64 Impala SS 327-300 hsp, midnite blue & light blue interior.
Considering the car wasn’t painted it looks real good, at this point it wouldn’t take much prep to do a full paint job. That’s the retired Body Man in me.
Don't care for the patina look. I would have painted it to make it look new. Would have put original wheel covers on it also. But that's me, to each his own. Great car.
Many times when I see one like this with a gleaming new paint job I spend some time looking at the rear quarters and door openings checking for major panel repair etc. I'm not 100% sold on the patina craze but this is so immaculately done, and it seems to showcase the pure original beauty. I too would like the full original type wheel covers but these cars also look better with a bigger taller wheel/tire combo that fills the wheel openings. A 15 to17" retro wheel and tire that can accept original wheel covers would be a real plus for a beauty like this. Overall I give this car a 100%, absolutely won't dock anything for my personal prefs!
@@jeffshimek5477 The 14x6 wheels won't allow decent size tires. The great thing about wheels, it only takes about 30 minutes to change them to whatever you want. No harm, no foul.
They sell acrilic laquer for classic cars. What the big deal of a paint with rust underneath the paint especialy the roof, the rust will continue to eat at the metal from underneath the paint.
There is nothing really left of the original paint. If your going restore the car then do it right . Dont do the trendy thing and clear coat it . I love the car but the paint is atrocious.
The paint was brought back to life… many people love the patina look… if you’d listen to the video then you’d know that it was never clear coated. Absolutely Original paint ! If you know what you doing it can be achieved with a little extra work… 🙏
@@Peter-hg5qd So you think it is a good idea to erase ALL of the original paint and just put new paint all over it just like the other 24,654 59 Impalas with new paint jobs? If your answer is "yes", they you probably won't understand why this car sold for $65,000 within one hour of being advertised.
Come on - patina is just another word for crap, or I couldn't afford it anyway. So why drive this ferric oxide tub on the streets to litter the road with shrapnel, while puncturing tires of other functional autos?
I'm not one who is a fan of "patina" cars but that's a sharp original paint car that someone will surely enjoy

Not really, I think patina on some cars gives it "character." 😉
Patina under glass.
Loved all about this video.
The artistic/music quality included please.
A great survivor renewal.

@@jamesmclynas6648 Well thank you! I am still learning but enjoy making this music as it is a creative venture and differs from the norm!!!
That car is amazing. The owner really protected that car well though the years. Very nice job on the detail and polish👍
Excellent job done on this car. It's a year older than me.
Wow congratulations you saved a beautiful jewel.
This is nothing short of awesome!! Congratulations on a job well done by only doing what was needed.

I have three words to say about your beautiful find WOW
Turned out very nice!
What a timeless beauty. Just amazing.
Nice colour! 👍 I have owned a '59 2dht Roman red/white with a 348 since 1987. Greetings from Finland!
I wasn't expecting it to look that good when I saw patina in the title. It came out terrific though.
Not a big fan of the Rally 1s, but the rest of the car is spectacular. The restored interior and chassis is 100% on point.
Damn, that is sweet. I would have loved to buy it.
Best. Lookin car on that trailer
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 Really nice minus wheels and hub caps 👍 🏄

New to the channel and lemme say…beautiful find and awesome rescue. Car came out amazing
Love the car, thats the year I like with that type rear end
That was a joy to watch. I'm amazed that paint came back .
Just Subscribed. We have a 1960 Pontiac Catalina in our collection. It has the same glass and roof line as a chevy.
Beautiful car. Well done, though not a fan at all of original patina vehicles. New paint completes the job.
What a super job 👏👏🇬🇧
Wery nice..

1959 Impala GM's finest.
Thank you to all the new subscribers, I am at aw and hope this channel can grow to showcase more beautiful classics!
Beautifully done!!
The chrome on the car such as the wheels and bumpers complement the car's patina.
The grill is what I liked about them the most and many other things of course. I'm surprised there are so many left. I wish I could afford one.
That's a beautiful car. My brother had 1 with a 348 with 3 deuces.
Beautiful!
Such a Beauty!
beautiful 👌
That's awesome
Very nice
Awesome
Nice job. Just needs to find a rocket for the left fender.

Pontiac GTO Rally 1 wheels...Interesting
15 inch aftermarket versions. Most people don't know what those wheels are and assume they are Corvette Rallyes. Good eye.
Lindo esse clássico da GM. Amo ❤️😍
I will buy this car without hesitation anytime.
New owner is selling it for $75,000
I'd give my left lugnut for somethin' like that... I'd even take a solid 4 door sedan cateye, MEOW!
I believe there is one available soon. Stay tuned for the next few videos. Thank you for watching!
I want one.
What did you pay for it? What did you get for it?
Almost all died from cancer in the Pacific Northwest
“had” great patina
Please let everyone know where you saw this video posted.
Don't care for the patina look. I would have painted it to make it look new. Would have put original wheel covers on it also. But that's me, to each his own. Great car.
There is an entire sub culture of people that pay a high premium OVER the value of a nicely painted car to have that patina look.

You can get $537K as it sits
This cars rear always looks angry :D
LOL...I don't think that but your are entitled to your own opinion. Thank you for watching:)
For sale?
New owner is selling it for $75,000.
that's artificial patina tho isn't it?
No, it’s original patina.

The car is NOT clearcoated. It is just the original paint polished and buffed. All that is there is the original paint.

I'm sure that "tub" just sold for a hell of a lot more than that POS 2013 GTI you have. LOL
