I love my Fulaim X5. Your video has helped me figure out how to use it better. Thanks
I tried the fulaim X5. Had to return it. While it may be good for many applications, it did not work at all for mine. I use it while riding in the bike with my wife with the other transmitter. Any time she would be behind me, or in front of me with a body in between the transmitter and receiver, we would get bad audio. Even as close as 20 feet. Yes, I could’ve use the internal recording, but that would’ve added a step post, edit that I would prefer to avoid if possible. I went with a DJI, and so far it has worked flawlessly. in many cases, I would save the money, and use the fulaim. However, for what we are doing, the extra money was well spent. All the same good review.
I have this and it's great. Go get one. Audio is clean and the kit itself is well built. the box gets a bit of bad press in these reviews but it's not that bad in my opinion. It charges the mics and the receiver a couple of times and is as robust as it needs to be. OK it might break if you drop it on a concrete floor but just don't do that. Look after your gear.
The Safety Track: It would have been better if we could change the DB level of the safety track with an APP or something.
Sounds good!
Cool
Great review. I just got the X5 a few days ago. Awesome system. We will see how it holds up to long term use but it seems to be really well made and amazing sound quality for the price. I got it on Amazon prime day for only 100 U$
That’s a nice price ☺️👍🏻
Hello friend. Is it holding up good?
when does it start to record internally? does it record all the time while the transmitter is on?
Great review, have you tested the battery life to see if it stacks up to the manufacturer claims? - I'm seeing inconsistency there, some say 6 hours, some say 8, but can't find a test.
Also, size wise, they claim to be 1.8x smaller and 1.7x lighter than the DJI transmitter (47x26x13mm 18g on the X5 vs the DJI 47x30x20 30g), while having batter battery, I mean, woah! - Is that true or are they exaggerating the specs?
I have not entirely drained the batteries, never had any shoots that lasted that long.. and I haven’t tried the DJI mics so can’t make that direct comparison, but they are small and compact and I’m really impressed with what you get for the price!
Do you need the transmitter to be connected to the phone in order the receiver mic to get it work ? Cause I plan to use this on a gimbal and I have the feeling the way the transmitter is connected to the usb C phone port is quite fragile and I am afraid can get broken easyly if there is a lot of preasure add to it....
The transmitter is connected to the receiver and the receiver is connected to the phone. The USB-C connection could be a fragile point, I would put much pressure on it.
hey, i have tried everything to get my files from the internal recording, it doesnt seem to work, tried all the cables, all usb ports, other usb c cables, everything, even on different laptops! it still doesnt even register that the device exists, so i cant get to my internal recordings, using a lenovo legion 5 all up to date, any ideas?
From @rogeravhansen "You need to plug the transmitter to your computer with a USB-C cable that’s capable of transferring data, not just power for charging. When you do it will pop up as an external drive, and you find the audio file there. Once you’ve found it you need to open it in a program that supports WAV files."
How do I open the wav files, I’ve been trying to find them for 2 hours
