People who treat you like this just don't deserve your time, nor your attention, nor your worries. I have been treated like shit by my previous boss and the best I can do now is to be happy, to thrive and work for my dreams. I wish you the best :)
Ademir Alijagic exactly I went through this too and went through absolute hell for 14 months till they discarded me today after all my hard work and all my old employers I’m still close with. It was shocking. Their behavior says more about them than about you. They have put several people as “not good enough” in my position. They expect you to read minds it’s laughable. When I asked about what performance they were talking about it was an example of a time they wanted me to do something they never communicated and I would have no way of knowing, good riddens. I wish the next luck. They set people up to fail.

I was let go from my job today for apparantly "not being up to the standards expected from their employees", despite the fact that some of the things they expect wasn't made clear during my time there. It was the first time I was ever fired from a job, which kinda sucks, but that's okay because I tried my best, and it was their decision at the end of the day. I know that something better is on the horizon, so let's do this....
The whole "not being up to standards" is weasel words in my opinion. Those types of companies usually play favorites. lol Great attitude. Yes something better is always on the horizon.
Mugaka Murakumo yes happened to me too for the first time ever today and it’s bs. I stuck up for myself bc of how I was being treated for 14 months and they told me I wasn’t a fit. Yea a fit for your abuse. lol. I had a past employer offer me a job last week again so maybe it’s a sign. I actually have a good relationship with most past employers to the point they’d hire me again, so their loss.

Got fired from a job years ago and although it was scary...it was a blessing in disguise - it was the worst job I've ever had in my life and a very toxic environment. Once I got over the shock I was grateful they set me free from the misery - LOL!
Unfortunately, whether it was a "good" thing or not, is entirely dependent on whether something better is available. In the mean time, getting fired at all permanently taints a person in all future job searching. Recruiting processes all demand to know, "have you ever been fired from anything?" It's a stigma you can never erase. Because of that, it would be so much better to have proactively found that less toxic work environment already, and be the one to make the current toxic environment go away by your own choice.
Guitar Gangster Armi I understand , but try not to let them live in your head tent free . Just try to insulate yourself in the future from being taking advantage of . Work to get bills paid a few months in advance if you can do you have a buffer if you quit or get fired . If you can not say no or negotiate your little more than a slave .
i got fired and asked them for my last paycheck, they gave it to me and I quickly looked for other jobs. I found a job but in another city so i had to drive there with all my stuff and moved into a new apartment with my cat. it was a huge journey but i prayed to god every day and it happened
Got fired 3 days ago from my apprenticeship and the depression I feel is off this planet. However been working very hard all day for 3 days applying for jobs. Praying to god I get another chance somewhere
I was fired in early 2020 and instead of getting a new job, I decided to leave the corporate rat race and instead become an entrepreneur. I started selling my hobby illustrations on Instagram, and soon after I started teaching other people how to sell their passion projects online. Today I'm happily running my online business, set my own time, never worked harder, and never been happier! Getting fired was one of the best, if not THE best liberating things to happen to me, it made me zoom out and realize that there is a HUGE world out there with infinite possibilities to either waste or spend your life on. 'Getting fired' turned into 'getting set free'! It SUCKED at the start, and it will for you too, but you can choose to use it as a springboard for an amazingly better life if you let it! Good luck! 😊🙌
Yesterday, I was told I was suspended until further notice so today a decision was made and I was terminated. I take full responsibility and I can't undo or take back the error/mistake. I'm fine with it. Life goes on for me. Tomorrow is a new day.
How are you now? I got fired for calling my chef an idiot for hiring this awful sous chef. Initially I felt relieveed as it caused stress but now I have stress for finding a job. I know things will end up ok but just today it's a lot.
right after I read the text that I was getting fired today I called other places and now I have a interview in last then a week from now. No matter what always keep moving forward‼️
I just got fired today. 😫 I said to my boss, i understand, and i believe that many doors will open for me. (Just to divert mixed thoughts running in my head)

I was fired from a job after 2 weeks. Absolute bullshit. I did not thank them nor shake hands. I never looked back. The only thing i learned is too never accept offers from companies that are desperate for people
If you should ever get fired, really let your boss have it. Make them sorry for the mental and financial pain you are about to go through. Don’t go away humbly into the night, that’s a bunch of crap! You worked hard every damn day and everybody makes mistakes. I am no better and neither or you! Businesses treat workers like garbage day after day while we work our fingers to the bone and don’t appreciate us at all.
Exactly. I don’t get why we’ve got to be saints about it when I got yelled at the entire time but I still had to be nice. Like what the heck is that? You can’t even speak your mind when there are others pulling you down and being mean to you/not wanting to train you/treating you like you’re dumb?
I was fired today. They didn't tell me anything besides "I wasn't meeting their standards". I take full responsibility whether I think it was fair or not. I've made it this far I've gotta keep going.
For all of those that are here I pray and love you. I’m currently in this situation and just got engaged on Valentine’s Day, and I’m expecting my first child on the 4th of July, so I’m slightly down, but this too shall pass and the best is yet to come. Pray for me.
I just got fired from my first professional job. This helped me feel better, and seeing other people in my position have success in life made me feel so much better. I can get through this. I just wasn't a good fit for the company, and I'll refrain from sharing how I feel about them personally, but I know I went there and did the best I could in a job that really was meant for someone with more experience and knowledge.
Sounds like my situation. Going through this now as I was just let go from a job. My first mid level professional job. I’m very embarrassed and sad and feel like a failure but all I can do move forward
Part of me feels like I'm going to be told that I'm fired when I walk in this upcoming Wednesday since I just walked out when they wanted to put me in a position that I have no experience with. They did it once and didn't teach me anything on how to do it so I was doing things wrong and was getting yelled at. They try to put me in the same position and as I said, I just walked without a word. I'm not trying to get yelled at for something, not my fault. If you want to put me in that position for a bit then at least teach me how to do it easier instead of me trying to teach myself and getting yelled at. If I do get fired though then it would be dumb because someone has done what I did already 5 times and somehow he is still working there. So, if I get fired just for doing it once then I'm pretty sure I smell bs but then again, I can care less because the people there are toxic self-entitled pricks anyway
Glad it worked out for you. But that word "always" does not fit in the sentence. Because the alternative is that life does not work out, and then there is no more you. That can and does happen too.
I got fired and I have never been happier! I had been dreaming of starting my own business and RUclips for years but was held back by fear... And I am so glad I got pushed into doing this! I got my first client 2 months in and haven't missed my old life one second!
Just got fired today because I stood up for myself and told my ex boss to stop speaking to me in a wreck less manner. Told him in order to get respect you need to give respect and he let me go!

I got fired literally today.. I feel like all the world is dark and grey. I seriously cannot eat nor sleep I have been busting my ass off. Unfortunately, it is not even enough!! I am not blaming anyone, I will not start hating any former coworkers, I just wanna a job that I really like. This period of termoil, even though it is extremely hard, I will use it as a motive to try even harder !! I need your prayers guys, I am in immense pain but I promise I will do it
I have been fired many times, and even though at times I've sought to learn from the experience I haven't nailed down the three things to do you talked about in this video. Unfortunately, I've often made things worse for myself by badmouthing my previous employer and I can see now that that was a huge, huge mistake. Thank you so much Donald for helping me understand what I need to do to go some distance to healing those past employment relationships. I really appreciate your words.
I hope things are better for you since your comment. I have been fired too and I hardly hold back from saying bad stuff about my previous employer... I wish you the best!
I got fired by an “idiot”...was the best thing that ever happened to me..moved on went into something totally different and, started my own little business. It’s hard to hold you tongue in that situation trust me. This vid made all the difference for me. Thanks again!
Jump to right about 3:50 for this: "You know, actually I was let go. I really loved that company and I loved the people that I worked with. I just wasn't a fit for them and they weren't a fit for me. But I learned a lot and there's no question they advanced my career. I can't wait to see what's next". Thank you @Donald Miller!
Doesn't work with every situation. Depends on the job and the field. Sometimes you have to stand up for yourself. Stick with the facts instead of sugar coating abuse. If the new people know the abuser, sugarcoating means to every new employer that you are a doormat! Don't go there!
I like this method of thinking. You are a business and the company is the customer. Treat yourself like a business always. Example: Just because one or a few customers don't like your pizza, doesn't mean that everyone doesn't like it. Self reflection, lashing out never ends well. End gracefully. It wasn't a good fit. Keep going!
I was told today that my apprenticeship contract will be ended prematurely as my performance has not been upto the mark, despite me being proactive and asking for feedback. I feel heavy inside, but I hope that things get better.
Back when I was living in the U.S. (I now live in Germany) I had worked at two jobs from the span of 3-5 months, my first job was at A&W. I think at a personal level that the place is good. However, management was a f-king mess. 10 out of 10 times, I had to actually and physically show up at the restaurant just to get my check and see my weeks schedule. Which has either 1 to 2 days of work or no days for me at all, which leads to low paying physical paychecks. Employees tended to be rude or didn't care at all. After 3 months, I went job hunting and got a job at pizza buffet. The place looked promising, it looked organized, they actually use an online app to send out schedules and send direct deposits. Which sounded perfect for me, they gave me my uniform and I was hired on the spot, left my job at A&W and began there. During my first month, things were okay, there was some physical demands but nothing to complain about. Then the manager was kind of a hot head. Known for tearing into employees if they dared to slack off for one bit or even slowed down for one bit. I got to work as a pizza maker for... 2 days? Then I got sent off to dishes, which isn't too bad... When it's not busy. But one thing about dishes is that. It's hard to keep up when dishes and stuff from the kitchen keeps coming in, even after closing time. I remember I had to stay until 11 or 12 at night, because of this and the Manager (Who was a lady in her late 40s or 50s) straight up just screamed and teared into me that I was not suited for this place and that I can't do anything else until I can clean before midnight. Then cut my hours into Saturdays and early mornings (Which the most busiest and always full of people from a 4-5 hour shift) and it was absolute hell. I remember that, it gave me depression and almost have gotten to the point of self-harm. But I was able to reconcile myself and do like I did at my first job. Look for another and leave that job, I went online and applied for another and got my final job at the U.S. which was a fast food/Pizza Joint: Dominos. I called up my manager at the time when I got hired and said that I was quitting, it felt really satisfying. Being able to cut something out of your life that wasn't doing any good and getting a job that actually treated you like a real human being. (7.25 pay for 5 hours of hellish dishes was not a good deal at all) This was the heartbreaking part. Working at Dominos, the place I really did thought was amazing. The employees were nice and I was able to work somewhat at my own pace. There was rushes but got them down hard. However I worked there for... About 8 or so months, then, my general manager at the time had hired this new general manager for the store I was working at, and she wasn't nice at first. She started off as demanding and at this dementor tone. This went on for about a week. Since I had her for practically the entire week, I reported her at my manager for what she was doing and how it was affecting my line of work. EVEN at times of telling her that I working on something else and that I couldn't do this spot quite yet. She never did take it in. My manger said that he would talk to her and see how he could work it out. I did get somewhat of a lecture from her some days later. But if anything, she toned down a bit and got promoted as general manager. Things were great. But then, one day. I came in to work, I was told to come sit with them. There was some talk about how employees I was working with sent in complaints that I was "inappropriate touching". Mind you, I was not a pervert by any means. I do not like being touched myself, especially by anyone else. And that. The best course of action. Was to let me go, or fire me by other terms. This was a place that I actually didn't mind going to. I liked being able to chat to my employees and still have fun through out the shift. And they let me go for no reason? After a bit of a fight, some days later. I got a call back from my general manager. He went into actual detail of why I was fired, which was because I made a compliant towards the new general manager. And they deiced that letting me go would fix that situation. All because I stepped up for myself? I. Was. Pissed. I actually did think about taking them to court because of that. But the franchise owner instead just gave me a workers comp and told me just to head somewhere else and to use him as a reference. After that, I never got another job from that city I used to live in. I just focused on my education and graduated and deiced to move back to my home country (Which was Germany!) I now got a job working as a freelancer for other companies and I am doing well, I am currently majoring in Cyber Security and planning on working in high paying company, I live with my grandparents and actually had made enough to where I could. Get my own place but rather chose to stay and keep saving. Thanks or Danke for reading or listing to my story. Apologies for some misspelling's or off punctuation. English hasn't been my first language, but I I kept learning and improving.
I hope you're doing well now. Never give up. My son was laid off six months ago due to the downturn in the economy. He is very skilled in the tech industry but still looking for another job. God bless you.
I was just fired from my job of 6 years out of the blue for no reason. When he told me it was time to part ways I simply said "Okay that's fine if thats what you want" apparently after I was gone he held a meeting where he mentioned he was upset he didn't get more out of me, he wanted me to beg to keep my job.
Same I’m only 17 and I got no explanation why I was fired but for some reason I didn’t care. I left gracefully with a big smile after I handed my uniform:)
I got fired today and couldn't help but cry in front of my boss, didn't even wait until after I left. I was just so caught off guard and wasn't expecting to get fired though I know it's my fault. It's so embarrassing and I wish this video would have showed up on my feed 24 hours ago bc now it's too late and what's done is done. /:
From personal experience, getting fired is not the end of the world. At first you feel empty, worthless, you blame yourself. This is natural. Sometimes getting fired is really nothing to do with you, but the 'politics; of the organisation or the fact someone does not like you. But getting fired really can open up new doors and put you on a much better career trajectory. After being fired I am now working for myself in the same field I was fired from, earning in the process 6 times the amount of money per month I was getting paid. Getting fired from my old job inadvertently was the best thing that could have happened to me career wise. Of course when you get fired there are challenges...how you are going to pay your bills etc, but ultimately it could and probably will turn out to be the best thing ever.
Your video is very helpful. I was let go from the best job I've ever had recently, and I wasn't sure what to say to my next employer. Now I feel like I know what I need to say. Thank you.
Great video, I’m 23 and I work in healthcare/ office setting. I don’t know how to fully react or maneuver the office in a politically correct way so what I do is I hop on youtube/google and research situations I am going through so that I can handle them correctly. I was recently let go from an employer after 3 months of temp and then 1 month permanent because I was respectfully sticking up for myself when I was being bullied and talking to my manager about it. It’s nice to know that when I was fired I ddi the right thing.
I was being treated unfairly at my job so I spoke out and the lady who treated me bad told my manager that I threatened her when I didn’t and I got fired. Fortunately I have my business as back up and I’m going to continue to scale my business.
This is great advice, although it is very hard to stay positive. It’s so easy to let your emotions get out of control and say something you might regret later.. when this happened to me, I literally smiled the whole time, made no excuses, said a lot of “oh I completely understand”, cracked a few jokes and even shook a few hands. During this meeting, the HR person was literally shaking from anxiety and I felt it was up to me to make this a more comfortable situation. It’s hard to get fired, but also hard to fire someone. I like my job, but… shit happens!!
The thing is when you get fired after the first day it makes 0 sense because I did the 2 task they told me to do and I received great compliments ? Their loss because I was meant to work in a better place🙌🏼 I followed your tips and sent the boss an email expressing my gratitude even working for a day even though I felt all kinds of emotions. You just have to have faith in your own capabilities👏🏼!
@@ahmadbandukwala2003 exactly! Just remember it is their loss not yours and you are meant to be in a much better work place. Just give huge thanks to them because now you know that was a shady environment 👏🏼👏🏼
This is very good advice on how to take the high road after a job termination. I was a very positive worker who got terminated due to Covid-19: (Company lost 5 million due to Covid-19). My salary was the highest and I'm 70 years old. I think both of these factors influenced my termination. Loved my job but I feel that I could not return to that position after what has transpired. I am in the process of putting my life back on track in a positive way. There is a bit of resentment I am feeling but learning to deal with it. Good luck to all those who's careers may be affected by Covid-19.
I got fired today…while I was still in training. I was so upset that I emailed the CEO. I wish I would’ve handled it differently after watching this video.
😅 you and me. I was fired just this week. I received an email and didn't know how to respond coz at first I was in a shock. I'm the kind that process my thoughts before speaking up but my colleagues had adviced that by keeping quiet, I looked guilty of all allegations made up on me. So I sent an email that spoke my mind and I would say it wasn't very kind. Maybe I'll do a follow up mail to thank them for the opportunity and redeem my not so good talks. Meanwhile I'm locked in the house and don't know what to do with all the time in my hands. May some opportunity locate me soon 🙏. It's well with my heart.
Thank goodness I have followed all 3 suggestions. I hope the company I was fired from affords me the same courtesy and respect of not badmouthing me as I have done for them.
I was fired Friday. Too stunned and smarting a bit there, I'm going to write my supervisor a letter thanking him for the nice things that happened to me this last year. I need positive closure. I hope all turned out well for you.

this was a good video. it helped me realize the point you made about not being a good fit for the company. my work was slacking recently because i genuinely lost interest in the work. i felt upset when i got the email saying their "going in a different direction" but i feel better after watching this video. its time for me to go in a better direction too 🤘

I've been fired three times, the first one for being late a lot, the second one from COVID lockdown and the most recent one was due to slow sales, no one was buying the products and the company had to cut expenses.
This was solid good information. I wish I saw this yesterday. I was let go after working so hard and never coached and barely trained. However I did write an email to them which after watching this video, I may have refrained from mentioning a few things. My email was very poignant, assertive and I championed myself in a self dignifying way. I felt very let down but your words will help me at least speak to this experience with more positivity. Tku
Do not fret, Marie. I believe we can be let go for many reasons, and not because we are poor performers. Some will be dying for you to get booted out the door....because you make them....look bad. There are many scenarios. I hope you've found a safe and satisfying space to work in.
very hard to stay positive and not be defensive when no reason is given. I think more managers actually don't care as much as you think. I've been put in a position were I have to request a reason - if feels like I've done something illegal. I actually learned nothing of significance but I do take your point that it is important to be be dignified and express gratitude
Yeah I just got let go yesterday from my warehouse job, made a dumb mistake at work on Monday and I was having a dispute with another employee and almost fought him but other ppl were holding us back, even he’s getting dealt with but I can’t know how the superiors say but it was an honor working there with most of the guys and learning about the transport industry for 5 months, now time to move forward and never look back, hope ion have the see the other guy again and it was so much for a first job lol!!!

Blue collar job when fired . Admit nothing , sign nothing , keep cool gather info and be ready to fight like mad and gather evidence or subpoena for the unemployment appeal hearing .
This is pretty bad advice, don't pretend like you loved working there if you didn't. Be genuine, not a people pleaser. You got fired, forget it, move on, whoever is in the past was never your friend or ally.
I got fire today and I did exactly the same , show gratitude and telling the boss that I wish them the best in the company. And to be honest I don’t feel bad at all cause I will have time now for myself and get the Chan to learn new things
The one time I got fired I cursed my boss out told him he was a lonely miserable prick and that I was gonna go get a real job, then refused to return my key so he had to pay hundreds of dollars to change all the locks... MUAHAHAHAHHA
I just got fired today from a psych ward I had water thrown on me I got called a c**t and I lashed out at the patient I wasn't able to tell my side of the story it was a done deal I just snapped, I hold the keys to the psych ward I'm thinking about keeping it
Pretty sure anyone watxbing this vid is doing so bc they got fired or are on their way. I’m having a tough time with my own termination as it came out for the blue after 7 years. Going to collect my things today (it just happened Friday) and I’m not excited at all but I’ll get through this. I’ve learned a lot in this whole experience and I’ll continue learning as time passes. I didn’t do anything egregious but new management came in and wanted no trace of what was before she entered the position.
For me, the catalyst that ended with my termination was that I got a scam call during my lunch break. It involved 3 separate scammers and I was gullible enough to believe them, which led me to make some pretty stupid decisions that broke company policy. The company and I didn't lose any money, but it did cost me my position, which sucks because I really enjoyed that job and working with my fellow staff. Luckily, my manager and I personally left on a more positive note and she even wished me luck in the future. In the end, I take full responsibility and learned a hard lesson. I'll have to work harder now to move forward but I can rest knowing that it could've been worse.
This video kept me from saying some regrettable things on LinkedIn and to the individuals who fired me. Thank you for sharing this, I will share it with anybody I know who gets fired. Hopefully I never have to share this.

Hello, I am immigrant. 3 year in New York, Since I left before my job in May of last year, I went to 3 places and got fired. However, I realized that it was not a job problem, it was that you did not follow People have a good relationship or you are not a super flattering problem, or it is an ethnic problem, or your former employer said bad things about you behind your back. You can find a better place to work. I used to work in my country. No one has ever been fired at a time, some people just like to deliberately let you down
Got laid off and I started to cry but then I realized that I should be grateful. During my time in that company I learned so much and I worked with smart and awesome people. Sadly my job was outsourced to India and I got laid off. This company is giving me a great Severance package. I could use that money and my savings to work on my own business. I don’t want to be a programmer anymore. I’m tired of being in a seat 8 hours and have a sedentary life. I’m becoming a personal trainer and my husband told me he supports me.
Excommunication in absentia happens all the time, and its rarely to do with fitting in, which is bad/poor group dynamics. Most Managers are just at best quite good at administration, but are always poor leaders eg: not natural people lovers.
Im 16 and got my first job at starbucks, was working there 6 months with no issues until one day my shift supervisor made me sweep the floor for 4 hours straight for no reason. My arm was hurting and I checked the time on my phone and he straight up told me to go home and “not come back until I was ready to work” and that “everybody thought I always slacked off”. The funny thing is, I constantly went out of my way to go above and beyond and help coworkers and never got any kind of conversation like that beforehand. I had to work with him a couple shifts after and realized I couldn’t do it, and to prevent myself from potentially being fired I put in my two weeks
I got fired from my job, cause I made a big mistake but I did great things for the company and I loved it I was making money there… so it’s getting hard to get over it cause I ruined it, I just didn’t see any growth there, I was a bartender and I am good at it.
Its really hard to stay positive when you are being treated unfairly

Fuck yes……
I was let go from my job today for apparantly "not being up to the standards expected from their employees", despite the fact that some of the things they expect wasn't made clear during my time there. It was the first time I was ever fired from a job, which kinda sucks, but that's okay because I tried my best, and it was their decision at the end of the day. I know that something better is on the horizon, so let's do this....
The whole "not being up to standards" is weasel words in my opinion. Those types of companies usually play favorites. lol
Great attitude. Yes something better is always on the horizon.
Yep for sure - something better is on the horizon for you. Hopefully by now you've landed something new.

Exactly. The ones we were let go from we usually weren’t happy at anyway. You look back and realize thank god I no longer deal with that anymore.
Usually the worst jobs are the ones that won't fire you
👍👍👍👍
Unfortunately, whether it was a "good" thing or not, is entirely dependent on whether something better is available.
In the mean time, getting fired at all permanently taints a person in all future job searching. Recruiting processes all demand to know, "have you ever been fired from anything?" It's a stigma you can never erase.
Because of that, it would be so much better to have proactively found that less toxic work environment already, and be the one to make the current toxic environment go away by your own choice.
Yeah i do feel the same, just like free from evil clutches, finally can sleep peacefully😂
It's hard to not to lash out. When your boss doesn't give u a real reason for why they're firing you.

Good luck! 😊🙌

I agree. I’d never tell a new potential employer I was fired. I’d say it wasn’t a fit and I wasn’t happy there.

Damn, me too.... my first professional job, was dismissed 2 months ago..... I feel a little better knowing that we don't all get our "firsts" right.😊
I got fired from a job I hated and the next day I was granted a call for my dream job. Life always has a way of working out for you.
I had been dreaming of starting my own business and RUclips for years but was held back by

I pray you're doing well. I just got fired today, and I'm overwhelmed.
(7.25 pay for 5 hours of hellish dishes was not a good deal at all)
This was the heartbreaking part.
I just focused on my education and graduated and deiced to move back to my home country (Which was Germany!)
I now got a job working as a freelancer for other companies and I am doing well, I am currently majoring in Cyber Security and planning on working in high paying company, I live with my grandparents and actually had made enough to where I could. Get my own place but rather chose to stay and keep saving. Thanks or Danke for reading or listing to my story.

I hope all the people who commented here found better opportunities🙏🏼

So glad I was able to hold my composure and say nice things and express gratitude. Hopefully that leaves a positive impression with the company
I am looking forward to what’s ahead even though at this very moment I feel like I was punched in the chest. I did love the company and my job. I was dedicated and loyal. I’ve got a solid skill set and I will make it through.
That's the thing wish all these companies, they don't ever care about the hard work and loyalty. How scummy
that's bad news but good luck and remember loyalty and dedication normally doesn't count for anything when a company is looking at it's bottom line!
@@italianstallion9170 Doing well. Started my own company and I’ve been very busy so I’m happy. Get to work from home and be my own boss so things worked out.
Excellent advice as always. You never know who you'll end up working with in the future.
very hard to stay positive and not be defensive when no reason is given.
I was let go today for standing up for myself and refusing to keep working double duty in 2 different departments, way too much stress. Am glad actually.
So, if I get fired just for doing it once then I'm pretty sure I smell bs

Great video - this was a huge blessing in tough times. Thanks Don.
I got fired today. I have a meeting with the general manger tomorrow as I requested to speak to him on why I am being fired.
Just got fired today. This video is very helpful.
I was fired yesterday, kept it professional, and wished them well even gave a hug. I knew I was doing my best. I didnt cry I was moreso sad but I ate the ice cream this morning before watching this video. 😂 I learned a lot and am a better person, and this employer will look great on my resume. I know that it wasn't personal. I am disappointed but accept it and am trying to get past the emotional place I am in.
I’m 23 and I just got fired from my first job in tech sales. Thanks for the video.
Got fired yesterday. I needed this. Thank you.
Blue collar job when fired . Admit nothing , sign nothing , keep cool gather info and be ready to fight like mad and gather evidence or subpoena for the unemployment appeal hearing .
You are right about keeping it positive thank you for the advice
This is truly the best advice for what to do after getting fired that I have found so far! Thank you :)
I get treated like shit from bosses and I get angry 💢😡 don't let these companies and corporations think to disrespect you. Hell no 😒
This is pretty bad advice, don't pretend like you loved working there if you didn't. Be genuine, not a people pleaser. You got fired, forget it, move on, whoever is in the past was never your friend or ally.
Exactly what I plan to do today at my meeting. Thank you!
I got fire today and I did exactly the same , show gratitude and telling the boss that I wish them the best in the company. And to be honest I don’t feel bad at all cause I will have time now for myself and get the Chan to learn new things
Mann fuk that and then that can go to hell
The one time I got fired I cursed my boss out told him he was a lonely miserable prick and that I was gonna go get a real job, then refused to return my key so he had to pay hundreds of dollars to change all the locks... MUAHAHAHAHHA
Nice I got fired today and went off on my boss too, punched a locker and dented it tho lol

Got fired from a great opportunity job for minor shoplifting of various snacks, I felt so bad the entire time and I definitely wont be doing anything like that again
Thank you for this fresh perspective. I needed it.

Hate to say it, but I might get fired tomorrow or Wednesday
Did you get fired,😔

Same here
Same tomorrow ,they will tell me if I will get or not...
Excommunication in absentia happens all the time, and its rarely to do with fitting in, which is bad/poor group dynamics. Most Managers are just at best quite good at administration, but are always poor leaders eg: not natural people lovers.

I got fired over the phone, I know the reasons why I was not meeting my targets and they disliked my personality.
I just got a new job and i am here watching videos of what if i get fired, damn my confidence is up there 😂
Im 16 and got my first job at starbucks, was working there 6 months with no issues until one day my shift supervisor made me sweep the floor for 4 hours straight for no reason.
I was a driver coordinator.
Got fired today because I was too good with the drivers and all of them wanted to work on my shift...
I got fired from my job, cause I made a big mistake but I did great things for the company and I loved it I was making money there… so it’s getting hard to get over it cause I ruined it, I just didn’t see any growth there, I was a bartender and I am good at it.
I pray you're doing well.
This video is exactly the advice I needed to hear to move forward

Because in my situation they Don't like me.
😂I got fired from a sleazy pizza shop today 🤦🏾 bcuz
