Just watched up to 3:15 and got inspired enough to go tackle the dishes in the sink! I have a child, so I rinsed and he stooped to load the dishwasher. Yay! It felt good till it didn't, but by then we were done. I haven't seen the rest yet, but in case it's not mentioned, I've found sweeping works better while sitting in a chair😳😂
It may seem like a the world is ending with your diagnosis - but it is actually really good that you are getting diagnosed so young. You will have a much better chance of getting it under control before adulthood. I first went to a cardiologist at 16 due to chest pains and shortness of breath during high intensity cardio and I was told that I was completely fine and that it was just overexertion. I then ended up going to a doctor about another half dozen times over the next decade for various issues related to POTS including extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, mind fog ect. Every time I was told that I was physiologically completely normal - sometimes I was told that my Heart Rate was a little high but within normal physiological limits. None of the doctors cared enough to do further evaluation beyond an ECG (while lying down) or standard heart measurements (from a seated position) before declaring that I was physically healthy and that my symptoms must all be in my head I.e. anxiety / depression and nothing physiological. It was only after a complete breakdown of my physical health in 2022 (and doctors once again telling me that nothing was wrong with me) that I bought equipment to start monitoring and evaluating my own health. It was immediately obvious that there was a serious problem as my heart rate would skyrocket the 80’s to between the 130’s and 150’s immediately upon standing. I was shocked because the issue was glaringly obvious as soon as I started looking into it myself - and I was angry at how the medical system had gaslighted me for a decade. I had to take some serious measures and am also on a small daily dose of propranolol and doing cardio every day - but my orthostatic heart rate is now generally below 100 and my energy is coming back to me more and more every day. I wish you the best of luck in your journey, it won’t be easy, but education is your best friend and you may have to figure some things out for yourself unless your parents get you a specialist - as general practitioners often aren’t very educated on POTS.
I work out during chores also lol. Squats arm stretches etc to keep my body moving. Chores can be so hard and if I force myself to do it I end up with an asthma attack coughing vomiting etc.
@@Aimee_Esther Do you have the link to the Dyson vacuum cleaner? Thank you kindly in advance. I truly appreciate your videos. They help a great deal. Thank you so much.
@@thankyoudoris amzn.to/3jKQLGq Here's a link to the one that I have! I made this video a few years ago. I still love that vacuum so much and use it everyday !!
OMG if I did the knee bends like that not only would I Black out but it would take 3-4 days to get over the Fatigue Syndrome, you must be on a very good meditation, I take Beta Blocker but have to take the lowest dose because I’m so sensitive to the medication, I’m in bed 24/7 or in my Transport chair, even sitting I can’t sit for very long, I’m amazed with all the things you can do, Thank God for My Husband he does everything now plus fix food which is very hard for me to eat because I have zero appetite 😔
Good tips!! I'll have to try bending down a bit differently and see if it helps. Explaining WHY bending down creates a problem was good. I didn't know that. Nice vacuum!! LOL, my hubby just got us the same one for Christmas. I love that thing! The old, bulky, heavy vacuum was so exhausting to use, I dreaded having to run it. Now it's no big deal.
Don't forget the tips to less stuff dirty while cooking, that definetely helps not having a tone of dishes or dirty surfaces. I always try to remember to have a bowl or plate nearby to throw away the veggies peelings and not have them all over the counter, use oven paper to avoid sticky burned stains and im planning on getting a robot vacuum because I just can't put my head up and down under my bed and I have a bunny in my room.
literally watching this so i can get moving out cleaning done without presyncope (or full blown fainting/syncope, honestly) right now because i want to be helpful instead of sitting the whole time 😭😭
Today I had a bad tachycardia day heart rate jumped from 64 to 169 and took hours to drop past 100. Have not been diagnosed with pots yet. I have been hospitalized twice now for tachycardia and passed out a few times.
If i were you id just treat yourself as if you have pots. You can treat it with no medications. Get some compression socks, drink lots of water and electrolytes, increase your salt and weight lift. Avoid cardio, standing activities and heat. See if it helps your symptoms! I even sit in the shower mine gets so bad.
There’s still some Drs who doesn’t recognize POTS, I’m very Fortunate as soon as I told my Dr my systems he told me what I had plus I get Epstein Barr Virus real often now, so with 2-3 more illnesses it makes POTS so much worse, you may have to see a couple of Drs to get the right diagnosis, Good Luck 🙏🏼
Living in a place without space for a walker or wheelchair, two kids, pregnant and undiagnosed heart problem (plus other medical issues). I just made our bed, and I was doubled over to do it and it made me lose all my breath and head pounding. My house is a wreck, I feel like a failure. SO works over time and rarely has time off, so it's on me as a SAHM. :(
You need to keep up on it. That's my number 1 tip. Do little bits every day to avoid a future disaster. if you struggle to get it cleaned up, check to see how much stuff you have. Do you need to declutter? The more stuff you have the messier it gets (and faster). Minimalism or something similar is life changing when you lack the physical energy. If it gets bad enough that you can't get it under control, hire cleaners or professional organizers to get it done. (Either pay for it with you physical energy or your money, you are paying for it either way. It's your choice!). Get it done and then keep it up every single day! You got this!! :)
This is great. I also love that your puppy is named Azula.

How do you do it with leg weakness? Cause with my POTs, i have severe leg weakness to where i end up falling because my legs give out on me. 😢

Wow 🎉
That first bend over to put a dish in would’ve had me fallen over…

I have the hardest time with laundry
But what about when you're house a complete disaster bc you couldn't keep up and it just keeps coming 🙄

Omg we do laundry the same way. I'm weird tho and LOVE laundry hahahaa
TEACH ME!!!
@@Aimee_Esther I think I just did it so much my own way that now I get a big sense of accomplishment when it's done & that makes me like it hahaha
I struggle with laundry sooo much because the constant shuffle and moving makes me nauseated.
Laundry is hard for me
