The only reason the series took such a dive is due to the director's sordid past... also paint's the Creeper in a new light considering most of his victims are young men and children... not so much as an in canon twist as it is a film driven introspective into the director's own void of a soul. It's sad when art suffers the cruelty of it's maker!

Interesting, but whoever wrote this doesn't know anything about Aztec culture, they didn't sacrifice their own people at random, they usually sacrificed enemy combatants and condemned criminals. And they didn't sacrifice people to the serpent, they sacrificed to there sungod who was also the God of War. as well as that City that he finds those ruins in that is not the Aztec city that is teotihuacan which was built about a thousand years before the Aztec build their capital city of tenochtitlan in the 13th century.

Honestly, what makes the creeper so epic is the amount of theories of what it could be. I always thought about what a good concept it would be if they did a movie or series going through previous cycles of the creeper. No explanation or origin story. Just the Creeper doing what it does.
The opening scene had to be at the end of the previous feeding cycle in the 70's when he lost his hand (Shown during the opening of 3 as a flashback). The movies go in order 1, 3, and then 2. The Kreeper got his hand back at the end of 3 and destroyed it and his entire body was pinned to the wall by then end of 2 which was the last time we saw him chronologically. There is NO other time when the creature was missing a hand at the end of the feeding cycle.

Hello. I am a new subbie.I hope you do not mind my long thoughts lol. I enjoy exploring the themes and the analysis of movies. I enjoy the Jeepers Creepers story line. After watching movies 1 &2, I was still curious as to what this creature was and where it came from. I decided to go on RUclips and looked at the uncut versions of 1 &2 and in JC 2 uncut, deceased Darius was taking this girl on a tour talking about a war that broke out and the dead bodies were shown as skeletons with their swords and helmets still on. This war involved the Creeper. If I can recall, it was this metal shield shown of a creature on it. I would have to go back and look, but the Creeper existed for a long time. I also saw a part in JC 1 were the Creeper made a statement to Darius before he threw the old lady to the side with the cats lol. Again, these are the uncut versions on RUclips. As far as the Creeper talking, I mean , if he can whistle , I'm not against him talking. It's very interesting to see in JC 1 where Trish is telling the Creeper to take her instead of her brother. The long stare the Creeper gave, I believe he understood what was being said. So, this tells me the Creeper is not like some kind of animal that does not understand. He is very keen and is aware of what he lacks as far as body parts. He is half man, half creature and in this comic book, a god that is worshiped and feared. However, the Creeper is limited in his power. As we noticed in JC 1 &2, he only goes after those who are weak to him, not those who do not fear him. JC2 as we saw when he was selecting those in the bus and taking Darius instead of Trish,says alot about the Creeper's strength. In JC3, I was very disappointed, but I did like certain parts. For example, the hand and what it revealed. It seems JC was very upset when he/it read the note that they knew who he was. If hes so powerful, why would he care who knows about him? For him/it to scream like that after reading that note, lol, that tells me that he knows he can be defeated and his time is limited or almost up. I hope there is a part 4 that is not done like JC3. I hope they could make him look the same like in JC 1 &2 , not him running and flying around like a guy with tar makeup or as if he's a brother from The Hills have Eyes clan lol. I hope Trish defeats the Creeper once and for all. I hope we get the questions we been asking answered in a possible JC4. I do want the old cast members to come back. The psychic who knew about Darius tattoo holds significance to me . I hope she comes back and I hope they all survive. I think the idea of the Creeper being a type of Dragon God or a demigod of sorts is a far more interesting origin story than him being a simple demon. This is what I think happened: The Creeper was originally a fearsome Aztec warrior and king who wanted to be immortal like the gods were. He believed that if he consumed the heart of a god that would make him forever immortal. He went to a sacred temple where the heart of Quetzalcoatl (the serpent god) was kept. Once he found the heart he consumed it, thinking he had finally gained immortality. However the spirit of the god was merely dormant and now it found a living human host. It became a part of him, body & soul. Kinda like a symbiotic relationship of sorts. As for the crows? It's said in Aztec mythology that a number of animals serve or represent Quetzalcoatl, one of which are crows. Now for why spring is it's feeding cycle? That's debatable, it's possible that Quetzalcoatl was offered up human sacrifices mainly during spring (as it is the season of renewal) But those are just my thoughts and opinions.

The only good part of 3, was the Sheriff who was hunting the Creeper. And it was a complete waste to kill him the way they did. I think an interesting idea would be to reveal that whoever came in contact with the Creeper’s hand, is now psychically linked with him. The sheriff’s Body is dead, but now lives within the creeper like Justin Long’s character, and has to fight him internally.
The Creeper is my fav horror character and its a shame no one has invested into the story more over the years. But then again, the eerie ties btw the creeper and the creator of the story kinda gives me an idea why ppl may be apprehensive but at the end of the day, the story of this guy is SO ORIGINAL and epic. I would put him alongside Predators and Aliens as far as franchise value/potential

The Aztecs didn’t do human sacrifices as if it was nothing. For one, most of the Gods did not demand sacrifices. A small portion did. And in some cases it was voluntary and in others they were executions for criminals. Quetzalcoatl was not among them. In fact that God and the human king named after him were both against the sacrifices. He was a God of light and enlightenment. God who taught humans mathematics and sciences. The God who demanded sacrifices was his brother Tezcatlipoca. A God of blood and cannibalism. His name means “Our Lord the Flayed One” because he wore the skins of his enemies. There was an Aztec Bat God who was the God of the Dead named Camazotz. That would have been a more interesting choice for the origin of the Creeper. Even though he was also not an evil God. But appearance wise, Camazotz would have been a more logical choice for the Creeper.
I think he's more of a demon than a dragon, even if he resembles one. Can't wait for part 4 to come out this year and show that he can finally talk after all :)

This is an interesting concept I could see the creature having roots that way somehow in the movie that would be great sometimes it's better to leave things a mystery but if you're going to unravel a theory it has to be well put together they did it super well this is my theory he was cast out of heaven hence the metal shield and sword in depictions One of the fallen Angels he was cast down that is why he has bloodlust rage supernatural powers jealous of human beings that is why he attacks people savage monster the franchise does not get credit it deserves because people are freaked out by monsters
THEORY: what if the creeper is a fallen angel like how they did with The Strain mythology of where the strigoi worms came from. He has to consume human parts not just to rejuvenate his body but to actually remain on the mortal plane. And his weapons are all enchanted by him or even parts from his own body and thats why he can command them telepathically. Ik thats what confused me in JC3. But if hes an actual Fallen Angel turned Demon or The Devil in Flesh, it would def fill in a lot of plot holes set by the 3rd film. Would also explain the cult aspects for the new film

He even take it with him after at the end of the first jeepers creepers. He have a short of amount time to eat before the potion wares off. that stuff transform him into what he is even after it is worn off. He is still in that form. Because he been drinking it so long his body don't turn back into his once human form

Why is such an iconic and really terrifying monster. been absolutely butchered in recent films.
The Aztecs didn’t do human sacrifices as if it was nothing. For one, most of the Gods did not demand sacrifices. A small portion did. And in some cases it was voluntary and in others they were executions for criminals. Quetzalcoatl was not among them.
In fact that God and the human king named after him were both against the sacrifices. He was a God of light and enlightenment. God who taught humans mathematics and sciences. The God who demanded sacrifices was his brother Tezcatlipoca. A God of blood and cannibalism.
His name means “Our Lord the Flayed One” because he wore the skins of his enemies. There was an Aztec Bat God who was the God of the Dead named Camazotz. That would have been a more interesting choice for the origin of the Creeper. Even though he was also not an evil God. But appearance wise, Camazotz would have been a more logical choice for the Creeper.

Jeepers creepers reborn was a load of rubbish. He didn't creep you out. I laughed all through the film. The acting was diabolical. No wonder it flopped.

This is an interesting concept I could see the creature having roots that way somehow in the movie that would be great sometimes it's better to leave things a mystery but if you're going to unravel a theory it has to be well put together they did it super well this is my theory he was cast out of heaven hence the metal shield and sword in depictions One of the fallen Angels he was cast down that is why he has bloodlust rage supernatural powers jealous of human beings that is why he attacks people savage monster the franchise does not get credit it deserves because people are freaked out by monsters

THEORY: what if the creeper is a fallen angel like how they did with The Strain mythology of where the strigoi worms came from. He has to consume human parts not just to rejuvenate his body but to actually remain on the mortal plane. And his weapons are all enchanted by him or even parts from his own body and thats why he can command them telepathically. Ik thats what confused me in JC3. But if hes an actual Fallen Angel turned Demon or The Devil in Flesh, it would def fill in a lot of plot holes set by the 3rd film. Would also explain the cult aspects for the new film

I saw this comic at my comic store few weeks ago,it's ashame bout 3rd 🎥 hope the 4th one has some good shock value like the first film.
anybody can see he is a man that drinks a potions. When darius fell down the pipe. Once he starts walking through the basement. The light from the flashlight hits the bottles. He even take it with him after at the end of the first jeepers creepers. He have a short of amount time to eat before the potion wares off. that stuff transform him into what he is even after it is worn off. He is still in that form. Because he been drinking it so long his body don't turn back into his once human form
Those are not potions they are preserving chemicals for the bodies on the walls.
