The writers will simply employ the common 80s trope of a group of drunk teenagers going out the farm after Dark and stealing the carcass on the night of the anniversary it's supposed to come back to life.

I wish they never made a part 3... I was so excited to hear about the part 3 I waited awhile for it and when it came I wanted to just die.... It's terrible it's like a Syfy movie that had a budget of 2 dollars. One and two were consistent and they fit together but this 3 one is just terrible.

The Creeper was such a let down to me in 3. I think putting him on full display in broad daylight was a HUGE mistake. Part of what was so scary was that when it was dark it looked like pieces of him were cut out because his features were obscured, like what he did to his victims. And our imaginations have to fill in the blanks. I also REALLY hate the hints of him being a fallen Angel or Lucifer or whatever. I’m so TIRED of that plot line in movies. I remember there was one scene when a character said something ridiculous and then he looked at the camera and I laughed because I thought for sure it was “a freakin really moment??” And then it cuts to a car driving up. Probably my favorite part.

My main issue is how they changed up the Creeper's personality. In 1 and 2, he was a cold, calculated predator. He messed with people for fun, just to scare them, and personally picking his victims out and ignoring others that didn't interest him. In movie 3, he pretty much just becomes a mindless beast, killing almost everyone he comes across whether he had interest in them or not, losing most of his original edge. I also hate the added features to the truck. The spikes and spears just kind of make it a bit tacky. The one good thing I will say about this is that his character is chaotic evil in #3, and that's kinda funny.

They had intended a whole different movie back in 2006, which really sounded worse than what we got in 3, so it went through rewrites over and over...then the whole scandal with Silva really took a hit...so they scrambled together to finish what he had to set up part 4.

honestly when i heard of a 3rd Jeepers Creepers movie, i was really hoping for a prequel/origin movie, like how did it come to be, its first batch of victims, how the first people aware of it reacted, did it show up in the US first or was it originally from Europe, that sort of thing, but instead that hope turned to disappointment with it being another repeated sequel, obvious budget cut, and a clear form of cash cow milking on a possibly good monster series that has now turned to dust.

I think this movie disappointed many fans of the franchise, especially considering the extreme gap between the previous film's release and this one's. The majority of characters lack a good amount of personality or substance, which is something a horror film has to have if the characters are going to be liked by the audience. If the characters are unlikable, then their deaths won't really trigger the emotion that's supposed to be felt during films of this genre; it makes the movie feel less authentic and eliminates a large portion of the fear factor that should be coming into play. I also believe that the Creeper was severely out of character. In the first two parts of the series, the Creeper is portrayed as a clever and sneaky killer, using the darkness and environment to his advantage and relying on his own skills. This movie made him out to be a reckless, stupid brute and his van and random devices seem to be more dangerous than he is (considering he got speared in the head by his own trap). My biggest disappointment was the scene where Danny and the Creeper are facing off. He's running through the field with an axe in his hand like he forgot he can fly, not to mention that this was shot in bright daylight or the mediocre special effects. I can't be the only one who saw this and thought "Seriously?" This had the potential to be the memorable event of the entire movie, and it just turned out poorly. Share your thoughts.
I 100% agree that the daytime shots took away a lot. I appreciated the creature's design and loved being able to see it fully in the light, but not having all those dark shots like in the originals made it feel cheap and out of place.

I honestly believe that the magic of the first one happened because we didn't know anything about the Creeper. We didn't even get that much clear imagery of him. He was this mysterious creature that was attacking everything in its path and no one knew who he was or what he wanted. Follow up movies just weakened why everyone enjoyed the first movie. That paired with the fact that every movie afterwards was more poorly written with lower budgets than the previous one equals this series being destroyed with the 3rd and 4th movies. If someone with a well written script and clear vision of the movie and a good budget made a 5th movie with no ties to the previous four to revamp the series it could save it, much like the last Wrong Turn movie. Idk though, I am not a professional movie goer lol.

It was still lazy af. Who would give a damn about school, work, or playing in some damn high school game after realising flying cannibalistic demon creatures are real and one just killed about a dozen or more people in town. Would he not even talk about the scariest night of his life w the others on the bus going to the game? Why would they not know already anyway? It doesnt look like a very large city or town. I lived in small towns most of my life and one thing is certain: word gets around quick. I can't talk to a pretty girl in the morning without someone that evening asking me about my conversation. So a cannibalistic flying demon creature who killed probably a 3rd of the town's population going unnoticed by all on the bus is stupid and lame. This movie was just a cash grab and nothing more. Taggard dies right before or when the feeding cycle begins and the lady that knows the creatures secrets does her research on the killings and somehow finds out about Trish they soon team up to find him because the secrets led the lady to know where his next feeding would take place
In my small town it was common knowledge passed down from our parents that the gas station scene in the first movie was filmed near our town along with the car chase scene. That and one of the Elvis Movies was filmed on our courthouse. The most amazing thing to happen to our town lol

I feel like that, if they get a different director, they should try a period piece about one of The Creeper's past feasts. I would love to see him during an early era of settlers and natives, with the native peoples of course knowing all about The Creeper (and possible ways to ward him) while the settlers know nothing and don't believe a single word about it until suddenly they all start dropping like flies. Could even be where he gets his hat and coat, being trophies from others who tried to defeat him.

I have a theory that the people who he keeps alive in his truck while he's "busy" is done on purpose because the boobie traps firing off when they try to escape makes them more afraid, saturating them with more fear that the Creeper loves. That is all intentional if he didn't have to kill them before bringing them back to his truck because I noticed most of his victims he takes alive.

You did the best breakdown of one of my all time favorite horror-movie series. BTW, I really like all three films (I'm probably the only person in the world who does).
First part was so scary... Because the Creeper was mysterious. Second was a bit worst - the less mystery, the more worse it looks. This one is a straight up trash movie, I fully expect the Toxic Avenger to make a cameo in the next one.
I liked this film, I thought it has some very cool scenes and yes the romance teen thing was a bit bland but overall the film had enough cool scenes to make it watchable.. Remember it's a low budget movie that had to have most of the scenes shot in the day because lighting would be to expensive for night time shooting. I think this would have been better as a t.v. four part series but I'd watch it again.
@@themadclown4077 low budget is anything under 1 1/2 to 2 million I'm sure of it.. The 1st film cost 10 million to make and it was done really well as was the 2nd which cost 17 million. I'm pretty sure the 3rd was on a much lower budget. I thought the 3rd was a good little b - movie monster flick and is nowhere near as bas as what others were making out. As I said it was the best monster horror flick that year and if not then please show me one better. The 3rd was just a taster to lead us to the 4th and it revealed more to the characters of the creepers origins. The plot was grand and some of the scenes were fantastic.. The only part that was corny was the teen romance but take away that and the film was entertaining enough.. I loved the truck and it's supernatural abilities plus the teen bikers along with some of the amazing creeper night scenes. The old lady linked to the creeper through her dead son and finding more about the creeper through the slain hand. The cool scenes at the jail where the creeper flew off with darry. The two teens trapped in the creeper van was very well done.. The CGI was dodgy in a few areas but it was a decent film overall for a very low budget film. And anyone can watch it for free.. Just wait for the 4th and see how over produced it is just like IT and Halloween.
They need to get rid of the director (pedo guy really killed the budget of this movie) and hand the script to a good horror writer/director team. Give the creature some good lore and do another trilogy to end the series.
I'll judge a pedophile in a heart beat. You should read the backstory behind the budget to this film and how his background caused the financing to fall on this film. It's his idea, but not his property. Another talented director could've gotten the budget to make a great movie and a new trilogy. He may have done well in the first and second film but the story on this one was crap even if it had a higher budget it would''ve still been crap.

The Creeper was such a let down to me in 3. I think putting him on full display in broad daylight was a HUGE mistake. Part of what was so scary was that when it was dark it looked like pieces of him were cut out because his features were obscured, like what he did to his victims. And our imaginations have to fill in the blanks.
I also REALLY hate the hints of him being a fallen Angel or Lucifer or whatever. I’m so TIRED of that plot line in movies.
I remember there was one scene when a character said something ridiculous and then he looked at the camera and I laughed because I thought for sure it was “a freakin really moment??” And then it cuts to a car driving up. Probably my favorite part.

My main issue is how they changed up the Creeper's personality. In 1 and 2, he was a cold, calculated predator. He messed with people for fun, just to scare them, and personally picking his victims out and ignoring others that didn't interest him. In movie 3, he pretty much just becomes a mindless beast, killing almost everyone he comes across whether he had interest in them or not, losing most of his original edge. I also hate the added features to the truck. The spikes and spears just kind of make it a bit tacky. The one good thing I will say about this is that his character is chaotic evil in #3, and that's kinda funny.

honestly when i heard of a 3rd Jeepers Creepers movie, i was really hoping for a prequel/origin movie, like how did it come to be, its first batch of victims, how the first people aware of it reacted, did it show up in the US first or was it originally from Europe, that sort of thing, but instead that hope turned to disappointment with it being another repeated sequel, obvious budget cut, and a clear form of cash cow milking on a possibly good monster series that has now turned to dust.

I think this movie disappointed many fans of the franchise, especially considering the extreme gap between the previous film's release and this one's. The majority of characters lack a good amount of personality or substance, which is something a horror film has to have if the characters are going to be liked by the audience. If the characters are unlikable, then their deaths won't really trigger the emotion that's supposed to be felt during films of this genre; it makes the movie feel less authentic and eliminates a large portion of the fear factor that should be coming into play. I also believe that the Creeper was severely out of character. In the first two parts of the series, the Creeper is portrayed as a clever and sneaky killer, using the darkness and environment to his advantage and relying on his own skills. This movie made him out to be a reckless, stupid brute and his van and random devices seem to be more dangerous than he is (considering he got speared in the head by his own trap). My biggest disappointment was the scene where Danny and the Creeper are facing off. He's running through the field with an axe in his hand like he forgot he can fly, not to mention that this was shot in bright daylight or the mediocre special effects. I can't be the only one who saw this and thought "Seriously?" This had the potential to be the memorable event of the entire movie, and it just turned out poorly. Share your thoughts.

I honestly believe that the magic of the first one happened because we didn't know anything about the Creeper. We didn't even get that much clear imagery of him. He was this mysterious creature that was attacking everything in its path and no one knew who he was or what he wanted. Follow up movies just weakened why everyone enjoyed the first movie. That paired with the fact that every movie afterwards was more poorly written with lower budgets than the previous one equals this series being destroyed with the 3rd and 4th movies. If someone with a well written script and clear vision of the movie and a good budget made a 5th movie with no ties to the previous four to revamp the series it could save it, much like the last Wrong Turn movie. Idk though, I am not a professional movie goer lol.

I feel like that, if they get a different director, they should try a period piece about one of The Creeper's past feasts. I would love to see him during an early era of settlers and natives, with the native peoples of course knowing all about The Creeper (and possible ways to ward him) while the settlers know nothing and don't believe a single word about it until suddenly they all start dropping like flies. Could even be where he gets his hat and coat, being trophies from others who tried to defeat him.

I have a theory that the people who he keeps alive in his truck while he's "busy" is done on purpose because the boobie traps firing off when they try to escape makes them more afraid, saturating them with more fear that the Creeper loves. The only way to make a 4th film appealing would be if it's a prequel from 1st movie, they need to go back to night hunt scenes, the eerie dark atmosphere, the creepers song, old style like movie in general, maybe going couple hundreds years back when electricity wasn't even a thing yet...

First part was so scary... Because the Creeper was mysterious. Second was a bit worst - the less mystery, the more worse it looks. This one is a straight up trash movie, I fully expect the Toxic Avenger to make a cameo in the next one.
Don't forget Swamp Thing and Amphibian Man!
I liked this film, I thought it has some very cool scenes and yes the romance teen thing was a bit bland but overall the film had enough cool scenes to make it watchable.. Remember it's a low budget movie that had to have most of the scenes shot in the day because lighting would be to expensive for night time shooting.
I think this would have been better as a t.v. four part series but I'd watch it again.

@@themadclown4077 low budget is anything under 1 1/2 to 2 million I'm sure of it.. The 1st film cost 10 million to make and it was done really well as was the 2nd which cost 17 million. I'm pretty sure the 3rd was on a much lower budget. I thought the 3rd was a good little b - movie monster flick and is nowhere near as bas as what others were making out. As I said it was the best monster horror flick that year and if not then please show me one better. The 3rd was just a taster to lead us to the 4th and it revealed more to the characters of the creepers origins. The plot was grand and some of the scenes were fantastic.. The only part that was corny was the teen romance but take away that and the film was entertaining enough.. I loved the truck and it's supernatural abilities plus the teen bikers along with some of the amazing creeper night scenes. The old lady linked to the creeper through her dead son and finding more about the creeper through the slain hand. The cool scenes at the jail where the creeper flew off with darry.
The two teens trapped in the creeper van was very well done.. The CGI was dodgy in a few areas but it was a decent film overall for a very low budget film. And anyone can watch it for free.. Just wait for the 4th and see how over produced it is just like IT and Halloween.

They need to get rid of the director (pedo guy really killed the budget of this movie) and hand the script to a good horror writer/director team. Give the creature some good lore and do another trilogy to end the series.
I'll judge a pedophile in a heart beat. You should read the backstory behind the budget to this film and how his background caused the financing to fall on this film. It's his idea, but not his property. Another talented director could've gotten the budget to make a great movie and a new trilogy. He may have done well in the first and second film but the story on this one was crap even if it had a higher budget it would''ve still been crap.
