  • I recently did a video about my Vulcan Omnipro 220 from Harbor Freight tools breaking down and I took it back to Harbor Freight. I made a huge mistake in that video so I am correcting the information so everyone has the absolute truth.

    Usually if it is BROKEN.. there is no restocking fee. It's only if you "don't like it". There are a LOT of people that will buy a tool and return it within 90 days (most return standards) and get a full refund. Plus they usually on put the restocking fee on their bigger ticket items.

    I think HF is really paying attention to the reviews and videos of what people saying. Hats off to ya bro, for being honest and letting everyone know what's going on with the HF warranty on a failed product.

    No harm no foul, you are under the impression as anyone would be that you're going to be charged the fee and when you got the full amount back, you made this video to correct it. Good on you. 👍 🔧

    They will only charge a restocking fee if the welder was still working and you did not like the way it worked. On damaged or warranted items there should never be a restocking fee.

  • @donaldhollums3278

    I watched the film about your welder, and I thought it odd HF would charge a fee for re-stocking a broken item.

    Harbor freight tools are cheap and they break that being said I own some and they warranty tools no problem. I am a master mechanic working fulltime most of my tools are snap on just better but they kill your wallet. 😪

    They are FULL of it they didn't NOT and I mean NOT DO THAT FOR MY DRAIN ONE AND The reason why I bought it in the 1st place is because I needed it in a pinch for a last minute drain system. I got it right out of the Box and it didn't even work. Sorry yes it did, all it did was go in reverse. They wouldn't let me take it back Because it was out of the Box and they weren't quite sure if it was in the drain or not. So I had to take it to a certain place and have they done in thing?..... nope. I bought the warranty and everything and they still are messing with me. and this was back in November! The only reason why you got what you got back from them is because you have a channel that is blasting them for other people to hear. That's putting them on front street . So .....

    Delete the original video maybe and reupload it with this little clip at the beginning so nobody can accuse you of leaving it up to misinform people who only watch that video etc.

    Everyone makes mistakes...nobody is perfect. ...but it is negligent to leave a video up on your channel which knowingly contains misinformation.

    • @RedemptionGarage
      @RedemptionGarage  4 года назад

      There is one false statement in the video that I believed to be true at the time but I still feel the actual welder breaking down is the main point of the video which is true and I feel people may be interested in that and I dont want to make a whole nother video about it so I have made the corrections in the comments amd at the beginning of the description and in the future if anyone comments about it I will let them know what happened.

      I think linking this video to the old one is a smart choice. If you just yanked down the old video it would seem shading. This shows integrity and honesty.
