    Do you think it is a good idea for Harbor Freight to release brushless tools for the Hercules line?

      Im a heavy equipment mechanic for a construction company and i have ALL Hercules cordless tools and I'm extremely pleased with them and harbor freight will replace them in store NO QUESTIONS ASKED! 20v way more power than 12 volt but the 12 volt line is great for their cordless ratchets and bit impact but for tools that need power and longevity you roll with their 20v line. Their charger will accommodate both batteries which is great. Buy one charger for all their tools!!! I ABUSE my Hercules 3/8 long reach cordless ratchet and it still works like it did the day i unboxed it and i have even misused it for manually breaking REAL tight stuff loose. Just avoid using them with long extensions cuz that eventually rounds the edges of the paws off on the ratchet head which goes for any air or cordless ratchet. No fault of Hercules. Hercules reps you can reply to this and I'd be REAL HAPPY to do the best review you've ever gotten for some free tools!!! I still need the 5" 20v cordless grinder!!!

    I love my grinder Hercules I never ever had a problem with it my charger does the same thing and it is a little inconvenient but not an issue with charging the batteries last quite some time I like the the fact that it's brushless

    Great review. As far as 20v tools, I was gonna start replacing my old Craftsman stuff with Milwaukee. I'm probably still going to. Based mostly on the chargers. The combo 12 and 20v charger. Less clutter. But, that Hercules being strong is awesome. I'm glad to see HF stepping up their game and making strong tools.

      Hercules has a 12V/20V dual charger, mix and match, quiet, no fan. I have one, like it

    Finally some Brushless tools from the Freight! FYI- it’s common when charging a lithium ion battery for the first time for that to happen with the charger. It has happened to me several times with Milwaukee and Dewalt. After the very first charge, it doesn’t happen again.

    I think it is a good idea for Hercules and Bauer to go brushless for their cordless line. I am old school and I gotta believe the that the corded grinders will work better. I hear that the cordless grinders (no matter the brand) just eats batteries. But battery tech is always getting better so I may be wrong. Great content as always.

    I have Dewalt power tools and most are made in China. As long as they do that, I will consider HF tools on a tool by tool basis even if I have mixed lines. Tools come down to long time battery life and its hard to test that.

    Good review. Keep it up.
    Based on the setup, it’s possible the motor draws air through the bottom vents and blows it out the top. I could be wrong. Just speculation.

    • @BKD70
      @BKD70 3 года назад +1

      That is EXACTLY what it does. Draws in clean air from the bottom, up through the handle and out the front.

    Again, no guard but mine works very well with a 7 inch cutoff wheel. I haven't tried a 7 inch grinding wheel. Personally I want the paddle switch that you have to hold. I want it to shut off if my hand slips. If you really want to see what this grinder can do, you need to get the extreme duty battery.

    They got a new version of that bauer grinder that doesn't have the slow start up. It's also has a different look. But I dont think its brushless.

    • @MichaelRoachWV
      @MichaelRoachWV 3 года назад

      I think it's brushless but unadvertised to push people to hercules, but I haven't taken it apart yet to confirm. It hits fullspeed awful fast to not be brushless, almost instantly it feels like. I don't recommend using it with less than the 3AH battery though. Probably going to get a 5AH to see if that works even better.

    So unless it's changed since I sold it to a customer 5 days ago you can't do the bundle with the brushless grinder, battery and charger. The $25 gets taken off when you bundle NON brushless, battery and charger.

    Al ittle constructive criticism Brian..... instead of saying "this tool and that tool" say the name of the tool..... sometimes in your editing we can hear you saying "this" and "that" but we can't see what particular tool you're talking about... it's not hard to follow along ..it would just be better if you said the DeWalt Grinder or the Hercules grinder..... other than that, good stuff as usual brotha👍...
    8:17... my Ridgid does the same thing ....but actually what I think it is is with today's Battery Technology the way to get the batteries to function longer is too deep charge them.... a lot of batteries will charge completely fairly quickly but when your battery is on the final bar you will notice that it will run like that longer than it took for you to charge 3 bars... that is because it is a deep charge... a density charge.... so that it will stay charged longer
