The Pretty Things "Scene One" followed by the "Good Mr. Square" from their Parachute album. One could not get more two disparate tracks, but on the flip neither two that work better together, sets the tone of an album up superbly. Keep up the good work. Russell.
Great video Ross! Beggars Banquet by the stones would have to feature for me, Sympathy for the Devil and No Expectations back to back is an incredible start. Stone Roses debut would also have to feature for me as well.
Good shout on the Stone Roses album - feel that album is so strong though its difficult to just single out the opening two tracks, but not doubt they get it off to a fine start!
Hi Ross nice idea for a video with some excellent choices .. maybe all mod cons was a bit obvious and sound affects also fit the bill .. have a great Christmas look forward to more videos in 2025 🎄👍

@ very true, the wheels never really do come off on that album, that’s more a ‘best 1-11 Punch’ haha
Just found you love love love
Good call out on Lloyd Cole.
Great topic Ross. I hope Argybargy features!
Doh! Great selection anyway though.
@@jamesgriffithsmusic yep completely forgot about that one! Let you have it for a response video 😉

The Pink Fairies, Kings of Oblivion. The early ‘70’s unheralded “urban rock opera”.
ZZ Top "Tres Hombres", Waitin' For The Bus / Jesus Just Left Chicago.
Led Zeppelin / Physical Graffiti - side 1 starts with Custard Pie & then The Rover. Stitch that, mofo .
