1st strike will most likely deflect the punch than fracture/break the bone. it's not that soft and you use the same bone to strike/deflect so unless your bones are made of steel, it won't break it. 2nd move, the joint is less likely to be dislocated because you are pulling downwards along with the whole arm. but if you twist to your left side while pushing up (on the elbow and holding the shoulder in place), it will dislocate the bone. I'm not dissing the style/moves but the description of the narrator.

But from what I have learn this technique, our right hand hold the wrist of the enemy and our left hand break or dislocate the bone on behind elbow. I hope you understand my english. I dislocated the shoulder joint of someone with silat because he wouldn't stop hitting my shoulder. The dude was 6'5 feet and I am only 5'10 and skinny but athletic. The oponent was former military and after an few warnings I defended and popped his arm because he resisted and me throwing it in really fast as an reflex. I helped him pop back his shoulder and he never tried to tease or spar with me again.
Silat is not suitable for competition because all the moves ends with locks and followed by lethal blow.if there ever gonna be safety rules , its always gonna be like halfway unfinish flow.no one will see the beauty of silat. Silat is deadly for sure, but I think the first move in this clip is exaggerated.... Do you know how much force it would take to break an arm? Logically speaking, if you have enough power to snap a bone using a deflecting move, you won't need to do all the next moves.
for the longest time i've been rehearsing in my mind what to do in case some idiot throws a punch at me, this technique is a very good alternative to my deflecting his punch then chopping his throat then stomping on his knee sideways. an arm triangle choke while incapacitating the punching arm and also breaking one leg, i like it.

u have to develop reflex and muscle memory before you can perform this. normally we will practice this move 50-100 times in a session, apart from many other moves. and you keep practising the move even after many many years. And also, u need pretty good smacking from your master before you can do this correctly.

An ultimate silat skill training like this through competition Street whatever is definitely different. True limited control that we can receive
