The first three records are truly great, then things went wrong. But old songs still sound great and this is one of my favourites. Fouth album is kind of listenable for four times, but given up hope for any good songs from them anymore.
Couldn't agree more!!! I really hope Chris returns to the band soon and give this band the best music! What they have released after The Weight of your Love is really mediocre
Oeh I really disagree. The first albums are great (3rd is really underrated imo) but I love how there sound is changing and its not a band that’s just bringing out similar but new albums. The fourth album is sort of the transfer between the old editors and the newer, more electric sound (they said themselves). I think the fifth album is insanely good (no harm, marching orders, ocean of night, all the kings). The latter albums also have great songs (violence, magazine, picturesque, magazine, heart attack, strange intimacy). I do agree they don’t have that nostalgic feel to them, but maybe that will come in the future. I just like it that the albums consist of a new sound that takes some getting used to.
