- The Speed Twin is an amazing bike, but the one major drawback is no cruise control! Triumph doesn't offer it, so I bought a throttle lock from Kaoko!
In this video I'll show you how install it, and share my thoughts on it after a test ride!

That's an ingenious device! I've never considered cruise control for an MC! Of course, I love the riding with no hands! Suggestion for future videos, running with scissors and juggling hand grenades.

Quick and informative tutorial my man! I also loved the explanation about the throttle stab's interactions with hills. It's seems obv but I wouldn't be thinking about it initially.

Great review. I'm looking for a solution for my 2014 865 Bonneville. To me the perfect throttle lock would 1. clamp down faster. 2. Have two flanges to allow palm tight, pinky release.
The Atlas throttle lock is closer to how you described, the only issue is that its a large gaudy unit that looks out of place in my opinion. If i could get over the looks of it, it may be the better product

Same. This one takes a bit of practice to engage without whiskey throttle, but now that I'm used to it I prefer it over the Atlas
Wouldn’t the OEM cruise control accessory that Triumph sells for the Bonneville T120 work on the speed twin?
I wish it did! The Speed Twin doesnt come equipped with the button that the other Bonnies do. No plug and plug unfortunately ☹️
@@NicePantsLance I saw a Triumph dealer sell the whole control unit that you would have to replace the current one. It has the button but would wonder if it would work on the speed twin. I doubt it though because it wouldn’t indicate on the dash most likely.
Thats a good question! Im not sure either. I know triumph tried to cut costs by excluding cruise control on the speed twin
@@keltecdanbro I thought of buying the same for my 2021 speed twin after watching videos on RUclips as I do long routes on my bike.. so did some research..
Few facts
1. T100, 120 n the bobber handle bars are of the same Dia and accommodates the left side cluster in the above 3 bikes, however speed twin handle bars are of a different Dia..
2. The bonnie n bobber series have cruise control mapped in to their ECU already compared to a Speed Twin which doesn't have it mapped.. so for the bonnie n bobber after installing the OEM cruise, they just have to be activated at the dealership n the ECU remapped..

@@tomrohan8480 Did you ever try diy-ing the cruise control for your speed twin? I know you can remap your ECU with TuneECU. I'm wondering if with some electrical work and some modifying to the ECU it could happen.
Is it feasible to use this “engaged” all the time? Just manipulate the throttle with your hand rather than letting it return itself
It is feasible, but quite tricky and would take alot of practice to do it consistently. I tried it a couple times and almost accidentally clutched up into a wheelie 😂
Great video lance my only concern would be if a car pulled out on me and i did have time to turn it off her in the UK alot of ca tend to pull out on bikes stay safe looking forward to more videos 🇬🇧👍
This product holds the throttle, but allows plenty of slip. If a car pulled out in front of you, you would actually be able to just roll off the throttle! Thanks for watching Rich 🤘 cheers

Yes! Ive put out so many different videos on so many different bikes. The views are still rolling in! My productivity has gone down alot since i bought the new house and my car shit the bed lol i used to make atleast 3 videos a month and now im lucky to make 1 a month. Went from $250 a month down to $100 a month. Pays for gas and such even though ive been putting in very little time lately. Im hoping to pick back up here this upcoming month and start making content again. I think its 100% worth it

I definitely want to invest in a quad lock! My buddy has one and they are great. Expensive as all hell though
