    Congratulations! Great job! I bought a Speed Twin last week. It already has engine protections and the engine guard. The short plate holder is great! It will be the first modification I will make, along with the tyres. I don't feel very comfortable with the originals! I will definitely see your other videos! Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!

    I have done these 👍. I wanted some real nice , expensive Rizoma indicators; however I found these cheap … LED sequential ones and they turned out great! One of my fav mods and less than $100!

      I’m just proud Teiumph put together such a lovely machine from factory. Yeah… I have the brown comfort saddle. That was an improvement. Oh and heated grips (should come as standard in many countries)
      I will also talk to my dealer to see if one of the screens on offer for the Scrambler 1200 XE will fit the Speed Twin as I take longer rides from time to time.
      Have a lovely spring on your bike!

    1, change the Pirelli tyres
    2. Change the rear suspension
    3. Fit Throttle spacers.

    On my 2020 Speed Twin 1200cc I used the "Ducati spacers", the TEC tail-tidy and put a Crafton Atalier seat on which is much better than the stock seat. The newer throttle-by-wire is herky jerky in comparison to my other 2 Triumphs; the spacers didn't help much, it is still snatchy and annoying.

      On the first gen Speed Twin the ecu tune has to be modified to get rid of that surging. Don't waste money on those booster plug gimmicks. I've got a '22 that has 27 mods to date, including Ducati spacers, airbox inlet boot shortening, British Customs compitition X-pipe and removed the db. killers from the mufflers. I'd have to say the best bang for the buck mod on the second gen Speed Twin, is just going up one tooth on the countershaft sprocket. These engines have great tourqe output everywhere in the rpm range from 2-6k. I enjoy nothing more than short shifting it when I roll the throttle on from next to nothing through the gears, and just enjoy the sound of the exhaust banging out that sweet 270° tune that it sings soo well! The second gens come with IMHO much better mufflers and there's no need to upgrade them.

    • @frederickwoods5943
      @frederickwoods5943 2 года назад

      @@andrewbecker3700 I have a small fleet of 5 vertical twins, 4 of them have aftermarket exhaust systems and not a single booster plug in any of them. Many miles and many years with no problems...thanks for the advice on the first gen Speed Twin 1200cc, my Thruxton 900 had a re-flash and it worked wonders.

    • @andrewbecker3700
      @andrewbecker3700 2 года назад +1

      @@frederickwoods5943 Everybody likes different stuff. Just seen too many people spend on fantasy instead of facts. Without a tune most fuel injected bikes benefit very little from exhaust mods that decrease backpressure drastically. Loud pipes are annoying. The second gen speed twin has an outstanding exhaust system and with a couple mods it's more than adequate for the cam the engine has.

    • @frederickwoods5943
      @frederickwoods5943 2 года назад

      @@andrewbecker3700 agreed. All of my exhaust systems have the baffles in, I don't like loud pipes either; my main purpose was weight reduction by switching to full stainless-steel. They also run cooler and every single one has increased fuel efficiency by 5 percent.

      I was originally looking at the Thruxton the price was getting up there and the riding position is a little aggressive then I started looking at the Speed Twin, same great torquey engine as the Thruxton, more relaxed riding position, there was a rebate from Triumph on the 2020 models and it looks like a real motorcycle not an insect.
