I really liked the dimpling. I know I will never be able to afford one of your stunning rings, I hope everyone who can really loves their piece of beauty
And here I was thinking "oh cool a not round out side form..." and you rounded it.... then you got dimples and here I was thinking "oh cool dimples how do you polish that and not lose them...." and you smoothed them off... (CLEARLY a beautiful ring. Watching this, and then seeing the other comments there are so many avenues of possibility there).
The pattern came out really well, the flame etching technique is so cool, I wonder if you could take all those scrap and melt them down with others to make a really interesting ring
It amazes me that people have the precision to do this manually. I've operated a cnc machine that cuts rings of a tube and sometimes it still got it wrong
Well its easier then our trashy standards system. Lol we are 1 of 3 countries in the world that use it. So that tells us we are the stupid ones trying to re-invent the measurement system.
@@mrfinder18 Yeah....military is using it, science as well. There is a video of Paul Teutel Sr struggleing with fractions of inches. I mean come on xD that is really really tough to watch!
was about to put a comment up seeing if I was the only one that preferred the dimples but looking around I deffo wasn't. might be a cool idea if he could make another that included the dimples
I love the ring looks awesome I just made a ring of my own which turned out great out of wrought iron round bar that I twisted upset or forged down to a big enough diameter drilled a hole and used a drill a belt grinder to round it up then etched it with ferric chloride acid then waxed it and buffer it a few times but it left a horrible rust ring on my finger for days and the luster wasn’t was I was looking for, any suggestions on how to finish this ring?
Hi, Inspire by you video, I made some Titanium ring. I heat it up to create rainbow color on it. Sadly I found those vivid purple and gold get dull once it is wet. The vivid color come back by heat it up again. But I just cannot keep it on my finger. I try cover it with oil, and the same happen. Would you tell me how do you keep it vivid? Thanks
Dude I am in the process of making my Fiance's engagement ring out of titanium, (the idea was inspired by your ring making vids, and I have used one of your mandrels) and I LOVE this ring!! While I was at school, I machined my ring blank out of bar stock, and its ready for other work to be done. All the machinists I know are terrified of the stuff, so I've earned mad respect around the shop for being able to work with Ti precisely. I've grown to love working with it even though its so tough (no pun intended lol). Its such a wild material with such cool properties. I'm planning on heat blackening some portions of it (like deep recesses and the lining face. I'll polish other areas back out to the silvery gray). Do you have any tips for getting an even black color? I know that with steel heating it to cherry red and then dunking it in motor oil achieves the effect, but what is your experience with Ti? I have a few scrap pieces to try any operations I'm not sure about, but I wanted to ask your advice
I’ve heard that the same process works with titanium but I’ve never actually tried it before. More steel I know using dirty used oil works much better. Also cleaning the ring first and heating evenly. I love that you’re doing ring making, keep it up and good luck!! 👍
Does the color wear down over time and require a reheat? I am trying to do a little personal project with timascus but don't have experience with the material.
patrick, this is a general question about rings, i bought a ring blank and some glow powder a week or two ago and for some reason didn’t think that i didn’t have a lathe jaws. Is it possible to make a glow ring if i’m using a ring blank without a lathe?
Can you improvise with gluing it on to a piece of wood that has a bolt in it and chucking it up in your drill it's a bit of a dodgy method you'd have to be careful but it is one alternative to a lathe
Damn!!! That is SOOO KICKASS!!! Probably one of the Coolest Designs since the Superconductor Material!!! If I come into some $$$ I'm Most DEFINITELY going to have you make/design a "Suite of Rings"!!!😎👍🏻
You make the most insane rings in the world and they look extremely good! I would love to buy one but I need to decide first and get a ring sizer so I can get the right size. The problem is that I am 14 years old and my hands will grow. So I'll wait a little longer before buying one How long would a ring take from buying the ring to the delivery?
2015 is when I started. I just started with a dremel and a bit of carbon fiber. I slowly collected more and more tools and materials as I went along and I slowly started to sell some which helped me be able to afford more ring making things! I started with just a dremel but I quickly bought a lathe and a drill press. Jimmy Diresta is probably my biggest inspiration!
@@PatrickAdairDesigns thank you. It's unusual to get a reply. Your rings are fantastic thanks for sharing your skills, creations and knowledge. Really, really cool! Thanks, Patrick! 😀🛠🥇👍
Have ever thought of doing a seafloor themed ring ring with stuff like pearls and coral with glow etc I think it may look cool
Really love Timascus! I love that you made it a really simple profile to let the patterning shine. :)

That looks pretty sick. Impressive work.
Amazingly beautiful as always!

Beautiful design 💙

Finally some metal music. Makes more sense to me.
This is such a beautiful ring. You have a AMAZING talent and i just love your videos.

What box sizes do you use to sell your rings? And can you please do a tutorial on what software you use to make your custom boxes?

Can you make a ring outta stone? But not like normal stone something unique or even from a crystal stone or whatever it’s called.
Have you ever tried to anodize it electrically you would get an even result an you get more vibrant colors wich you can choose by voltage
You should do a superconductor mix ring
Could you make an electrum or Norse Gold Ring?
Can I recommend you cut with the other side of the vice? That way sparks are thrown down, away from you face.
Awesome. Well done.

hello! This material, timascus scratches easily like traditional titanium watches? Is it more scratch resistant than steel or bronze?
You should do it again but purposefully leave most of the dimpling I think that would look increadable
Does the color wear down over time and require a reheat? I am trying to do a little personal project with timascus but don't have experience with the material.
which metal is it and where we can find that pls tell me 😥
I want to know where you got that tool!
Can you make super cool brushless motors for a racing drone?
So what do you do which the ring after you make it?
Can timascus rings be resized?
Its timascus? I always thought its damascus...
Is that perhaps becouse this is titanium damascus?
Yup.
I kinda liked the dimples
Would love the ring with that obsidian finish you do ! btw can the be acid bathed to get a simalar result as your superconductor rings ?
Where can I purchase the rounding jig!!!! I would love to have it in my toolbox. Thx 😊
This is the link for the jig 😉. Have fun.
Where did you get that tool to round the profile!?
Where’s the guard on your grinder 😱
I'm excited to get my own of this, but man, I was bummed when you removed the hex like depth. that would of been neat to do some experimentation with!
Where do you find thos kind off metels
The ring is awesome 😍😍
Love from INDIA...

Patrick. What lathe are you using?
Can you make a budget ring that looks good in design to afford
Where did you get the ring rounding tool?
Sweet ring. Where can one pick up one of those rounding tools?
can u make the green lantern ring in a vid
wow super cool. greetings from ur friend bly!!!
Yay you made my day

What no Size 17 ?
It still cuts well . I figured it would be a pain in the ass and ruin a all the bits
...great, just bought the Deep Space ring now I want this one lol
Do you sell Timascus ? I looked to find it on your web site. You should consider that market as well.
Good job
awsome vid bro hope ya doing well
Looks amazing! But when is next months sub box ring video coming out? I know, i'm just being impatient.
This week!!
Can anyone tell me where to find the round ring lathe jig that Patrick used in the video? I would to have this tool!
Its called a radius cutter. Most lathe supply sites online should cary them
Very nice ring! where can I find a rounding jig like you use?
You should try to make some rings with "Turboglow"
What lathe bits are you using and how are you sharpening them?
I like to make something out of that steel where did you find it.
You must have done all the other ring challenges to get Damascus!
How much
When did you decide to make rings?
How did you start ring making?
What tools did you start with?
Who inspires you?

Hey Patrick! How's your r32 been? You haven't updated the other channel in forever
Funny you say that. I just posted my first video in a year about a week ago!! It’s almost finished!
I’ve been curious, are those metal shavings sharp? The small thin shavings that are produced when you drill into the material.
Or are they soft and bouncy and fun lol
Mate that looks sick! Love that pattern! Great job. Could you anodise the material with electricity like normal titanium?
The patterns don’t appear if you use electricity :(
You should make a ring out of uranium, it will go viral!

Do you ship to Australia??
