dld8823 I don't have the vehicle any more.... in this particular truck there were 4 screws and it would split in half. Most vehicles are the same.

Ok on my 86 d21 there's a 5th wire it's black and green what's it for?

I'm not sure bro. I don't have my truck anymore, you could touch it to your power wire and see what happens. I don't recall having that wire.

There's a bundle of wires in your steering column, coming out of the ignition switch

Then what wires do you use to start it?

+joe biden it's different on different cars. it's usually a white wire and black wire you touch to turn over the motor
