Thomas Bergersen is one of the most important contemporary musicians...a real artist
It's.. it's beautiful! *starts shedding tears of joy*
"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music."
- Aldous Huxley
Lots of emotions with many nice climaxes
I only climaxed once lucky :(
the video lagged right when the really good part started I have never felt more betrayed in my life
as since every single part is the best part, i guesst you lagged at the opening of youtube
You gotta start it over when that happens
Bro, I was weightlifting to the good part then the lag happened. Almost dropped the dumbbells on my head 😠😠😠
@@LYSERGIC_ELYSIUM Probably because the +5 strength bonus just vanished suddenly.
I listen to TSFH for inspiration for my stories. This reminds me of an epic war between two fantasy kingdoms, and the love, loss, victory, and bloodshed involved. Only one will be victorious...
My favourite piece of all times! Every time make me cry and a subuman power reborn inside!
Oh god, this is absolutely beautiful...
Absolutely energising!!!
@Pearcinator
The physical CD will be available on the website CDbaby (they ship worldwide).
As you probably know, Thomas is the co-founder and co-composer of Two Steps From Hell, and the priority for the making of the CD was given to Archangel.
Now that the physical CDs of Archangel are done and sent to the website, the CDs of Illusions can finally be printed. Shouldn't be too long now.
Watch for updates on Thomas' facebook page.

It sucks that pop music singing about love and all that are overrated than stuff like this.. these type of music has somehing others don't. EMOTION.
+Becoming Princess The problem is many people are not open to the dept level of this type of music. The result we have a highly popped society. In time things will change, I can see the changes coming. When i use to play these songs most of my friends called it noise but now, they started enjoying it. lol
+silas ndzewiyi Yep this music beautiful, and it's spreading.
Plenty of pop music has emotion
Not as much, though; considering how people wouldn't wanna be too hyped up while driving and listening to the radio.
Don't even bother.. This is the my-taste-in-music-is-better-than-yours arrogance that is age old, and causes divides even among subgenres...
dude this is in my marching band show I'm so excited
The sad part is that millions of people will die without ever hearing this music
Most underrated comment ever
@@sudiptobhadra3059 hope mr bergersen comes to chicago
:( Let's make sure as many people as possible will get a chance to hear it then
Or if they do hear it, they are so trained to expect good music to have lyrics that they see this kind of art as generic or bad. So little taste out there these days.
They'll hear it in afterlife
Some songs i just hear...but these songs I listen
Lolz Dawgz Same thing
Well said.
Same thing
The first track I heard from Thomas back then - and still as strong after 10 years as on the first day.
One of my all time favorites! Try these:
TSFH - SidyanA/Lost in Las Vegas
Ivan torrent - Human Legacy/Awakening/Power of Wil
Mark petrie - Embolden
John Dreamer - Becoming a Legend
Valentin Wiest - Aurora
Future World Music - Time Keepers/Battle for Babylon
Micheal Mccann - Icarus
Update 2017:
James Everingham - Dimension
Von Lichten - Witness to History
Marcus Warner - Wings/Tale of Sea Dragons/If Elephants could Fly
Tony Anderson ft. James Everingham - Darkest Nnight
Movie Score "Sword of the Stranger - Ihojin no Na Yaiba
Christopher Tin - Sogno di Volare
Fran Soto - Zion's Glory
Artem Yegerov - Open your Mind
Zack Hemsey - Waiting between World's (Instrumental)
Thanks for the suggestions dude.
are these all orchestral
Ken West They all sound rather lackluster after hearing this video. (Aura)
you have a great taste for music, all of these are exceptional!
Xié xie
How the hell !?
This video should have got a hundred times the amount of views it currently has !
I'm so glad there are people who like this music. I don't understand how people don't understand the beauty of such music. No real lyrics. No event. You just free your mind and imagine whatever. This raw power that lies within music... How is it posible to transfer so much by some simple soundwaves? How…
Ask a music expert.
My friends: Hey, do you know X?
Me: Who's X?
F: It's a sooo famous rapper, how can you not know him?! You're so ignorant!
Me: Do you know tsfh? No, as I predicted. So stfu.
6:23 up to the end.... perhaps the most epic epic feeling in a song EVER. The way the song progressively builds up for that ending is just sensational... at this part you hear for the first time everything in full force, the choir, the bass everything... its just amazing...

this song is abnormal, i've heard this song so many times and still the feeling i get at 4:11 is indescribable
Those bits inbetween the vocals? That whole section makes me stim.
How is it possible after 15 hrs of straight listening (yes that's what I said) I'm still getting goose bumps... This is a music masterpiece at its very best... BERGERSEN should be the most talked about composer world wide
Your 10 billion percent right about that
@@roberthilton7606 if you like this i would reccoment TSFH impossible
The POWER we are dealing with here is immeasurable...
1:59 - 2:52 That's by far the best part of the song, it's so intense and emotional.
I totally agree.
Disagree it's 4:10 for me!
holy crap when the choir comes in...so much emotion with it...i love everything to do with them, separately and together.
This kind of music lasts forever and never goes out of fashion..you can come back and be transported right back to when you first heard it and this piece reminds me of, just when you think all hope is lost...it's that resilience and fight inside you that keeps you going, you will never yield.
Think of Beethoven, Strauss, Wagner...Mozart. Bergersen is one such. Indeed, I can somewhat sympathize with Salieri: I stand in the shadow of greats such as Bergersen.
I thank two steps from for the work they are doing with me during the homework
5:56 After all you've been through... finally you see your dream becomes true, and the feel of a tear going down your face tells you that every second of struggle gave you all you needed to achive your biggest victory, a victory called happiness....
@Mr Thief I am sure others have told you not to give up, but I'll say it once more. There is greater honor in failure from effort than there is from surrendering to misfortune.
@Mr Thief 9 Years since I wrote those lines... I've became someone rather dark and pesimistic, maybe the lockdown and being around people that live in some kind of underworld trying to pull me down helped to bring out the most negative parts of me... But... There is a call from within my soul that will not let hope die, dont ask me what it is, keep pushing even if you can only take minimun steps at this moment, we all have a universe inside, trust that call my friend... Trust it.
@Mr Thief Lets honor the reasons why we started... 🤜🤛
I play this whilst downloading, so as to encourage the progress bar... I like to pretend it works.
Lol.
this made me laugh because its so stupid and I do it too lol
It's amazing how many beautiful sensations this music gives, I never get tired of listening to it.
Thank you Maestro Thomas also for this excellent music.
Get better as you get older.
Greetings from Italy.
99% of the music out there today requires image or video to produce intensive amount of feelings!
1% of the music out there simply creates images in peoples minds!
That 1% is called 2 Steps From Hell!
LinkSoul2 wrong thomas music does the same
It's a one-two punch right to the heart.
@@Komod0_arg.8.0 Two Steps From Hell and Thomas Bergersen are kind of the same thing
you have a pretty small universe :). But it';s ok, there is so much room to grow
@@enkidu001 This. Two steps from hell is ok, but there's so much more out there once you learn how to listen.
Jesus this keeps ramping up and then you get a burst of that amazing choir chanting. These guys have so many albums both together and then the solo stuff that it gets overwhelming just how much music there is.
I also love how their music twists sometimes like with the sort of arabian melody that happens in this track. Bravo guys. This goes beyond just listening.
+rochey1010 i just recently discovered this music from Thomas Bergersen, and it simply BLOWS MY MIND :D
simply amazing music!!
when i listen to it in my car driving on freeway i feel like i am flying, its out of this world experience :D
just amazing.
+Benjamin Shtark Same here.
Sephy Nguyen you also like to listen to this in car? :D
+Benjamin Shtark I have no car but I do understand about "i feel like i am flying, its out of this world experience " cuz I listen to his music almost every day.
+Benjamin Shtark You probably shouldn't listening to this music while you are driving... This music will drive you feel like GODLIKE, and flying dive will cause you accident.
Une perle, rien à redire, vraiment fantastique. Thomas Bergersen est un compositeur hors pair, un artiste complet et bourré de talent.
Found out about this song around 2014-2015 from a comic book RUclips channel called, "Brandon Hex". It came around a very dark time for me in high school when I was dealing with bullying and terrible anxiety issues. The only people around me where my best friends and my lovely parents. I am overwhelmed with finding it again. Thomas Bergersen made music for the ages. Something that, like all legendary things, is priceless. It carries like all great things powerful, divine emotion and it can fill us up with hope for tomorrow.
Dieser track ist wirklich einzigartig!
3:18 this part is simply something else. It is insanely smart, damn this is underrated...
His best piece! In terms of orchestration, creativity, choice of instruments, mixing and ... PASSION, of course. My favorite and, as I bet one my deaf ears on it, One of Thomas' personal favorites, too.
I wonder why this is relatively unknown.
I also agree with you. This is in my opinion one of his best pieces, I just keep coming back!
@ProPilotKo this and illusion
the reason that this music trumps pop: pop is set to a specific language, but this, it has no lyrics for the music speaks in all languages simultaneously calling to our baser instinct to bring emotion
Doesn't speak in sign language :/
+Nathan B you know what. their are several ways to respond to this, I could be a smart-ass and get technical and pull the "their is a reason saying things in sign language is called 'signing' not 'saying' by those fluent in it" argument, I could prove you wrong by mentioning how def people (like my neighbors daughter) actually do 'listen' to music via feeling the vibrations which produces the same effect for them (as when one sense is lost the others become stronger to compensate), or I could rage at you and utter a wide and creative array of curses involving creative reasons on why you sound like an internet troll and internet trolls should go die. but I'm torn on what to do so instead I'll allow you to pick which response you prefer and then have you imagine my reaction.
zachery fluegeman You could laugh since it was a joke :P
+Nathan B ah... sorry I kinda suck at spotting a joke, to used to being plauged by internet trolls, sorry.
well said. that is what i'm always trying to say to them. This musis universal.
When men go into the darkness, against unspeakable odds, because they know that they must do what needs to be done to keep safe the ones that they love even though they know that they may never come back to see the ones that they love....
This is a POWERFUL composition!
I have goosebumps all over.
6:23 HOLY GOOSEBUMPS BATMAN!!!
could have perfectly been the final theme of "interstellar" ^^
Jeffrey Lebowski This song deserve better than Interstellar in my opinion !
They made the theme for interstellar. But it is on an album called Sun and I don't think they put it up yet.
+Jeffrey Lebowski I'm sorry, but with that name,i just HAD TO SUBSCRIBE.
+Sans The song name is Final frontier.

OMG I have been looking everywhere for this song for almost 2 hours now and am now happy I found it.
high quality song even in bad quality, if you get me
Dubstep songs have one drop.
This entire song is drop.
Wolf Edmunds A drop is pointless without buildup. also dubstep songs generally have 2-3 drops

What a Masterpiece! 💗
And yes we all can feel how special it is...just open your heart...and fly ....

I love the turn this song makes @ 1:58
I'm glad that I am not the only one!!! Love that part, makes me think of a horn or smokestack on a semi blaring out!
Timmy T. Trust me you are not the only one! Thats the moment this music was engraved in my heart! AMAZING!
Best part for sure
I feel like epic or legendary doesn't even begin to describe this piece. WOW
Thanks for this Epic song. Now I can walk on water.
I can walk on my own
Still my favourite song from them up until now. This whole album is amazing. What you hear is the echo straight out of the soul. That a human can make something like this is a sign of our uniqueness in the universe. That there is something godlike about us. And this is coming from a scientist haha
Bro can u recommend me some more soundtracks like this ?
@@xtrm_7271 There's not many pieces like this one. The closest ones to it in terms of transcendent feeling is Creation of Earth (Thomas) , Final Frontier (Thomas), Dreammaker (Thomas), Restore (Audiomachine)
Agree 100% Fatebringer
@xtmr "Stallion" from tfsh
Your literally taking about the Bible dude. We are made in the image of God. “Let’s us make Man in our own image”. We are indeed unique in the universe. We didn’t make ourselves, that beauty came from God who created music.
I have just listened to this piece ten times in a row. Can someone please provide an extended version?

Great composer, best epic album and a must have! Listen every day to this to free ur mind & soul! thx Thomas B.
Maybe it's because it's one of the first epic music that I've listened to, but the best one from very far! Thanks for composing such a beautiful music! When trumpets start, it's just as i was flying for the first time..
Those are actually French Horns (or just horns), friend. They're a staple of the modern orchestral composition and arrangement techniques. It does feel like your soaring when you hear those and several other elements come into play. 😁

AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song is so incredible, there are no words. I listen to it several times a day. It really helps in working on ideas for my screenplay.
Update: I listen to this every couple of weeks so I don't wear it out. It's still great and does help my writing.
.... plena, intima, te transforma y envuelve...de lo mejor que se puede escuchar. Y lo mejor.... que Thomas B..... tiene muchos temas de esta calidad. Y seguirá haciendo para nuestro deleite, música como esta. Gracias.
it has been with me for 2 years, listen to it everyday on my car.
You do realize that this is your opinion and it means nothing, right? As you continue to be a part of the minority that dislikes this beautiful music, the rest of us will stay here and enjoy his current music for what it is, because believe it or not, his music is still amazing, and it always will be.
He isn't a genious.. he surpassed that.. he's an artist... a genious makes something that already exists in a way.. But an artist.. A true artist makes something new, something better, more touching...
This makes want to do Taichichuan or become an airbender or something 😅 Love it 🤭

Triensi Alexander Oh man, I guess I care too :)
I care that you care too that you care that Triensi cares, that I care that Triesnsi cares, that Triensi cares that I care that he cares. I care...
I wish that were true. Sadly, some people have very little imagination, and would 'see' nothing in their mind's eye even when listening to a song such as this. It must be a sad existence for them, but they don't know any difference. But, I agree with you that I enjoy this kind of music more than any other kind. It's not a popularity contest, there's no controversy over anything. It's just beautiful sounds strung together in an immaculate series.
My favorite music in all two steps from hell musics

MARAVILLOSA OBRA DE ARTE
Una pieza maestra, como siempre puro talento 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🎶❤️
For my taste, this is the best piece of art that has come to my attention in the last decade.
By the way, please, do not call it epic. Look up the word in a good dictionary and stop using it. It is invalidative to many of Bergersen's pieces.
This is my ringtone (starts at 4:11) and I was listening to it today from my phone with a bluetooth speaker when the phone rang! lol
