If you’re solo it’s probably best to lease on with a company they handle insurance all permits, road taxes registration and billing. Down side is they’ll take a percentage but if they keep you busy you’ll be good. I got my LLC and leased on.
This is a good point, Daniel. There are a lot of people who choose to do this, too!
Daniel anyway to contact you direct I may need some help

This video makes is sound so EASY, but it all comes down to the $$
That's true, Marcus. Each step has different costs associated with them, and when you add in equipment and insurance those costs can add up. There is no easy way to talk about the costs because they vary by state.
A wonderful delivery of excellent information.... see what I did there "delivery and the information is the freight. Great job Liz

That's right, Liz 😀
Thinking about starting up my own company just trying to get me numbers straight to see how much I’m going to need all together
Do you setup everything
Thank you for the video I learned more in 5min than I have browsing through countless videos trying to gather information. I’m definitely considering consulting your company. My questions for now are when you use the abbreviation CDL is that California Drivers License or Commercial Drivers License? And to drive a 26 foot box truck to work with Amazon do you need a Commercial Drivers License or just a regular California Drivers License? Thank you
Hugo, thank you for watching! When we talk about a CDL, we are talking about a Commercial Drivers License. A Commercial Drivers License is required if the combined Gross Vehicle Weight Rating if over 26,000 pounds and if you are hauling certain commodities, like hazardous materials. If you're planning on driving for Amazon they can provide you information on what they will require.
You’re Awesome! I’m looking to sign up some time this week. Thank you
hi, i will apply E2 visa.
i want to know if i buy used trucks and park them, do i have to get insurance until my visa is approved or not?

nice video~
Thank you 🤗
Professional
Thanks for watching, Alec.
Can you get a dot number before you even have a cdl? I hear the early you get your dot the cheaper insurance will be when you decide to get insurance
Having a CDL is not a requirement of getting a DOT Number, so yes you can get your DOT Number before you have a CDL. Thanks for watching!
Thx🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
You're welcome 😊
So, if you're "operating in" the full lower 48, do you need someone in each state? I'm not planning to run my own authority at first, as I have another avenue I'll be initially running under. I know I'll need a registered agent for my LLC in my state, but I'd be hauling for another company (under their DOT) primarily out of another state. Thanks!
Hi Adrian, thanks for watching. You don't need a registered agent in every state for an LLC. Your company entity is filed at the state level, so having a registered agent in that state is the only requirement,
I’ve seen a lot of 18 wheelers with containers in and out of the port of Houston, do you help getting those loads?
Gino, we don't assist with finding loads for your trucking company. To be able to transport loads from a port you'll need a TWIC card, we do have some information about that here: www.apexcapitalcorp.com/blog/what-is-a-twic-card/
I am from Pakistan. After seeing your vadieo . I want to create a transport company in canada .
I am allredy doing truck transport in pakistan .

Hi I just ordered a Volvo brand new. I got my DOT like a month ago. But in order for me to get insurance for the truck My DOT should be an year old. So my question is what should I do in order to keep my DOT active and not get it cancelled by the FMCSA?
Rash, there is no requirement for your DOT Number to be year-old to obtain insurance. You will need insurance in order to legally operate your business. Please consult the FMCSA website or give them a call for the most accurate information, www.fmcsa.dot.gov/
What about leasing on with a carrier that already has their mc#/DOT# ?WHAT THEN?
That's a great question. You would have to check with your carrier to see which forms and filing you'd need. Different states and companies will have different requirements.
Thnks hey
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Do you still need a CDL if you starting the company with a medium duty box truck (16’-24’ foot truck) ... and I will not be driving the truck I will have a driver doing the trips
Hi Destiny, thanks for watching. If you aren't going to drive the truck, no matter the size of the truck, you don't need a CDL.
What about a non CDL hotshot company
Yes, we can help you! Give us a call at 855-211-0929 or get started here: bit.ly/2tYU7we
Hello guys
Do you have options to purchase a trucking company with an existing clean history and MC/DOT numbers (to avoid high insurance costs)?
And if not what are your cost to start a new company with all related documentation including a professional business plan?
Thanks for watching, Shoks. We don't provide a service that would allow you to purchase an existing trucking company or existing MC/DOT Numbers. We have a free guide that can help you create your own business plan including templates and examples, but it's not a service that we offer currently.
To get the most accurate information regarding the cost of using our services please give us a call at 855-211-0929. The cost can depend on the type of business you would like to start and the state you're wanting to run your business in.
Do you work with load for box trucks?
Jose, if you're asking if we help people who are interesting in starting an expedited trucking company, then yes we do!
Does a 26’ truck require all of this too please?
Many of the forms and filings for your company will still be required. The weight-specific registrations may not be needed.
I came across your video on Google ☺ I resign in California and I want to setup a trucking business. I would like to know if your company will guide me through the entire process especially for Processing Agent, Authority, Permits, etc.
Thank You!
We would love to love to help you, Miranda. Please give us a call at 855-973-1573 or head to our website www.apexcapitalcorp.com/startup/
@@apexcapital THANK YOU
#HELP! Do i need CDL driver's license to run my own DOT company? Thanks in advance!
Aiman, you don't if you aren't planning on driving. If you do plan to drive for your trucking company you will most likely need a CDL.
Thanks again for your insights. Three questions please in regards to starting a box truck business under 26k lbs. What do you charge for your services? Do I need to first get an LLC before applying for the DOT and MC? And when financing a box truck 24-26 ft under 26k lbs can it be financed under my individual name or it needs to be financed under the LLC? Thank you I really appreciate your guidance and look forward to working with you real soon
Hugo, give us a call at 855-211-0929 so that our team talk through our services with you to make sure we give you the most accurate prices and information. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

How i apply for IFTA the first time ? I live in PA state , what are the steps please
Inas, IFTA registration is done in person, mail, or online depending on your state's requirements. Here is some information we found specific to Pennslyvania.

I have to get insurance before i even get a truck ?
You don't have to get insurance prior to getting your equipment, but you will need to have proof of insurance in order for your authority to become active. So, at least within 90 days of filing. A common suggestion we make to our clients is for them to already have started the process of getting a truck or equipment prior to starting the filing process.
You guys help with box trucks too?
We do! Give us a call!
@@apexcapital what about courier vans would I need a DOT and all that for that too?
@@quespec133 USDOT Number is required if you are operating in interstate commerce, that means crossing state lines, and meet the following criteria:
- You have vehicles that are over 10,000 lbs. (GVWR, GCWR, GVW or GCW)
- You transport between 9 and 15 passengers (including the driver) for compensation, whether direct or indirect
- You transport 16 or more passengers
- You haul hazardous materials
The FMCSA has a step-by-step tool that will help you determine if you need a DOT Number that you can use here www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration/do-i-need-usdot-number-1
APEX. I love you guys!
We're so glad!
why didnt you divide these steps as before and after having trucks? would make sense more.
Thanks for the feedback, Salim. We recently have separated those steps in that format for our webinars. We will consider doing that with this video as well.
I want to start my own trucking company but how can I go about getting a business loan to purchase a truck, for a minority woman owner?
We don't have much expertise to give advice about getting a business loan, however we do know that part of that process can be putting together a business plan. We do have a video to hep you get started on that here ruclips.net/video/h_MvqjNfCME/видео.html
How much it will cost me to get all those docs by your side?
Give us a call to get a quote, the costs will vary by state and the filings you'll need. Talking to our team gives you the most accurate range 844-204-8657.
What if I have a box truck ?
Chiron, thanks for watching our video. Most of this process will remain the same, but there are some weight related filings that you might not need. For example, if the gross weight of the box truck is under 26,000 pounds you may not need to file for apportioned license plates. However there are state specific filings with different weight requirements. You'll just need to know the gross weight of your truck, which means it's the weight of the truck when it's fully loaded to determine what filings you will be required to have.
Hi, can non US citizen/outside of it start trucking business?
Saeed, you can but there are certain requirements, for instance, you will need to have an additional owner of your company who lives in the United States who is able to provide proof of residency, and your company's physical address will have to be within the United States as well.
