I'm still waking up over here. What did y'all think about the Switch 2 Reveal?
Can’t wait for MK9 and the new Animal Crossing!
well at least my mom cant wait for animal crossing
Looks like Nintendo got an idea or two from Valve’s Steam Deck.
absolutely loved it
Well the leaks were intensely accurate lol
Seems like a Nintendo system. A generation behind with the most hostile consumer experience imaginable
You know what I really like about this channel? The economy of language and the respect for Time. He doesn’t beat around the bush, there’s no elaborate intro… You get the necessary background, then he goes right into the topic, provides his expertise and color commentary as needed, and it has a concise ending. I think his “Excelling at the basics” approach is what RUclips needs right now.
appreciated. thank you !
Agreed!!!
When talking with other creators I bring up MVG all the time on how he doesn't waste anybody's time and actually "jumps right to it" when the video starts. I think Ahoy is another great channel that knows how to start a video and doesn't waste anybody's time as well.
God yes, some RUclipsrs prattle on for 10 minutes before they get close to the point.
MVG=MVP

I can't stress enough how glad I am to see that it plays physical games
The advantage of not needing to pack in a bulky optical disk drive. At this rate cartridges will outlive disk media.
Nintendo's the only company i don't see ditching physical media. It is way more profitable than other companies in that regard. I've seen so many switch collections compared to Xbox One, X, and PS5 collections. Way more people go out of there way to buy physical Nintendo games because I think in general Nintendo players are more likely to go back to older generations
Well except all those games where the cartridge doesn't actually have all or any of the data and you have to download it anyway making the whole cartridge nothing more than the equivalent of a CD key. I fully expect that to become much more common going forward because games these days are huge.
Rock, paper, scissors is gonna be so easy.
@@devilmikey00 I wouldn't call it a CD key, since that implies it gets attached to your account. Carts with mandatory downloads still let you resell or lend your game. They just won't be playable if you wanna install it somewhere without internet, or in like 50 years when the update service is discontinued.
I think people here are going to “I can’t wait to hack this thing” lol
Just port doom and bad Apple and we're all set
Nintendo lawyers have entered the chat
yeah especially if the games look like garbage like MK9. It looks like a mid-tier phone game.
@@janchristianursuaaguilar7434 nah we gotta get Arch Linux on it
Right here!
Looks like they went with the safest approach possible to a successor, right down to simply calling it the Nintendo Switch 2 instead of something like the Switch U or Super Switch or heaven forbid New Nintendo Switch. More of the same, just bigger and hopefully better, they don't want to stop that Switch money coming in!
I disagree. The name is bland and not creative, and is likely going to have similar issues to the WiiU. I think they should have just come up with a new name for the "New" console. Probably didn't though since "Switch" is such a well-known name.
So....they gave people exactly what we wanted and they learned from their past mistakes. And that's somehow a negative?
🤢
Hi Mr Mario!
@@volvagia6860 I agree to a point. Since it's got so much physical and functional similarity to switch 1, I think the switch 2 name only makes sense. If they called it something entirely different, it would be kind of weird because it doesn't differentiate all that much from the original.
Now we can confirm that the reason Nintendo has been going so hard after Switch emulators recently is because their new console is the same thing, just with more powerful hardware. Emualators most likely would have been able to emulate Switch 2 games practically immediately after launch.
Yeah, it was pretty obvious what was going on once they hit Ryujinx as well.
I imagine the APIs will be different though
That's unlikely, given that there are no guarantees that you would be able to dump Nintendo Switch 2 game cards

The guy who suggested 'Switch U' was promptly escorted out of Nintendo headquarters 😅 'Super Switch' would've been a great name though 😊
Mine is Swiitch, but Super Switch would have been a great choice!
I would've gone with Nintendo Ultra Switchy Four.
How can you call something super that doesn’t even match 10 year old hardware from PlayStation and Xbox?
anything wouldve been better than switch 2 lol
It would have been better, seeing as this seems more like a mid gen (8 years later) refresh than a new console.
The New Nintendo Switch XL!

@@ChrisWilliams-ur7fn Truth hurts
Now I'm just waiting for MVG to post a "How the Switch 2 security was defeated" video, and I'm absolutely here for it. ❤
I think that just like the Switch, the exploit will likely apply to the Launch version only.

I'm glad for the name. Parents won't be confused when deciding to buy one for their family. They get what it is. It makes sense.
What if you want a Switch 2 and they got confused and buy 2 switches?
oh boy, I can't wait to buy a New New Nintendo 3DS
@@JohnGarciaOHMSS Is there even history where people confused about PS2? This is good branding move.
@@nabieladrian I remember asking for a PlayStation 2 and my parents thought it was just a PlayStation (or they said that as an excuse, to be fair). I also do remember hearing other parents tell their kids that they already have a PlayStation.
My main concern is the design of the system will make parents and the casual audience think it's the same system.
Kind of wish they would have had a more confusing name that way parents end up accidentally buying a switch 1 and leaves more consoles for us 😈
I'm sure Nintendo wasn't happy about showing the Switch 2 before the April Direct. Feels like this was put together quickly because of all the leaks, especially from CES.
Well, I think a brief announcement like this was always on the cards because they said they would announce the service before March. But an April Direct seems to indicate a May or June launch?
I mean are they not partly responsible for the absolute DELUGE of leaks? The fans have been itching for ANY official info on the system, and it's about time they released something themselves. Hopefully they keep doing more teasers like this until April, otherwise they'll keep seeing more leaks 😅
I've also heard they did this so that third parties could staft hyping up their game releases, so they can have a direct that's all about their own line-up so... could've just been part of the plan.
By all accounts, this thing is basically ready in terms of hardware and manufacturing lines and everything. The holdup is almost certainly just trying to have a great launch window for games.
I can relate to being relieved by this more than anything. It’s one thing to complain that we’ve seen all of this before, but hearing it through official means is an instant load off my mind
I still wish they called it the Super Switch.
yeah, it would have been a great throwback.
SS wunderbah!
I think they learned from the Wii U not to call stuff with ambiguous names.
Super Nintendo Switch, or SNS for short.
They going the Sony route, sounds stupid but understandable
> Now that the system has been announced, there is an opportunity for me to be talking about it more in a public forum
hmm
Probably developing games for it as well speak?
MVG works for Nightdive Studios and he has worked for shipped titles on the Switch, of course he knew everything about the system but couldn't sany anything for more than obvious reasons, as there are rumors that Switch 2 dev kits have been used for more recent releases on the Switch 1
@@basurerodej8501 he works for LRG, he left Nightdive a while back
there is def a mouse in those joycons, you can see the sensor lens, and they used the attachments as a sled, sliding across the surface.
Most uncomfortable mouse ever, especially if you're gonna be asked to do more than just move with it(so having to click buttons on it as well). If it becomes a common use thing, I guess I'm gonna have to shell out for an overpriced Nintendo mouse that's actually usable.
I'm a little disappointed they didn't call it the Super Nintendo Switch for nostalgia sake
Making it backwards compatible was a great move. So many great games that will carry over.
*great exploits
The question now is what it'll do now with the backwards compatibility? Play them standard like the Switch? Or will it enhance them somehow? Eg frame generation, resolution upscalers, or even upgrade patches.
@@skycloud4802 nintendo did a patent on real time upscaling where they'll upscale 540 to 1080p so there might be some hope for enhancements
@skycloud4802 They don't have to do any of those things and it's still a massive Win. Would it be nice yes, but not necessary.
I'll be able to play Metal Slug.
I am mostly just relieved that they went with the most sensible name and not some absurd Nintendo nonsense. I guess they learned their lesson from the Wii U lol
Damn... I was hoping for Virtual Boy 2 to be the next device from Nintendo.

3:08 I think the unsupported games will likely just be games that used the IR sensor. I didn't see any IR sensors on the new joycons, so games like 1 2 switch, labo, etc are likely gonna be unsupported.
I think with them saying some games not being compatible or fully compatible is a combination of two things:
- The Switch 2 will not be able to fit into any Labo accessories or other accessories made for Switch 1. This means games that relied on those accessories will either not be playable or fully playable on Switch 2.
- The PS5 had a very small list of PS4 titles that didn't work or had some issues that only occurred on PS5. As you talked about yourself, making a fully backwards compatible system isn't easy and its possible their solution has like a not quite 100% success rate and the remaining titles will need patches to work properly.
It's hard to tell for sure but it looks like the IR camera has been removed so that's another source of incompatability for some Switch 1 games
To be honest, I forgot the Labo. I was assuming somehow it's an issue with the cloud versions, the ones you have to stream.
@ I have noticed the IR camera thing too. That would certainly be another point of incompatibility. But maybe you can still use old joy-cons with Switch 2.
Alright. Nintendo finally made it to full 1080p gaming.
don't jinx it 😂
In docked mode....
Dlss upscaled to 1080p on handheld mode*
720p was plenty for Switch 1. People dont understand pixels per degree is what matters, not resolution. Even if Switch 2 was still 720p, it'd still be alright assuming games actually used better rendering resolutions and good TAA/reconstruction.
microSD port is in the Cartridge area. That's why it has a bigger opening.
at first I was thinking 3DS/DS cartridge solution
Have you noticed what resemble an optical sensor near the joycon connectors? I think the new joy-con will work as a mouse, offering the new unique, "gimmick" control that every Nintendo system should have :)
Switch already has an ir sensor, hardly anything uses it
@@youngwt1 A small IR camera, yes. This appears to me as a standard mouse camera and is on both joycons
Yeah, that potentiality has been covered in the gaming news/blog sites. Could be a neat gimmick.
You see the joycon sliding around in the trailer seeming to confirm it's use as a mouse.
There's a couple of games that work with a keyboard and mouse on the OG Switch. Quake 1 and Astroneer are the ones that I played myself. It would be cool to have more games support it.
I saw that little piece coming out the console, connecting to the joy cons, I'm worried that it might start to take damage with repeated in and outs.

Got a Switch as a gift near the launch, back in the day. Day one I spent 45 minutes figuring out why I can't use it without internet. Finally made an account (that was the problem I was trying to go around, although I've been told there are workarounds nowadays) and let it update and reboot for nearly another 45 minutes.
What followed was abysmal performance, bugs, and constant "cloud" saving shenanigans. Being a grown up with a busy life I put it down and came back 4-5 months later. All the saves were permanently gone due to "account inactivity". Even stuff that was supposed to be local. Sold it the next day. This new one seem to be just distilled version of the first. This is not the Nintendo I grew up with in 80s/90s. I don't know what this is....
You clearly aren't made for modern gaming lol.
tldr: big boom moment
@@rogerk6180 I mean, yes and no. I do have several top tier gaming PCs with Steam and what not (completely neutered, offline, and binary hax'd) etc. Then again, I do have most of my original 8 and 16bit/32bit consoles too.
Thing is, I expect my consoles to just work without fuss. In fact, I can pull a random 8bit or 16bit cartridge and the save game (Crystalis for example) will be just fine as it has since like 1995. Crazy how much mileage you can get out of those batteries, 30 years on! Don't do a weekly bootup of your Switch for X amount of weeks or months and bam! Saves gone. (Although I was told Nintendo changed how this was handled since the time I owned a Switch back in... 2018?)
Seems modern "consoles" like the Switch 1\2 offer the worst of both worlds now: reduced capabilities and performance envelope compared to even a mid range gaming PC -AND- retain the worst of mandatory DRM and "cloud" stuff of PC gaming.
It's not even two steps forward and one step back. It's just 3 steps backwards with each gen now.

friends you're missing the part about the joycons being used as a mouse
All I saw was them driving around like cars. Did you see an IR emitter detector? I'm pretty sure that's the incompatibility with old switch games. Just looked again and saw the hardware next to the connector. That's another weird Nintendo move.

@ 1:02 of the first look trailer
I'm surprised to see it lose the vibrant colour, Nintendo seems to have pivoted a bit in style from their family fun roots to competing with Steam deck in size and style. I want to get excited for this console but if it's just a performance bump I wonder if it's enough reason to upgrade. Graphics were never the selling point for Nintendo. For those who don't have a switch ofcourse it will be a no brainer though
Well I will imagine it will be a no-brainer purchase if you are interested in the software. That’s how Nintendo has always made their systems appealing
For me the bump in power means more software will make it's way to the system. And, as a sucker for physical media, I'd greatly prefer this over a Steam Deck. Ntm exclusives, lol.
It's not just a graphics bump, third party titles run horrendously on switch so the 2's power boost will allow for actually decent framerates
It's backwards compatable but it is a new system, new games won't run on the old switch so eventually switch owners will want to upgrade if they want to keep playing new titles. I am sure some of the early games may release for both but as with PS5, eventually new games will be exclusive to the new system.
You forgot performance
those joycons are going to be nightmares.
calling it right now.
Maybe not in general, but amongst kids I can see when fighting over the console the joycon snaps off and console crashes to the ground.
Missed opportunity to call it the Switcharoo.
They clearly don't want a repeat of what happened with WiiU where the parents frequently didn't realize it wasn't actually a replacement for the Wii.
Personally I would have preferred Super Switch, but it has the same problem.

Well this is really the Switch HD, the evolution of the Switch Pro that was planned to replace the Switch 1 whilst the Switch 2 was the premier model release. They've decided to go with just Switch HD for obvious sales price targetting, and labelled it Switch 2. I have seen the proper Switch 2 behind doors of a software company I worked for and it had a projector in it and did early Alarmo and game assets display. It was shown in a 3d printed dev shell, and Switch 1 modded controllers. We were asked to conceptualise gaming ideas.

Brace for rumors, speculation whatnot for Switch 3. Going to be another few years of these before Switch 3 released 😆

@@DaviMourao Depends. S2 could flop hence another name could be used instead. Anyways, Switch in my original comment is simply Nintendo's console after S2. Peace out
@ I know what you meant. It just got me thinking about the name strategy, since they're always trying some different and never seem to stick with a main console name for more than 2 gens (NES -> SNES, Wii -> Wii U).
@@DaviMourao imho current management is like one at Apple, they play safe without drastic changes to their well established Switch ie platform/ecosystem. Hence Switch 2 easily understood by consumer instead ambiguous like Wii U. Also, not anyone can be late Iwata. :)
I'm just glad Nintendo didn't try to be cute with the name so there should be no real reason for the to be another Wii U problem of people confusing it as a add-on. I do fear this might be a New 3DS situation but I think Playstation has put it in enough peoples minds that 2 does mean a brand new console, I just hope it still looking like a Switch doesn't harm it.
Honestly the name kinda says it all. They seem to be trying to sell excursively from their micro monopolies on games, brand recognition and franchises.
From the Mario Kart footage there certainly isn't ray tracing and Nintendo uploaded the video in 1080p so I don't think it is going to do up-scaling to 4k. Considering that there was 8 years of hardware and software advancements, I expected more. Maybe there is hdr but I am starting to have my doubts now.
Maybe it's too early to tell but I think they revealed more about the console and their strategy than they intended.

I’m going to call it now. The incompatible games are applications like Labo that depend on the size and shape Of the original joycons. Not to mention the IR sensor which appears to be missing.
I still can't tell how the joycons lock to the system. If they're just magnetic, I'd be very worried.
it looks like there’s some latches in the back of the joycons that lock/unlock them in. 0:56 shows the latch being pressed and the joycon being released
There's a button to release them, so I would assume they lock into place somehow.
They are magnetic locks most likely. Think of the security systems for doors. They lock on and are pretty much stuck together very well unless released.
on the bottom of the joy con there is a recess where the key attaches, in all the videos you can see how the controller first clings to the bottom and then snaps onto the top
Strong magnets
I'm still waiting on a switch tv only. If we can have a portable only in the lite, why not a tv only? Bin the screen, battery and joycons. Integrate the dock and throw in a pro controller. Boom done.
FYI, I dont do portable gaming and I'm not asking for a more powerful ctv only onsole, I just don't want to have to deal with future swelling batteries or paying for bits of hardware I won't ever use.
Still, the switch 2 looks interesting.
With the rise of handheld PCs, this better be priced competitively. No way this thing is worth buying unless you can jail break it.
Bring back the charisma that the 3DS has with the customization of Themes something new or similar or improved from street pass and believe me that we will have the definitive Nintendo console I am sick of Having lived 8 years with only a black and white theme
Well they're sure bringing back the charisma for the shitty new Mario redesigns.
I'm interested in knowing if emulation of Switch games will still be better than playing them on the Switch 2, part of me hopes they'll be going back and patching a lot of their older stuff but I just don't see them doing that for most of their first party stuff
Whoah you got this video out very quickly, within the hour after the reveal!
Priorities.
It’s about time that Nintendo announced the Switch 2! It’s like eight years since the original Switch has launched, and the big third party games can longer run on the current Switch, which Nintendo needs to keep up with the ninth generation consoles for third party developers!
All I can think is that a $500 USD price is way out of touch.
If they did a box for 300 without a screen...I'd prob bite just to play a new Mario Kart...but I don't need portable and I'm not paying 500 just for a new MK
Why not make all 3....a switch that can dock, a switch lite that can't dock and a switch box...that can't go portable! Everyone happy

@@burgertanker7970 Well, for me biggest design flaw was not the sticks - after all, you can easily replace them for a new ones for a price of two beers.
Biggest issue is their idiotic slide system that make console unusable in portal mode due to constant disconnections.
The connections for the Joycons immediately remind me of the ports on desktop pc Plug-N-Play cards. I have a feeling Nintendo might use this potential "port" for various official accessories.
Glad they are confirming backwards compatibility for physical AND digital original Switch games - makes me more likely to get one. The disclaimer about not everything running is to cover themselves; I'm guessing it's a few outliers like Labo and Ring Fit.
I can't imagine caring about the bezel.
I was hoping Nintendo had something more innovative up their sleeve given that the Steam Deck exists with it's huge library. Maybe this won't be a problem, or Nintendo is banking on exclusives, or I'm hoping Nintendo is still hiding something innovative for April.
It's too safe and normal for Nintendo. it seems a shame it has no crazy features or gimmicks like with 3DS or Wii/WiiU, Nintendo were always innovating for new ways to play but for now this seems pretty generic, hope there is more to the system when we get the Direct in April.
Yeah, this is boring.
been saying this for months and people called me crazy for not being that hype
They don't need to innovate... they just need to make good games
No, that's good. Nintendo used to actually care about power. "Now you're playing with power". They need to make powerhouse hardware again.
I think Nintendo, in general, has been playing it safe since the untimely passing of Satoru Iwata. For a lack of better words, Nintendo feels a bit more corporate with things like the system UI, the lack of Miis, Miiverse, and, of course, the Eshop, which is very lacking in presentation.
You're the only reaction vid I'm watching. Love your grounded input on gaming topics.
I just hope it has better specs than were leaked previously, to make it at least competitive with the steam deck and other modern handhelds
I'll wait until its out before I get excited, there's been too many rug pulls between announcement and launch the last 3 gens for me to get hyped
The thick layer of dust on my Switch is telling me I should pass on the slightly bigger Switch.
Yeah, i sold mine & got a Steam Deck. It's on a whole other level.
Its the same lazy, low spec, unimpressive, garbage.
Skip.
I take mine to work. Play it daily.
Pretty underwhelming, but makes sense
This won't sell nearly as well as the Switch, not even close, it's a different world now
It will be a disapointment for sure. Especially with the large install base on the switch third party games will be targeted for switch 1 performance so they can benplayed in both consoles.
Yeah, I’m going to hold off for the moment on this one. There’s bound to be strange peculiarities that will probably be solved by the inevitable version II. Watching from the rafters though.
You love saying “but look” and “and look” a lot😂 But look… great video!! Looking forward to the Switch 2.
A nice early birthday present for me. A Switch 2 acknowledgement from Nintendo 😅
Happy Birthday!
Nintendo is excited to announce the future announcement of the announcement of the launch of Switch 2. 😏
Yeah that's literally what seems to be going on here.
Wonder how long it'll be before confirmed tech specs are out
4/2/25 at the latest! 👍
It's gonna be like a PS4.
@@Ariesonico22 Lmao it's a lot more capable than ps4. 50% more ram, more powerful cpu and gpu + DLSS
I know this is unlikely to happen but something very specific I would like them to do is increase the amount of items you can fuse together when playing Loz totk on the switch 2
I would have loved to see them take a wild swing with something new, but if they aren't going to do any significant innovation, the Switch design is a good one to stick with.
Still think it's a missed opportunity for a throwback by calling it the Super Nintendo Switch
Wow they really played it safe with this one, what a snoozefest. I guess the switch OLEDs will hold their value for awhile now.
Surprised they went with same dock design. Lots of scratch potential with it. Those controller connectors look flimsy too.
Right. Nintendo wouldn't do extensive testing during development?
@@Nickbaldeagle02 Exactly. If they were in tune with the consumers they would've fixed those issues, and made it a marketing focus to advertise better thumbsticks. 8BitDo has excellent sticks, they know what they're doing.
Keep it going MVG. I like your podcast since it summarizes everything important and I don't have to search for it.
Take a close look at 1:12-1:16. Nintendo actually show us that the Joy-Cons can be used as a MOUSE!
ZOMG NO WAY THOSE HAVE NEVER EXISTED BEFORE......
Now that it's been officially unveiled I'm really happy to see Nintendo simply iterating on the formula of the Switch. I'm so tired of in the corporate world where we have to constant change for the sake of change. The formula with the Switch is a home run. Simply tweaking it to address nuanced improvements is exactly what was needed. I'm thankful that Nintendo has taken this approach and really look forward to having a little beefier hardware in terms of size and specs and look forward to the next 5 years of jamming out with this thing.
8 years. It's been 8 years since the Switch. Which is likely too long considering the hardware that's expected to be in this.
What kind of backwards universe do you live in? Sony and Microsoft constantly iterate on their old system, Nintendo is following _their_ formula instead of doing something new and interesting like they usually do
@@Melonposting That would be true, if we were talking about a mid gen refresh.
This is supposed to be the Switch 2.
It seems more like the Switch Pro.
There isn't enough of a leap for it to be the next gen, like Sony and Microsoft do.
It reminds me of the PS5 Pro, except that could do 4K. 10 years ago.
i want a switch 2...
Mom: we have switch at home..
why are you acting like nintendo is the only one that has revised their old hardware? are you regarded?
So it's the Nintendo Switch... with a slightly more powerful Tegra.
Exactly as expected.
How many third-party games do you think will actually release "Switch 2 exclusive"? Ten?
its definitely a switch pro in disguise, but without the actual enhancement of their old games which is crazy wild. but their fans have issues so theyll buy whatever slop is handed to them
I find it dumb that people discredit leaks when recently they've been 95% accurate...
That's only the big Nintendo channels in that kind of denial. The same ones who would never say anything negative about the company.
Leaks should never be taken for granted, that's why they're called "leaks", anybody can make them, I prefer to wait for the official annoncement to start making conclusions
Leakers can be wrong sometimes though so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt
i find it dumb that youd blindly believe anything you see on the internet regardless of if it turned out true or not :^)
The size of that “2” screams out “yes, we learned our lesson from the Wii U!”
Sold my Switch at the peak of the market during Covid. Never looking back, I wont buy Nintendo.
So happy. This will be my bday or Christmas present. The S2 looks sezxy
Good luck with that. I 100% guarantee they'll be sold out for months
@@SVD978 getting it on Christmas is definitely a bad idea i agree with you
@@BeansLive567 I'll wait til my birthday next year
I really wanted analog triggers, other than that.. I love it.
So you love everything that they throw at you?
I'll be laughing my ass off if people think Devs are gonna optimize for the switch 2.
They can barely make ps5 games run 60fps with all that processing overhead, what hope do they have with PS4 architecture?
Surely them expecting AI framegen like DLSS is just a joke, right?
It's the gpu vendors, Epic's UE and greedy top brass at dev studios. They're all parasitically linked to screw us over because they know we don't really need much more powerful gpus anymore. Doom Eternal's engine proves we can squeeze a lot more out of even old tech but this gives an excuse for dev studios to be cheap while also bulking up gpu sales. Hiring not based on merit has probably had a role to play too.
People shouldn't have begged for a Switch 2 for "better graphics", they're going to be as blurry as they were before because unlike Switch 1, they'll put even less effort into optimization, they're just gonna do straight port of PC/PS4 games with dynamic resolution slapped on top and call it a day.
They just need to add where you can have like 4 people in a “family” together where they can all gameshare off of each other
Really liking the stealthy modern mature new black look. Appears to be the official launch release Nintendo Switch 2 color. I wonder how the slim is going to be like down the line.
4:51 Nah, I don't like leaks. Don't give them credit.
Shut up b it ch
What reason do you have to dislike leaks, other than corporate bootlicking?
@@bluboxes Homie thinks Nintendo has his best interest in mind
i hope some smart people will jailbreak this quickly.
I'm of two minds. I like the thought of hacking but early jailbreaks on Nintendo hardware usually means rampant piracy and lower sales/profits which means a less successful system which means less drive to create better hardware next time.
Buy the software, don't be a dick!
@Tb0n3 You think we want to give Nintendo money beyond what we are forced to?
@@Tb0n3you’re never going to believe this but the PS1 and PS2 both had widespread piracy but people still made heaps and heaps of games for it and Sony was still satisfied. Piracy normally doesn’t matter too much for sales and success. Switch also has massive piracy as well from about a year in on. The only two systems you can actually prove were hurt by piracy was the Amiga and the Dreamcast.
@@Geferulf_TAS so I take it you hate Nintendo and don't want them to continue to be in business?
The only commentary on RUclips I was waiting for and watched
I like seeing the back of those stamped steel rails. Hopefully the extra shoulder triggers are properly customisable, they should make soulslikes more enjoyable to play!
Maybe this is unfair given how little they intended to show in this video but from the Mario Kart footage there certainly isn't ray tracing and Nintendo uploaded the video in 1080p so I don't think it is going to do up-scaling to 4k. Considering that there was 8 years of hardware and software advancements, I expected more. Maybe there is hdr but I am starting to have my doubts now.
They seem to be trying to sell exclusively from their micro monopolies on games, brand recognition and franchises.
Maybe it's too early to tell but I think they revealed more about the console and their strategy than they intended.
My switch has been collecting dust since the Steam Deck came out. Same thing will happen to my Steam Deck when the Deckard comes out.
My Steam Deck is gathering dust as I've returned to the Switch in the past 6 months.
