    That's super trick! I'm in the middle of that exact thing right now! Trying to wire my car and got a bunch of buttons! Good timing. Very nice work!!

    I have a butterfly wheel in my Miller dragster and I love it. btw I love the way you designed and constructed your butterfly wheel.

    I have always used a common power on steering wheel buttons. Reduces the wires and keeps it cleaner. Great job! Another cool thought would be to do something like fanatec does on their sim wheels. Their electrical quick connects are built in to the wheel socket, when you release the wheel, you also release all the connections. I am sure that would get expensive but a good way to keep everthing clean and have no curly wires at all.

    Great video Tom. I've also spent many hours trying to get my wheel just right. I'm using an American butterfly too. I run my bump down button on top so I can just slap it quick. I used to use a burnout button, but after talking to Gary Stinnett at PRI, I got rid of it.

      Do you remember what was the reason to not use it?

      @@GallStarTV Yeah, he said it's hard on the valvetrain, especially valve springs. There was some discussion in elite about it too. I know Luke doesn't use one either.

      I set my burn out rpm high enough that I never get “on it” but just as a back up if I do screw up, which I guess is somewhat redundant since I have a main rpm limiter also.

    I may have to steal this idea on my build. Awesome way to innovate Tom. Quick question though.... what is the relay for next to the junction block you have the cable running into?

    • @32vofFury
      @32vofFury 3 месяца назад

      Also, can you provide links to some of the stuff like the cable and connectors. It would save me some googley time.

    Have to be careful of the side buttons with your gloves on. Especially the nitrous button. I'm sure you already checked that. Thats a really nice looking dragster.

    Surprised nobody else has thought about the side buttons. Did American already have the brackets or did you custom make them?

    • @GallStarTV
      @GallStarTV  3 месяца назад +1

      I laser cut the side panels with the button holes in them and bolted them to the side of the butterfly wheel 👍

      Last couple years I’ve started releasing again. That’s what’s nice about the z-force pro cube… if you get in a slump you can change up your whole procedure with one switch!!

    Great button layout. Who offers the silver “Biondo DoubleO” style Transbrake button?
