  • Lets talk about 4 link suspension a minute and what changes we are gonna make going from backside to front side. Each car is different, but today we are gonna do some calculations to see where we are and where we want to be. From what I have seen these are the changes that are needed and necessary. Lets go.......

That chassis will wanna plain with the horizon rather than rake. Have it setup so after it leaves its on plain. That probably means having the ass end higher than the front

4 link settings really depend on the shocks ur running with wat chassis

I would drop the top one hole and run a MT tire. I have the feeling you are gonna have wheelie problems with what you are planning.

Hey John, I don’t see the turbo keychains listed on your website?

Id use ride height for squat, like i said. It wont be like a long travel foxbodie setups

Can you show what you would look for on a perfect launch to you? Or what you think is a perfect launch? I know every car is different. But there are things you may see that others don’t. Thank you

Id imgaine with a short strut in front youd wanna set it up so the front moves the least as possible. Or else It'll bounce

The amount of anti squat is only a part of the puzzle as you know better than I! The amount of anti squat equates to how hard and how aggressively the rear tires are forced into the pavement. This is in addition to the amount of weight transfer from the front and to the amount of weight on the rear end. Obviously a car with greater (controlled) weight transfer (achieved by engine height, engine placement and front end extension) can achieve the same rear tire downward force with less weight on the rear of the car. This car would have an advantage on back side races by having the same amount of rear bite with less overall weight. Adding rear weight is kind of a crutch for a chassis system that is limited in adjustment like the Saturn. And why you are building a new car!! High crank centerline, engine as far back as possible for optimal weight bias, long travel front struts and rear bars with tons of adjustment. 👍

This car wont want the setup the foxbodies had

I think radial cars separate to stop wheelies but maybe it helps with traction.
