I was about to take mine apart and try some real intensive DIY. For the last three weeks I have tried every solution under the sun and to take it apart was my last resort. Brand new MFC-J460DW Brother Work Smart bought four weeks ago and has been useless and unable to print at all. THIS man is right. IT WORKED. BELIEVE THIS MAN. Papa Arnold, I have gone through a number of youtube post to fix the ink cartridge issue on my Epson wf-7620 and had no success. After watching your tutorial i had success and the printer recognized the ink cartridges. I appreciate the old school tutorials as it reminds me of all the safety videos i have seen here in Australia. Thank you Arnold

I was starting to look for deals on new printers when I came across this video. I tried it, and it fixed the problem beautifully. Bravo!

Yes!! Thank you!! Worked for my Epson work force 2630. I bought refillable cartridges and was so disappointed when it wouldn’t read, then I found out I couldn’t return them. Thought I had made a bad investment and was going to write them off as a loss and go back to buying new cartridges. Thank you for saving me headaches and money!!

Thank you so much. You saved my HP1315v from going in the trash. I had tried turning the printer on and off but not disconnecting it from the wall. I don't have a switch on my wall. I just unplugged the computer, waited five minutes and turned it back on and the the troublesome red E "cartridge error' went away and I could print in color.
I’m having technical difficulty with my WF 3640!!! I’m just about ready to pull my hair out! Nothing is working! First it was the black and now it’s fine now it’s cyan and magenta not working right! Ughhhhhhhh it says it’s not recognized

We have a MX922, one of the most sold printer in US, probably in the world. I tried what you Grandpa suggests here. it seems to work. Have to print more things to make it sure though. The Cannon served well but when it doesn't work, wow it is very frustrating. thanks for the video.
Greetings Arnold. My printer (MX922) displayed "ON" LEDs only for 1 cartridge, that is atop cartridge. The others had LEDs on at the bottom. Printed stuff looked awful. However, followed your method and got success. Good advice, great video. Thank you.

Thanks for showing me how to fix this issue. Canons can be so finicky even when using a reliable brand of ink. In my case, the PGI 250XL (black photographic ink) was rejected again after running your troubleshoot. I restarted your troubleshoot and left the cover open but didn't remove any cartridges. The PGI 250XL cartridge light was barely lit but after a few minutes, the light brightened to the intensity of the others. I closed the cover and it ran its cycle and accepted that cartridge.
Just an update, it’s didn’t work... Any ideas anyone?? We are using not the original inks by the way but it’s shows red light connection. So they must be working??? Thanks
