How to fix an hp printer: Step 1: throw it in the trash and go buy a brother, epson, cannon, anything besides a damn hp. A damn etch a sketch would be a better option than an hp printer.
HP sucks ass! They try to load you up with all kinds of spyware and advertisement B.S. AND they make their machines difficult to get into and don't answer questions so you have to pay them for support!
Epson does the same thing... Horrible piece of garbage. Don't buy.... No matter what you do it won't accept the new cartridges because it's not Epson ink. It's a terrible machine. Problems all started when I updated printer this last time.
I had unplugged the printer after I put the new cartridges in and it wasn't printing. Then following the advice on the video, I removed the cartridges and unplugged the printer again. After reinserting the cartridges, it worked great! Thanks!

Needed to print out a QR Scan code to get into work tomorrow and my trusty deskjet failed for the first time in 10 years. Even tried adding fresh cartridges... Can't thank you enough for making this most informative and helpful video!

This solution also worked for me. I followed the virtual assistant instructions. 1. leaving the printer on 2. unplug power cord 3. wait for a full 60 seconds 4. plug power cord back in, 5. Printer should automatically turn on. If not, turn it back on. 6. Done. Cartridge error should stop blinking.

Mine right out of the box brand new and it's a useless POS with the cartridges that came with it. Not even going to waste my time trying to move it around to plug it into a wall outlet.

This printer gave me a lot of stress... I won't buy any printer that included removing of the cartridge during ink refill anymore.. This product is poorly designed...
Unfortunately, this "fix" did not work for my new HP 4155e printer when trying to replace starter cartridges with a new "Instant Ink" color cartridge that was mailed to me from HP. The black replacement works fine but the color cartridge does not. I've tried these steps, as well as many others from other videos. I'm convinced that this new color cartridge is defunct. I've also tried contacting HP about this problem and I am unable to get thru to a an actual live person. Also tried using HP Smart app to fix the problem to no avail. And last but not least, I've tried to use the HPDr app to fix the problem. I'm stuck, and don't know how to get this defunct cartridge replaced. This is NOT looking good for HP!
This is the error that’s displayed on my printer when I replaced my ink cartridges for new ones. The indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer. If this problem persists, replace the cartridges. My printer is the house envy 7800 all in one. FYI I insert my old one and printer is ready to print.

hp 3054 reads (black cartridge problem). Problem started after I cleared clogged print head with vacuum cleaner. Worked ok for couple copies., then the problem. Tried all the steps in your video with no success. Your guidance appreciated. Thank you.
Is there any part inside the printer that might be glogged other than the cartridges ? The message I get says ink cartridge failure but they do have ink. Helpppp?
@@marywoods6283 ... If your printer is older, used sparingly or used extensively there is big possibility that the Printer Head contact pins are not working. That part, called CPCA needs to be changed .... It is a simple open and change operation.

I tried all of it and none of it works for me 😭 my printer is probably 2 years old? And I rarely use it too. I bought a new ink for it and then there it stopped working. At first I had a hard time printing like when I was trying to print a document it only prints a few words and it's done and I tried it so many times and it's still the same. And I tried most of the tutorials I saw even cleaning the cartridge and still didn't do anything. And now I'm trying again and it keeps saying the printer is blocked and also can't recognise the ink. 😭
When I unplug the printer, and I plug it back in, the 1st message I get is "unplugging your printer before shutting it off can damage your printer.". But, when I press the on/off button, it says the same thing. AND, when I get the missing print head or out of ink message, and I try to reseat the cartridges, when I open the door to the cartridges, they don't move into a position where I can get to them. So, I have no choice but to unplug it and plug it back in. It's so frustrating. Your tips worked though. I unplugged the printer, and waited. Plugged it back in. Then it wanted to re-calibrate. So, I let it. Then, it let me print.

The printer I bought came with a free ink subscription. After changing the black ink I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. Then watched this video and checked the ink they sent me and it wasn’t even the same one. I just assumed it was since hp sent it 😂😂

well, i just use isopropyl 99,8% with my glasses cloath and cleaned the terminals. That worked!

mine is not working as well, checked on HP website it's original, but when I put back the old w/ almost empty ink it's working (just all pink)

Clean the cartridge ..... Unplug the printer from the Wall Socket and never use the Power Extension Cord or Surge Protector.

It is a dinosaur printer but it prints nice when it prints lols. It's an HP Deskjet 1000 J100
