Besides the idea that the director wanted to make this film as gross as possible, not only the woman would've been in a greater state of shock, that scene reminds the viewer that the universe this movie takes place in is gross, devoided of morals, empathy and justice. Like a dark reality where everyone is gross and awful, and those who aren't suffer the worst of fates.
Pretty sure Martin imagined most of his experiences in the film , he should've ended up in jail at the end. Too many things point to that theory being true. But it wasn't real anyway because of part 3 ! Disgust and controversy aside , I give the movie 4 stars !
There's plenty of clues for it being just a fantasy. The fact that he could not possibly move his neighbour, because of his size, to the girl from from the first film just turning up for a Tarantino audition 😅 The ending confirms it, he's back at work, licking his lips. The point being that what lies in some peoples minds is far scarier than anything you'll see in real life.

Fun fact, 10 years ago after watching the first film with my friend. We were teenagers who just sat around watching any and all horror movies after school. Even really bad horror movies. We just liked over the top fucked up crazy stuff in horror movies. We were talking for a bit going into a blind viewing of the second movie. I started telling my friend "If I was the one making The Human Centipede 2 here's how I would do it" and I proceeded to perfectly describe the first bit of the second film. About a guy being obsessed with the first movie. We were blown away. How could I have predicted that?
I know he’s probably a cool guy but good god girl his face scares me so fricking much. I’ll take the bludgeoning scenes over that one where he slowly licks his fingers, shit makes me gag
Mad props to this guy for being able to understand what anyone was saying in this movie, considering there's only the odd scream or grunt in otherwise ringing silence.
I interpreted the ending as an implication that all of the events we just witnessed never happened. The kid crying in the background was then merely a calling for the guy to act on his sick fantasy, or perhaps simply an allusion to how he felt when he was being molested by his father. Somehow the reveal on the notion that people fantasize about things like this feels in a way more wretched than people actually doing them, because you never know what is going on in someone's mind, nor how vile its depths can be.
Nah Laurence the guy who played him put claim it Happened and it was the guy who played him. He knows my feelings on Martin and it shocked the Hell out of him esp. hearing "I see you like your my "FATHER"

My friend group had this thing where we would watch The human centipede trilogy everytime there was a break before our next class. I've seen a lot of movies in my life, and I'm really into all kind of slasher, vile and gruesome films but this and the Serbian film were the two most disturbing movies I've seen up until now. No words
I think it’s brilliant that all three movies in the trilogy have vastly different tones, styles, and intensity. I love parts 1& 3, but I can’t stomach part 2. I love the the first is subtle and more implied horror. I love that the third one is silly, campy, and over the top.
when i was a kid i went out of my way to watch the most graphic shit I could find. I've seen a lot of movies. And i loved this one. I loved the cinematography, loved all the close ups on people's faces, especially the main character's, as there is so much emotion and psychosis in his face. The aesthetics of it makes it feel like a real snuff film. That being said, now, as an adult, I struggle to watch stuff like this. I actually get nauseous. I loved this movie when i was 13...i tried to rewatch it recently and couldn't finish it, even though I had seen it already. This one is definitely the most visceral and gory of the trilogy.
@@smollilbean i was raised on horror movies. I saw my first one, House of Wax, when I was 8. I had seen all the Saw movies that were out before this one. I loved it because it was so gory and was also really well filmed
Honestly a great video here lad, love the way you spoke about the movie. I would love to see a comparison of the first Human centipede and the third human centipede movie.
I have to give credit where it's due to the producer/director of such movies like Saw, Hostel, and the Human Centipede for their originality. It seems with the horror genre that they have to push the envelope further and further because people become desensitized to things after awhile. I mean when The Exorcist was showing in theaters, people were given barf buckets and some where passing out. This was back in 1973. How many people were traumatized after seeing the original Texas chainsaw massacre or Jaws?
Even with your comforting voice in the background, this video is still VERY disturbing. Still keep up the good work of making these videos because it gives people like me a chance to watch a movie without the experience of having to be heavily disturbed (even though this movie no matter what will be disturbing).
"but I'm pretty sure you don't need a tongue to scream" you infact don't, Your tongue is responcible for putting together sounds to form speech, your vocal cords make the sounds so removing a tongue makes you close to unable to to talk, but making noise and screaming is completely possible and it doesn't sound too different from normal screaming
@@alexmoscatelli149I learned in middle school choir class that it's the trachea/vocal chords that make sound but teeth, tongue, and lips are what gives us the ability to change how it sounds. The tongue and lips are crucial for speech and if you have ever heard someone without their dentures in talk you know their words and very slurred and muffled especially trying to say things with t and ch sounds. We actually had a vocal warmup exercise in that class that pressed the importance in and helped us enunciate our words when singing: "the lips, the teeth, the tip of the tongue articulate the words to be sung" repeated going up and down the scales
I'm amazed how the main actor said so little compared to the first movie yet left me feeling sick, uneasy and scared for the next upcoming sceene. At no point did I stop feeling anxious, the actor did his job playing a deranged man. I'm amazed.
I’ve always refused to watch this movie and you’ve definitely confirmed that I shouldn’t wtf from the babies to the staples the damn mother wtf is this
You know those rare times where you see or hear something that disturbs you DEEP in your core.....I’m feeling that to the point of feeling sick to my stomach and not wanting to go to bed......
i remember watching this trilogy a few years ago. i’ll give any horror movie a chance because i’m a fan of the genre. why i even bothered to finish these is beyond me. maybe shock factor?(probably what these aim for) but this movie is definitely the most disgusting of the three in my opinion. 💀
I can barley handle this as a 17 year old, and someone who is a frequent horror movie watch, so I can imagine what trauma this could cause for a ten year old.
I've always seen this film as a minor masterpiece in forlorn hopelessness. We are to pity the mental fantasy of Martin Lomax: the eternally rejected and physically repulsive freak of society striking back at a world that would rather have him dead. So devoid of dignity that death seems like a relief for him and his mum. The last vestige of brutal cruelty Martin must endure in his existence filled with atrocities is the reality that his fantasy is all a dream, and the true horror is his daily life. The ultimate tragedy may be how his story is duplicated endlessly within the annals of human history. People debasing people. His history would warp the mind of any fellow pariah. Is there no sympathy at all for him as a victim?
You’re not kidding There’s no redeeming part of this movie at all There’s movies that are gross but at least had some kind of message you can get out of them, but this movie was just made to be disgusting. That pregnant woman giving birth and the kid getting smashed is just absolutely vile. There’s absolutely nothing that this movie has to offer the viewer
This is one of the times I just want to know why this movie, or this franchise for that matter, exists. It has no need to, it should not need to, but it just does.
Yea, aren't movies supposed for entertaining. This is far from entertaining, and even scary. It's just pure gross, inhumane, vile and disgusting. Wtf is in the head of the directors.
With the cinematography of the second movie, the director really managed to go way beyond the first one. The first movie, for the most part, is jsut seen as some deeply disturbed body horror pscho flick without a lot to it. The second movie, with the general idea of it and it's artstyle actually managed to be way more. Sure, it still is großß and disturbing body horror but it has a much more intrigueing artistic vision behind it. At least in my personal opinion, others might say, it just tried to slap that artistic vision losely onto it to hide the fact that it's just a well camouflaged money grab
Definitely the most disturbing film of the trilogy. Part 1 is creepy but it's tame and Part 3 is so over the top/ ridiculous that it honestly just feels like a parody of itself. But this movie is just plain screwed up on so many levels.
as a 15 year old that has watched the whole trilogy.. please don’t watch this one it’s by far the worst of the 3 it made me throw up multiple times and nearly pass out!😁
The guy never spoke a word in the movie, right? How did he get his job I wonder. And how did he convince that one actress to come for an audition in a Quentin Tarantino movie?
The most random portion of the feature is where Six explains that he forced Laurence R. Harvey to rape a chair in order to land the role of the new villain, Martin. “The villain was more difficult [to cast], because people who’ve seen ‘Part I’ really admire Dr. Heiter, and that’s what I really didn’t want. I want the complete opposite of Dr. Heiter. I had this very specific character in my mind for the Martin character, and I saw a lot of people but none of them made it. And when Laurence came in, I thought, my God, that’s him, that’s him. He looks amazing. And then I asked him to rape a chair.”

Dang thats cool
You‘re Tom Six. Not sure if that is a good thing though.
Probably because the premise was kinda uncreative and lazy.

No words
I think it’s brilliant that all three movies in the trilogy have vastly different tones, styles, and intensity. I love parts 1& 3, but I can’t stomach part 2. I love the the first is subtle and more implied horror. I love that the third one is silly, campy, and over the top.
But the second. Oh no.
when i was a kid i went out of my way to watch the most graphic shit I could find.

Thank you for sitting through these things for those of us who don't want to watch them, muchos appreciated, my dude. Love your vids
I watched Jaws at 5 years old and loved the movie, Sharks for life bro!
People were traumatized by jaws? I watched it in prime video and the rating was 7+ lol
Even with your comforting voice in the background, this video is still VERY disturbing.
Still keep up the good work of making these videos because it gives people like me a chance to watch a movie without the experience of having to be heavily disturbed (even though this movie no matter what will be disturbing).
This movie makes Saw and Final Destination child movies
This movie really is a masterpiece. I almost always watch it while eating!
Thanks for the recap.

I envy your strong stomach
True. It has balls unlike all the sanitised crap these days.
"but I'm pretty sure you don't need a tongue to scream"
you infact don't, Your tongue is responcible for putting together sounds to form speech, your vocal cords make the sounds so removing a tongue makes you close to unable to to talk, but making noise and screaming is completely possible and it doesn't sound too different from normal screaming
...How do you know that last piece of information?
@@alexmoscatelli149 :3
@@SamiTheAnxiousBeanbruh

With the cinematography of the second movie, the director really managed to go way beyond the first one. The first movie, for the most part, is jsut seen as some deeply disturbed body horror pscho flick without a lot to it. The second movie, with the general idea of it and it's artstyle actually managed to be way more. Sure, it still is großß and disturbing body horror but it has a much more intrigueing artistic vision behind it.
At least in my personal opinion, others might say, it just tried to slap that artistic vision losely onto it to hide the fact that it's just a well camouflaged money grab
