- Protesters have shut down college campuses across the country, creating a level of tension not seen since the Vietnam War. Threats of suspension and expulsion have been made by university administrations, but students continue to rally in support of Palestinians. Now, police across the country have begun to crack down, arresting over 1,000 protesters. This week on What’s America Thinking, host Julia Manchester dives deep into what rights these students have with constitutional law expert, criminal defense and civil rights lawyer, Robert McWhirter. The primary purpose of the Second Amendment is to ensure that should a tyrannical power overtake the Nation, Americans will be able to defend themselves; because this danger always exists.

I grew up in the 60s and 70s. Back then I just couldn't wrap my head around violent "anti-war" protests. I still can't. Hamas would have a violent authoritarian regime. They won an election with a plurality of the votes and no elections since 2006. They are not the good guys.

stopping the MIC will not be done by other countries . The American people need to lead that undertaking . Having an international community calling out US for supporting war crimes should help .
The problem with students is that they're young adults. Whenever American kids rise up against the government, they do so on a scale foreign observers can barely imagine. This is gonna continue ALL SUMMER!

I applaud the American students that are protesting, this is a remarkable generation .I do hope that they could be more creative and read their textbooks on the lawns ,they cant be arrested for that.They could even just simply fill the jails and exhaust the system ,I'm just saying.
This is going to end up in the supreme court in regards to protestors on privite property and damaging property which is not protected behavior. The question the supreme court will have to rule on will be in regards to freedom of speach.

Anyone who uses violence or destroys property are wrong and should be arrested for the harm they cause. For those that are peaceful they shouldn't be brutally assaulted while being arrested. The Vietnam war protests helped bring an end of the war. There will always be bad people who are agitators who use the opportunity to commit violence and don't represent those who are protesting to bring attention to an injustice, immoral or illegal behavior of our government. College students believe the issue is the US being complicit in the genocide of the Palestinians by Netanyahu and the IDF and that this needs to stop.

Throughout human history, the slaves embrace the religion of their masters, and it is the job of the masters to teach the slaves their new religion! Therefore, slaves cannot be blamed for not recognizing their sacred gods. The gap between the ruler and the ruled must be reduced by disseminating secret sacred religious knowledge and making it public.

Humans have mastered the art of worshiping the sacred gods throughout history, and they even made human sacrifices to the gods (the gods are superior to humans and sacred). Humans were created. I’d like to ask the protesters, when was the last time you volunteered at your local SPCA , senior living center, hospital, participated in a street cleanup up or attended a community town hall? Why are you worried about a conflict older than time, on the other side of the world ? If you want to make a better world, start in your back yard.
