I've been a loyal follower of Whitney for the last 7 years, my entire natural hair journey. I LOVE MELANIN HAIR PRODUCTS. They are the ONLY products that keep my hair moisturized and soft. They are the ONLY products that make my hair hold a crimp after twisting. I still use her diy strategies. WHITNEY has inspired my gorgeous big full afro. It was hard trying to find someone whose hair is like mine. I was already natural but still straightening my hair. I realized I was gonna have to stop and better treat my hair. I have been with Whitney since the diy experiment days. I still do some of them for myself. Her videos helped me know what my hair likes. Whitney, I am locked in with Melanin! Just bought my first Deep Conditioner + another Leave in. Thank you for your inspiration.
I cut off my relaxed hair in 2008 and remember watching your early video. The content and DIY was great but I mainly liked your personality. You never got into the negativity and messiness that a lot of other content creators did back then.

Literally Whitney is a big part of why I went natural. No one believed I could or would do it (not even my mother). But in high school when I sat down and watched on of her videos, I just felt there was something there and then I started binge watching her videos and would be so excited when a new one came out. I was able to purchase nearly every product through ulta except for their oil. Unfortunately they were sold out so I was forced to get the Mielle rosemary oil instead but I set the notifications to notify me when the melanin oil comes back into stock.
